Used 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SUV Consumer Reviews
2014 Outlander Sport - Lemon
I purchased a used 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in January 2017 with approximately 38,000 miles on it. In May 2018 (less than a year and half after purchase) the alternator went out of this vehicle and left me stranded for hours and hours, finally got it towed to the garage and thankful it was covered under warranty. Now here I am in June 2020 (2 years from the last incident) and the Transmission has gone out of the car with just over 100,000 miles on it, so it's no longer covered under warranty....of course. Oh and you can't get a rebuilt transmission so your only option is a new one at the tune of about $9,000 or a used one, good luck finding that. Guess everyone is having this issue. Currently I'm looking at over $4,500 out of pocket if I want to repair this vehicle. So I would be very skeptical of reviews that state this car should last 200,000 miles or more. I will NEVER buy another Mitsubishi

Gift for my wife
Bought this vehicle as a gift for my wife. She fell in love with the color. I’d have to say overall I’m impressed with the performance of this suv.

Perfect Size!
Being in the auto industry for 31 years, I have purchased many of these Mitsubishi products at Manheim Auctions and have been very satisfied with their appearance as well as the durability. We were looking for the higher end SE Model which had features we were looking for and this particular one was ten years old with 23K miles which was a great fit for us. UPDATE: My daughter had one of these for 6 years and loved it only replacing because her husbands job took them to Colorado which pretty much dictates a 4x4 or AWD instead of the FWD that she had. I was in need of a 2nd car and happened to find a one owner 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE at a local dealer with 23,000 miles that was in pristine original condition. It runs and drives like new and these vehicles have a great reputation for longevity so I'll keep this for 10 or so years with little concern for repairs as the Japanese quality shows. The SE even had a factory 705 Watt sound system, a power seat and other great features not generally associated with this price range of a vehicle. Would recommend!
