Quite Impressed!

I own a '25 GLC350e PHEV. After 6 months of ownership, I could not be happier with it! We plug in virtually every day at home and/or work and much of that is free. The car performs well in day to day usage. Only 1 tank of gas in over 4500 miles of driving. I believe we're averaging 84 MPGe. MB says 54 mile range, but the battery capacity shows 75 miles of battery range after each full EV charge, and that's been consistent. Vehicle is composed, quiet and handles reasonably well at the end of any given day. My belief is that the hybrid system is a wonderful compromise and very effective for us. We charge at home at both Level 1 and Level 2, and have used the DCFC capability as well, and that is especially impressive to utilize. Only short coming for us is the reduced rear cargo capacity because of the battery location. That being said however, it is still far more capable than sedans or hatchbacks and can be overcome with options in the marketplace. I will repeat this again: only 1 tank of gas used in over 4500 miles of driving in our situation i.e., with daily recharging!! At night after work, in the garage over night (or less time than that) based on usage. Could not be any easier.

I could cry, I hate this car.

I loved my 2018 GLC300, everything about it was perfect, the thigh support, it was quiet, it had pep. I loved it so much I decided to upgrade to the 2025 so that I could have more safety features. IT IS HORRIBLE! The constant "camera clicking" is dangerous, it is very loud and it is very distracting. My 2018 back up camera did not make a sound. Then there is the "hybrid", meaning a battery in the back, when the car idols it starts making a horrible sound and vibration through out the entire vehicle. ALL of this is dangerous as it is so distracting trying to figure out if the car has a serious problem or not while driving. If there is a "turbo" in this model it is no where near as good as the 2018. It feels like a cheap four cylinder. The non stop clicking and grinding was so noticeable that my friend commented "Is that your car? What is wrong with it? I couldn't stand that". Then there is "my Mercedes", you can't have a conversation in the car without her listening andresponding EVEN THOUGH I SET IT UP TO SAY "HEY MERCEDES" in order for her to respond. She has blacked out my screen with directions sending me to God knows where and made me miss my exit as she deleted what I had running on the screen. Again dangerous trying to drive on a highway and fix what she did! She still is listening to everything we say-even though she is supposed to be off until I say "Hey Mercedes"-very, very creepy and dangerous! The thigh support-horrible compared to the 2018. It has the worst "off gassing" of any car I have ever owned. I really do hate this car!

GLC300 features Update 6/24/2025

Update 6/24/2025 Dealer was able to diagnosis the problem. A grounding issue was repaired and parts in the MBUX System were replaced and the MBUX System was updated. Repair took 2 days. On 6/19/2025 Dealership contacted me to bring the car in for a recall. Purchased car new in March 2025, car now has 2365miles. MBUX System randomly changes display on Main Display also more frequently changes display settings on Drivers display. Most days it likes me and gives a welcome greeting other days it does not and says nothing. Rear hatch would only close 6 inches at a time after 5 tries I was able to manually latch it. Next time it opened it worked without issue. Two days later entire MBUX System dies. Dealer could not get it to work and has to open a case with MB to find out how to fix the system, Service person advises that it may take 3+ weeks to resolve, meantime I am in a loaner car. I am very concerned that there may be an electrical issue with the car that will never be completely resolved.

Things I don’t like about my GLC 43 one ,I am disappointed of the rearview camera when you back up it only show partial of the space that back up. It doesn’t show the whole full screen in the back for the back and two when you start your car from a Stop to start. It has like a jolt like somebody is holding your car down and then all of the sudden it kicks you in the butt I don’t like that feeling other than that I can say performance is pretty good. I took it up in the mountain and , a lot of curves tight curves smooth curves with 55,65 m/h It handles amazing . Comfort for me being 5 foot five woman it’s pleasant. I love it. I don’t have anything to complain about that ,cargo space for the back. I don’t carry that much cargo, but whatever I need is good space , backseats again I think is reasonable Space .my husband he’s a big guy. He’s 6 foot three 260 pounds so he thinks it’s too tight for him .overall I like the car I don’t have any other complaints. so I’m giving a 8 out of 10
