I just bought my outlander ES yesterday, after having it for a day I have a little buyer's remorse wishing I got the SE. I hadn't intended to buy a new car but went to look at a low mileage used car and it ended up being only $3000 more for brand new vs 17k miles on a 2-year-old car, so I got the new one. The thing that sold me was the warranty, 10 years and my son will be learning to drive, it doesn't have a ton of power but enough that it feels a little sporty. Why the SE vs ES? There are just enough upgrades to the electronics to make it worthwhile. The 360 camera seems like a gimic but the car doesn't have the best visibility so this weird camera view would help. The wireless charging for my phone but more importantly, the power ports for the second row. Heated front seats. The third-row seats are probably going to be useless, but I have kids so maybe not... but probably. There isn't a lot of storage upfront, I was more than a little disappointed the glove box won't even fit the owner's manuals (Come on, make sure these fit!), the armrest storage is also tiny, so you have the doors as the last place. The inside seems kinda cheap, it doesn't rattle or move but it's not soft. The hood does vibrate a little but I was told they have a solution and will retrofit it when it comes in. What I really think this vehicle need is an adventure package: a durable, washable interior, ditch the third row for more storage space with a waterproof tray, add a roof rack and trailer hitch.

First thing after buying i identified was a shaking hood. Mitsubishi should address this asap. Mitsubishi can look to the side but this really make you feel unsafe and scare.

Too many mechanical issues!

The Cooling unit blew, the emissions sensor malfunctioned, and just today there was another malfunction affecting my 4WD, ABS, brake assist, etc systems…. All in 7,500 miles. These also miraculously fix themselves when I turn the car off and back on…. Waiting for many many recalls. Luckily I have a free 10 year 100k bumper to bumper warranty that covers it all but its still a pain in the butt.

I bought my Mitsubishi Outlander SEL about 2 months ago and my fiancé and I are in love! I needed a bigger vehicle since we have a little one on the way. I test drove the Toyota Highlander, Acura MDX, Cadillac X5 and Infiniti QX60 and out of all of them the Outlander was my favorite for so many reasons. The Outlander drive is so smooth, size is very comfortable, leather and interior on my SEL is top notch reminded me of a luxury car and the gas mileage is incredible! I am averaging about 28 miles to the gallon and I drive in the city 90 percent of the time. Given that it is a 4 cylinder I think the power is great for the size. They used the same powertrain as the Nissan Rogue for this vehicle. I think Mitsubishi is really underrated in the America and I am so happy with this vehicle we keep finding things that we love about it!

Great Vehicle - Design is impressive

Our new outlander SE tech AWD is very impressive given the cost and what you get for the $$$. Sure it could use some more HP but the transmission is very smooth and it gets to speed fast. The ability to go to Tarmac mode helps….stops and turns just fine for a $40k large SUV Interior is where it really shines- dash is best by far vs so many cluttered techno designs. This alone is a reason to buy it. Issues - hood does move but a fix is on way. Ride can be jarring at times maybe tires ? But overall this vehicle is so amazing for the $$ and it stands out In crowd of boring
