With few minor modification under the hood, high performance tires & shocks this car will leave others eat the dust. Winter tires for snow & the snow plow follows my tracks. With ECM(Computer) from sister Crown Vic.(Police Interceptor) you won't believe increase in performance. A true monster

I've had only one problem with my Mercury since 1999. I replaced the Idel control motor. A $89 part that took longer to drive accross town and pick up than to replace. It is the ideal family car. 27 miles to the gallon on the highway! More trunk space that you can imagine. Once you own one you will never buy a tin can again. I have replace the tires a little early on the wifes request. Outstanding car.

The Marquis is a large, safe car that has plenty of power and handles nicely. This is my second one and I will probably trade for a third.

Overall a roomy comfortable car. Mostly older men buy them, but good for young, big guys too. Lower lumbar support and power seats were great. Smooth ride

Even though it only had 50,000 miles it seemed to use oil. At least a couple of quarts per 3,000 miles. But no smoke. Go figure. Auto climate control also had problems. Rode worse than previous Grand Marquis even through I had new original equipment shocks installed
