Used 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage Sedan Consumer Reviews
Gas saving fun
I just recently purchased my Mirage in 2010. I was slightly concerned buying a car that was 11 years old, but it honestly was all I could afford. I absolutely love my car now! I get about 32 mpg, and have to fill up the tank every two weeks! With the small gas tank that means about $25 every two weeks for gas! The only thing I miss is cup holders! mine is kind of a stripped down model which is good because I prefer window cranks but it's almost impossible to take a beverage on the go!
Great reliable basic transportation
Purchased the car 3 years ago with 53,000 miles on it. I now have 110,000 miles on the odometer, the car has been trouble free and is very economical and reliable. Other than regular oil changes and scheduled maintenance it has not cost a cent!!

A Fine Little Car
Travelled across country, felt very comfortable. Great gas mileage. Average repair record. A delight to drive.
Do not buy!!!!
This car is terrible! I only owned it for a year before it started falling apart. The paint faded at about 50k and the car struggles going up hills. The brakes constantly had to be repaired.
Everyone should have one.
I purchased this vehicle as a restored/salvage car. It had 19,000 miles and now has 56,000 with no problems in between. I've had the brakes adjusted once and that's it!!! I've maintained it well and never skimped on oil changes and other scheduled maintainance. Gas milage is great at 40 mpg on the highway. The quality isn't quite that of a Honda or Toyota but then again neither is the cost, and it looks better. I would buy another Mirage without a second thought.
