Used 2006 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Consumer Reviews
Misses out on 10 years
Picked up my 600 in 2015 and has never failed to rise to my expectations. Not out looking for competition, but some knuckleheads with other European makes that think there is an opportunity to press V12 juice, they sure are sorely mistaken. Have dropped 17K into system related issues, but nothing with my baby V12. I do indulge this Master Blaster of a powerplant with no Ethanol gas available in Texas. Also gotta make sure your sweetness is garage housed. Despite ancillary cost of non engine related expenses, having a NASA rocket on four wheels should blow any car buff’s skirt or shorts up, absolutely no disappointment here.

Sweet
This is a sweet drive. It is definitely a drifter. Hitting the pedal while turning will cause fishtailing as it it too powerful. Sometimes it feels like driving a bar of butter on a hot-plate. .. Backend is unruly until traction control kicks in (a second or 2). Otherwise, awsome car.

Worth Keeping A real Sleeper
Once you drive this on the open road, you will want to keep it. The engine in this car is fantastic! Only modification made was a smaller pulley. Wish it had an upgraded radio system and backup camera. This car is a sleeper - Who would think a convertible would go 130 mph?

Benz SL 500
A very heavy German car. What is not to like about that?
