Mitsubishi Rules
I bought my 1995 Mitsubishi Diamante at auction with 122,000 miles on it. I drove it untill 137,000 miles. It was an excellent car. I regret the day that I traded comfort for fuel eficiency. The Diamante was fun to drive, fast, and never had any problems. It did brake a lug nut when the Les Schwab guys replaced its front tires. I drove it with overdive on since it would not shift gears if overdrive was off. It would go 210 miles per tank. I drove it for a 1.5 years like that.
Awesome car
I LOVE THIS CAR! It has all the amenities of a luxury car. I am thinking about buying another one for my brother or just to have two (THEY ARE REALLY CHEAP IF OLDER THAN 1995!). Rumor has it the Diamante will be discontinued in a couple of years unfortunately. While I love the car and view it as VERY RELIABLE, I have had a few problems: REPLACED: Water Pump ($700) CV Shaft ($180) Alternator(rebuilt on ebay $175, putting it in myself). AC compressor squeals like hell, haven't fixed yet ($???). BROKE OFF FOUR OR FIVE LUG BOLTS CHANGING TIRES, (don't know why).
the best kept secret
this car is a joy to drive, and sexy as hell.
'95 Diamante ES
It has a strong reliable engine. It is the perfect car to just drive around with no real destination. It's the most affordable top of the line luxury sedan. It was used as a rental car due to it's reliability and comfort.
