Great Car
Owned this car for 2 years. Excellent buy for the money. Considering replacing with a 2002 LS.
JP's 1992 diamante review
This vehicle posed no significant problems during the first three and one half years of ownership. Then some problems started. The front brakes needed new pads too often. There was a major electrical short somewhere that mystified even the best auto electric mechanics. Yhis caused a total shut off of the car on the highway and two weeks to get it running again. finally, in the last two years, embarasing blue exaust smoke when engine was hot and car was in heavy traffic. Overall, I was dissapointed with the car in the last two years of ownership. Car now out of service (7/02), awaiting a buyer.
Will never buy another Mitsubishi Auto
Inferior or undersized rotors. Continually warped. Mfg forces you to buy Mitsubishi replacement. Auto burned oil from the beginning.. said to be normal. Orig. burned 1 qt every 1500 miles, now burns 1 qt every 400. Not very good car!
great luxury for less
great car for the value, recent model 1997 and up are built with less feature and became more generic, I realy like the early design
Electrical/transmission/oil problems.
Has had multiple electrical problems, transmission problems and had to get the valve seals redone because it smoked.
