C300 2015

Nice job on the 2015, Mercedes. Wow. Nice interior, nice drive.. dont under estimate that 4 cylinder. I have always owned 6 cylinder cars but with this in Sports+... I don't miss my V6 at all... well except for the V6 sound. Other than that.. this is a fun and luxurious daily drive that would make rush hour traffic feel less exhausting.

..the title was ripped from a professional review, but it pretty much sums it up. I'm a "No replacement for displacement" kind of guy, but this C63 combines the best of both worlds.

Wonderful Car Last of the 6 cylinder

Went a few hundred miles to fetch this car as a certified used car in 2019. With only 14,000 miles it was like new, and half price over new. And as compared to new C’s it had a 6, instead of new with a 4 banger. Wonderful electronics and back up camera. Very quick for Texas Highways, and gets 27mph in economy mode. 2 issues: I don’t like run flat tires and have replaced them and bought a spare, also the facia is low and has expensive chrome pieces very low which is easily damaged, no remedy except avoiding curbs and debris on the road. Still my wonderful daily driver, And even as a 2015 it has little advantages over our 2021 Lexus. The seat controls are on the door and easily assemble. When your car is unlocked you can open the fuel filler door without looking for the button on the dash to open it. Lastly the back up camera is very good as is the Burrmeister sound system. And accessing features is intuitive and much easier. With just under 50,000 miles I’ve had no repairs or replacements. Oil changes, filters and tires the only expenses. Lastly the twin turbo six is very fast. Another complaint I can’t get a trailer hitch for this particular C class. Still driving and should have mentioned as a pro, the 4 Matic all wheel drive is superior to other cars I own or have owed. With a snowy hilly driveway in Minnesota, other all wheel vehicles watched as I went up and down with no trouble. Still love it 3 year later and 65000 miles on it

Ok so I’ve had my 2015 c300 4matic sport model with about everything minus air ride suspension for about 3 years now I bought it used with 17000 miles in late 2017 and it’s a great car great acceleration handles better than any car I’ve driven leaves more to be desired in power but it’s got enough to get it going pretty quickly. Now that being said it has been serviced around 6 times totaling 15000+ in repairs luckily I was smart and extended the original warranty and purchased the unlimited mile cpo until 2022 first off the cv axles started ticking on turns took it in they said it wasn’t that that it was either the steering box or steering column (idiots) and they needed to replace the whole thing because it was unsafe I agreed and they put me in a loaner e class which was great but when I got my car back it was still clicking as I turned took it back and finally they replaced the cv axles ok so I finally have my car back great now they tell me my battery is old this is in 2018 I was like no I just bought this car so they replaced it the battery is 300 dollars + so I was happy then about 4 months later the panoramic sun roof got stuck open (literally never use the thing) I drove it to Mercedes they said they had no openings and couldn’t see my car I was more than annoyed I figured out it was one of the arms got stuck so I got my nephew to press the close button as I hit the arm with my iPhone in the Mercedes dealership and got it to close took it back (had to make an appointment) and they said the whole assembly was bent I need a new one but I have the warranty so it’s covered great... car had been great up until recently the car was angry didint want to accelerate and seemed like I toasted the transmission as 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts were very rough when asking for power sometimes I took it in they said they couldn’t replicate it and no codes came up in the computer so they gave me my car back I kid you not hours after the car did it again and put itself in limp mode so now I’m stuck under 2000 rpm’s driving home so I recorded it because I wasn’t about to take it back without proof so I took it back the next day they saw the video and had to send it to Mercedes because they could not find the issue eventually after the technician driving my car frequently as I told them they could drive it as much as they wanted till they found the issue a week passed oh and this time they had no loaners for me (I’m in a rental so I’m not very happy) then they call and say they found the issue it’s the camshaft sensor I’m like great replace it so I can get my car after two days I got my car back and the issue has subsided and the car seems to be running very solid shifts are much smoother even then when I bought it so this might be a flaw in the 2015 OEM sensors I even get better gas mileage I was averaging 21 now I get 30 mpg so I’m pretty happy with the car again but and this is a big but... IF I hadn’t bought the CPO this car would have been a money pit I did not mention all the services because some were cosmetic things such as the aluminum veneer bubbles if you live in hot climates (they replaced SOME of it) the plastic in the interior of the car is horrible and will break I’m talking about the plastic hinges that open the arm rest in the center (mine does not open anymore) and the headlight was replaced but I do not include this because it was prior to purchase it seems the headlights were off center causing limited visibility (basically make your car look cross eyed it looks pretty funny) All in all I love the car it’s a beautiful car for what I paid and even though it’s been serviced so many times it has not been on my dime so I don’t feel that bad but I push this car pretty hard everyday and it’s reliable to a point if you don’t mind the occasional stint in the shop I do change the oil every 7000 miles I’ve replaced all 4 tires recently (breaks are still good can’t believe it) and currently have around 51000 miles on the car so that can give you a picture of the regular maintenance I’ve also taken the car on a long trip and I was amazed at the gas mileage put it in cruise control and this thing runs forever I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING ONE OUTSIDE OF A CPO UNLESS YOU BABY THE CAR PS - I drive my car with a lead foot so I should know the limits of this motor and it’s tough trans is good but it’s a 5 year old car it shouldn’t have these problems if your looking for a reliable car get a Honda or Toyota if you want luxury I would say get a Merc (not Amg) definitely don’t get a BMW if you don’t like maintenance and don’t get me started on Audi lease the Audi lease the Audi please do yourself a favor

All the Bells & Whistles

This car seems to have everything but, it's also somewhat intimidating. I've had a love affair with automobiles since my preteen years. I'm now almost 70 and I've owned many. Driving and controlling a vehicle has always been intuitive but, this one is complex enough and sometimes redundant that I have to think about it. I might be getting too old. Still, I'm impressed
