Timeless...

I love this car and so glad I did not traded in. I have changed cars every 3 years and this is the first car that I keep for almost 7 years now. Powerful, comfortable and surprisingly it gets almost 30 miles per gallon on the freeway and 17 to 19 in town for a V8 it is unheard of.

Pleasing to the Max

The styling is eye catching and timeless. I owned a 1995 E320 Cabrio which had the best all around ride of any car I have ever owned - in my opinion - I loved it. But the 2013 has more sport in it's DNA than the 1995 and I really like it. It corners like it is on rails but retains its stately personality. Take it on a curvy road in sport mode and it becomes roadster-like with paddle shifters for the bold and brave but still retaining its stately personality. You will want to go full top down, windows down all the time but if it's chilly, the air cap, the heated seats and the heat on the neck from the headrest make the chill completely bearable. My old 1995 had a straight 6 making 217hp that would push you right into the back of your seat. But let this E350 V6 making 302hp off the chain and it is almost breathtaking with torque to spare. The body works are as rigid as a sedan with no noticeable cowl shake. I wish they would get rid of the pedal parking brake but it's not a big problem. The interior is European, practical and uncluttered. The "command switch" takes some getting used to but you will love that too. Storage is minimal but hey, it's a convertible. You don't get one of these to go big grocery shopping. Slow down and drive the boulevards in eco mode and you have a well behaved ride that exudes confidence, precision and a large measure of luxury cache. With the multi-layer insulated top up you might just as well be in a coupe because it's just that quiet. If you don't love it, then it's just not the car for you.

Any repair is very expensive as car is 10 years old. The body is in good shape.

It's true - a great car buying experience!

After several really unpleasant car buying/leasing experiences we had no faith that shopping for a car could be anything but a miserable time. The TV ads from the vending machine car companies hit real nerves when they point out that car buying is not even close to fun or easy. We decided to give Herb Chambers a go and see if the HC ads had any truth in them. Thanks to Jonathan and his coworkers we had a very positive experience. So, the message "we don't sell cars, we help people buy them" rings true for our experience and hope that our next car buying will be as good as this one. We've even become converts to the Mercedes brand!

Mine. RWD. This vehicle handles like it's on rails when negotiating turns. Very good brakes. Engine a bit noisy under full throttle. Great profile. Info/dash system very appealing.
