I bought my CPO 2015 Mercedes Benz E350 Sport last week, but in that time have already driven over 2,000 miles in a mixture of fast highways, quiet suburban roads and gridlocked city streets. This car is smooth, quiet, powerful, and most important, COMFORTABLE. The seats are perhaps the best of any car I've ever driven, and I've driven many. This is my first. E class, but I've had five C class cars before and this is a real step up in terms of comfort and serenity, with only a slight step down in sportiness. So far I'm very impressed. Update1/14/19 I’ve now owned the car for about a year and a half and have added over 50,000 miles to its odometer. Everything initially mentioned remains true. This car is extremely comfortable, fast, smooth, quiet and RELIABLE. Other than routine maintenance its needed absolutely nothing. This is the best car I’ve ever owned.

One of the best mb on the market

The car is amazing drives nicely ;built for the autobahn) handles nice through the mountains, and mostly comfortable. The front seats are hard for the first 5000 miles but then become softer. At slow speed of up to about 15-20 mph the steering is super light but then has more resistance. The brakes are good for 15000 miles but then really start to suck big time. If I bought this car I would put some better after market brakes. Also get the optional led headlights they are amazing. The rear seats are amazing they are very comfortable and you have tons of knee and head room. The 3.5 liter is a good engine but not great, over 3000 rpm it's rough and we have already had a coolant leak with the car but maybe they just had a problem making ours. The Engine though still makes a good sound for a v6. Also after left in sun for a few hours everything creeks in the car for a good twenty minutes. The mpg is good but could be improved. The car does have a lot of small hidden compartments and a trunk bigger than the others. But you won't be disappointed for the most part. The car is very relaxing, and fun to drive. Better than its competitors.

30 Month, 53000 mile accolades

I have had several e classes and this is my third diesel; had a 98 E300 and an R320. There have been no unscheduled pit stops and it has remained tight, quiet, and returning terrific MPGs. On open road to San Diego, with V1 protection so high cruising speeds, I had 39.9 MPG. Overall mileage when averaging 30-40 mph over 12K miles, it is returning a steady 36.2 - 35.1. It is a great basic car, the right size for everything. I have had 2 S-Classes, and the size got me, a 2012 550CL which let me go way too fast way too easy and the long hood was a pain in a parking garage, always concerned I was going to see a wide-eyed pedestrian hoping on that hood as I leveled off. Note that it is a diesel and it takes a moment to spool up from a dead stop but has adequate go and I have never downshifted for any mountain driving, a nice feeling. But, above 70 you have to let the torque take care of passing tasks, at that speed and above there is not enough horsepower to downshift and put you back in the seat. I have 7K more miles on my lease and thing it may be time for a cabriolet!

Best all-around vehicle for the price in my opinion, although cost of ownership and depreciation is a little rough for my model. I have the E63 AMG S-model and find it extremely rare that I can even take full advantage of the power.

Updated Jul 2023. I'll be keeping this beauty for a good long time. Trouble free and a pleasure to drive. Now nearing 70,000 miles. Updated Jan 2023. I still love and highly recommend the E-Class. I replaced the front axle seals with a little warrantee help from my favorite MB dealership. Otherwise the car is trouble-free and a genuine pleasure to own. Updated Jan 2021. Still loving the car. I have had no out of pocket service costs except normal maintenance. The E-Class is running and looking fabulous at 57k miles. When I say high performance I mean acceleration, handling, road holding, braking. Oh did I mention the car also gets 23 mpg in combined driving!? On the highway the sleek aero helps return 30 mpg. If you want the latest infotainment, you’ll need to step into a C class of the same year (2105) or a little newer E. Back seat is tight but the kids don’t mind too much. Update for 2020. Car is aging well, I cannot think of another Benz I would it trade for. I replaced the rear shocks at about 50,000 miles following some unusual rear tire wear, for which dealer shared the cost. No problems otherwise, just maintenance.

Bought our 2015 E550 convertible four months ago with only 23K miles on it for literally 1/2 of MRSP. Remarkable automobile that coddles you in comfort while exciting you with its performance. Twin-turbo V8 has unadvertised “giggle factor.”’everyone we take for a ride giggles when we hit the gas. Extremely comfortable car that raps around you like a favorite blanket. Switch from Comfort to Sport mode and the car subtly changes its personality to one that looks for twisted to challenge both car and driver. Receive many unsolicited compliments on styling. Power is understated. In a word...classy. Also, wife picked the car. She thought E350 was underpowered by comparison. No problems with car whatsoever.

This is the quietest convertible I have owned (2 prior Mustangs)! The "screen deflectors" on roof and back seat area really help minimize unwanted air that minimizes need to pull my long hair into a ponytail! The convertible rag top is finished with extra insulation and with matching interior color (tan) with my sharp navy blue exterior. No mechanical or electrical issues in 2+ years I've owned my formerly leased car. The paddle shifters add a fun, sporty flair to my responsive, pretty fast car. Spacious inside and can fit a full set of golf clubs/bag in trunk even with the top retracted into the trunk.

Lots of dealers still have 2015-2016 W212s for sale. Get a warranty if possible, and do preventive maintenance. Car is very very solid, and very well built. Not only that, the car is incredibly comfortable. Back seat space is not massive, yet still plentiful. Bought this car new as a leftover 2015 from a dealer. The M276 V6 motor is great, and the car is overall good in performance. Technology isn't prefect, and takes a while to get used to. Reliability of this vehicle isn't for sure knowable, as it only has 20000 miles. So far the dealer experience has bent great, and the car never goes in for unexpected repairs. This car is perfect for somebody who drives a lot and wants something comfortable and safe. MPG is okay for a car weighing in at 5300 lbs. Overall, best car I've ever owned, topping Lexus, BMW, Lincoln, and other Mercedes products. E Class is the way to go! UPDATE: Car is still great, and solid as ever. Fit and finish up to par. Maintenance is expedience, but no issues at 55,000 miles.

E400 coupe 2015

2015 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 400 2dr Coupe (3.0L 6cyl Turbo 7A)
7 of 8 people found this review helpful

Bought my coupe certified preowned, right out of lease. After the initial small issues all timely fixed at the local dealership I have put about 18k mixed local and weekend commute about 220 miles one way. Excellent fuel economy on hwy 32 mpg and combined 28. I do commute mostly alone so a coupe felt fine as a second car. Seats are firm and comfortable on long rides. My wife had hard time in the passenger seat on the occasional commute, my daughter hated the back seats due to lack of center arm rest. Service has been a bummer for 500 dollars however. Caution while driving through small rural areas as you become a target. I would have never payed the new car price but half that for a less then 20 k seemed to be a great deal. Vented seats could be more powerful and there is limited storage space (max two small bottles of water) but you get used to that. Overall beautiful car with excellent performance. Highly recommended if you are single.

E400 - Joy to ride!

2015 E400 Coupe. Love the car, great quality inside and out. Love the handling, hitting corners is fun! Everyone is surprised at how spacious the rear seats are for a coupe. Definitely an eye catcher. I do wish the car was a bit larger as this is the E-Class. The infotainment system isn't very user friendly and is outdated. I do love the car though, gave it 4/5 do to its size. The 2018 e400 corrected that issue.

I bought a used 2012 e350 diesel last year and loved it. Luxury model. 90 days later, a drunk driver totaled it. Imshould have died, but the solidness of the car saved me. I used the insurance, payoff to upgrade to a 2015 e250 sport. Oh my, the class, the ride, the drive! Best car i have ever owned. My wife bugs me to let her drive it to work every day, and she has refused to drive cars for 20 years, preferring high rid8ng SUVs exclusively. On my first long distance trip, i got 47, yes fourty SEVEN mpg!!! I drove 850 miles on 18 gallons of fuel. Had three gallon left in the tank. With just me and a small bag in the car, i daresay i could drive across the country on three tanks of fuel. In Mercedes luxury. In july i drove it to Disneyworld with two adults, two teens in the back, a lapdog and the trunk loaded down with luggage. Still got 43 mpg on I-75 from Chattanooga to Orlando. Amazing. Love this car.

The 2015 E400 has a NEW Twin-Turbo V6, and I it's an excellent combination of great power and surprising economy! I regularly see 34-36 mpg on the highway at 70mph. This is not my first E-class, so I'm accustomed to the luxury, safety and style... This is the first time I can also add "economical" to my list of attributes, and with ZERO power compromise! I bought this as a CPO, and I've already put 32,000 miles on it -- No regrets!

Mercedes has done it again! Just took delivery on my new 2015 E350 4Matic Sport Wagon! This is my 4th wagon and it just keeps getting better. When I am driving this baby I am in control. She gives me sport yet luxury. I cannot say enough about this vehicle except I am happy that I am one of the lucky ones who gets to drive such an amazing wagon. The dealership, Mercedes Benz of Orlando, my go to dealer helped put me into this special driving machine. I have been a customer for over 30 years and they have always treated me well. So, if you are in the market for understated elegance with many options and want your lady to feel special and your children to feel extremely safe, go out and purchase this vehicle. You will be glad that you did.

I purchased this car new in Stuttgart, Germany and have been very happy with it. So far, I have had no problems with it and it handles very well in heavy snow where I live at 9,000 feet in the ski areas of Colorado. I make frequent trips from here to Denver and it handles well on I-70 during heavy snow as well as on dry roads. I am happy that it has the 6 cylinder engine instead of the newer 4 that is now offered.

I LOVE my 2015 E250 Sport

I bought my 2015 E250 Sport with bluetec for a great price at $45,000(that is after registration). These are the sepcs of the car. Diesel inline 4 cylinder, 196 HP 369 ft-lbs. @ 1600 rpm 28/40 MPG combined 34. I know Edmunds has it listed at 27/38 but that is incorrect. I am in love with this car and I am happy I purchased it. It has more than enough power and I love the fact that it is a gas saver. These cars are very popular in Europe, because they are efficient. I am also a German American 6f 1 and I have plenty of room. The performance is also excellent, you must understand you are not buying a Porsche. I would recommend this model to anyone but I would get it pre owned because new these cars are over 60K.

MERCEDES E 400 SPORT SEDAN: PURE PERFECTION!!!

I just bought my 9th E Class Sedan on December 12th, 2014 - a 2015 E 400 Sedan. Like all E Class Sedans I've owned and driven, it's a pleasure to drive, however the new Twin-Turbo V-6 Engine is a true performer (329 hp 354 lb ft torque). After driving the new E 400 for 5 weeks now, I'm getting 31.8 mpg highway and 20 mpg city with a combined average of 24.2 mpg. Power, performance and superb handling are not sacrificed at all with the new high mpg power plant. This is the best automobile I have ever driven! Standard Features are abundant and I ordered the car with every available option. The car handles so beautifully. I recommend ordering the 19" optional wheels - better handling!

I have always been far more impressed with glowing reviews 5 years into ownership rather than reviews written the first month the car was taken home from the dealer. this has been a fantastic car, very reliable, it was quality, and I still love it everytime I see it. The wife has a 2014 ML350 with almost 100k on the odometer, and it has been by far the most reliable car we have owned. I have noticed that the MB Infotainment system has started to develop glitches and strange behaviors, but I don't think that would make me knock it down a star, simply because the vehicle is such a pleasure to drive and own. I would definitely buy another e400 coupe without a moment's hesitation.

My last diesel

Purchased as a CPO in 10/2018 - I had recently lost a 2007 Bluetec with 200k miles when the trans vomited itself on the expressway off ramp fortunately a mile from home and MB dealer that gave me bad news re repair cost (appx $6700). Since that was more than street value for the car I sold it for what I could get. Fast forward to missing my oil burner diesel. This car is comfortable, impeccably well built, drives confidently in all conditions, and performs with aplomb. It now has approximately 118,000 miles, with a recent national road of about 8k miles covering elevations from sea level to 11,000 feet garnering overall fuel economy of just under 44 mpg with highway cruising at 75-80 mph performed at about 1800 rpm just a breeze. Car averaged an astounding 49.5 mpg on an over 1000 mile segment from western MT to SW Wisconsin - a heroic tailwind and no traffic issues helped while driving at a consistent 70 mph on primarily two lane blacktop in the Dakotas and Minnesota..The negative is the Bluetec system which turns what ought to be a simple diesle into a complex mechanism that requires adding 2.5 gallons of Diesel Exhaust Fluid at each oil change; MB conducted a major recall that essentially "bulletproofed" the system at no charge for what I was told was about a $2k upgrade. I also received as a result of a class action suit a check for $3800 for any issues that may accrue as the result of owning this otherwise great car. I change the oil every 5 k, usually myself as it is a piece of cake with a front and top mounted filter, and am on top of fuel and air filters every 30 K and any other scheduled preventive maintenance that in many cases can be easily performed by a semi-handy owner. Since MB no longer brings in an auto diesel due to the draconian emission requirements, this is the last of the breed. You'll see me cruising quickly, cleanly and quietly by on some byway of North America for many years all whilst getting 40+++mpg of diesel.

Fast, comfortable, reliable and good looking - not much else to say. Bought a low mileage example (less than 7k) as a certified pre owned and six years later (and 100k miles later) it’s going strong as a daily commuter car. Keeps up with everything on the highway and is pretty frugal on gas. Very happy!

It's a little higher off the ground than the sport and easier to get in and out. It has plenty of power to merge with traffic and the blind spot warning dings if you signal and someone's there.
