Granny ditches the Lexus.

A little background -I'm 76. Kids told me to ditch my 2006 Lexus 330. They told me, however, that they wanted me not to run back to Lexus to replace. They wanted me to "blow their inheritance" on myself. Well you can imagine that really opened up a LOT of options. After a long two days of looking I ended up buying the 2015 MB C300. It just checked all of the important things for me, ride, handling, safety, technology and looks. The price was a bonus. It cost me under $50K. I could easily afford well over that no problem and pay cash. But why? This car has everything I need. Why spend more? I want to have fun while in my car and so should you!

Do not have a CPO warranty problem!

Our 1st Mercedes! Wow! Purchased June 16, 2018. A CPO Mercedes, 2015, C300! Maintained all requirements in order to keep our CPO warranty intact...which is valid through April 2022. During the month of February (this year) we noticed a noise emanating from the right front of our Mercedes...an abrading noise...that seemed to coincide with wheel speed. We made a service appointment with Crown Eurocars (Pinellas Park, FL) delivered our vehicle, obtained a "loaner", and asked Crown to advise us when they determined the cause of the noise. In a day we received input from Crown advising us that the CV boot was torn and leaking grease and may have caused other problems. We were also advised that once the technician had checked more closely we would be notified of the cost to be or not to be absorbed by our CPO warranty. At this point we had no doubt that the warranty would cover the cost of the repair. After all, we had all services up to date, the repair was drive related, etc. What could go wrong! The same day we were notified that the repair would not be covered by our warranty because Crown told us..."that's what Mercedes said, it's not covered". As well the repair would involve the replacement of the right front drive shaft! We contacted MBUSA and received emails advising us to discuss the problem (lack of warranty coverage) with the service manager. My wife discussed this with the service manager in person...his response was "well it just isn't covered but I'll try to find out more info for you and I'll let you know". That was two months ago, still no response! At this point we told Crown to proceed with the repair while the discussions continued. Cost? $1,657! To this day we have not been told why the $1,657 was not absorbed by our CPO warranty. The service writer told us "...it may be because Mercedes doesn't cover wear items and the CV boot is rubber so it wears". A Mercedes Benz with 60,000 should be expected to need new CV boots? Really? Further we were told that the replacement of the right front drive shaft was required because it was probably damaged due to the torn CV boot. We have since been told that MB experienced some difficulty with "clicking noises" from the drive rods and a redesign was designated in some instances. We will close by stating that we have also contacted a VP of MBUSA via the United States Postal Service and have received no response! An EXECUTIVE REFERRAL MANAGER has contacted us by email stating NOTHING other that we should call him. We have made phone contact on fourteen (14) occasions and still no response. So to potential buyers of new Mercedes and CPO Mercedes we say: 1) Read this review again 2) Take your warranty and use it for home and domestics urgent use! Last statement; I am not a genius, but I had worked in manufacturing for 40 years and am not a stranger to machining and materials.

I have had nothing but issues from the moment I leased this car. I can start with it almost locking my 2 year old daughter inside the car, mind you it was in the summer where it reaches 95 degrees on an average day here in south Florida. It locked up on its own with the keys inside sitting in the front seat along with my purse, cell phone and house keys, I was just about to place my daughter in her carseat when this happened. Mercedes charged me $150 on the spot to get it open. It had "malfunctioned" they told me. The gas cap door gets stuck not allowing you to open it to put gas in. I had to drive to the dealership with no gas to get them to open it. The sensors on the cars are faulty and will go off with noone else in the road, they said "yea that's a thing they do." Forget about brining a large item home in the trunk, the car will not drive with the trunk tied open, nor will it drive if the door is not closed all the way, but will allow my 2 year old to open the car door from the inside while driving!!! There are no safety features to notify you of a car in a lane next to you and it has plenty of blindspots. There are many days when the car would brake on it's own stopping short in traffic and me almost getting rear ended on several occasions. It is currently in the shop now because the cylinder in the engine has gone bad, and will need to replace the engine. The car hasn't even reached it's second birthday. They are telling me that it is due to "bad gas" from the gas station and I will have to go through my insurance and sue the gas station, because it is not covered under the warranty. The list goes on and on, but I would highly recommend not leasing or purchasing this car. I am so thankful that it is just a lease and I am out of the nightmare in a year.

I own a c 400 and over the last 18 months , I have had to replace 8 tires, 2 rims, and the front axles. Thank god for the tire warranty. I think they’re made of jello. It’s complete ridiculous. I’ve tried to get them to give me. A different brand but they won’t. I’m really inconvenient to have to go to the service constantly, but at least I’ve always got brand new tires. Wtf? I assume it’s because it so heavy???................2 & 1/2 yrs in and I’ve had 14 count em, 14 flat tires. Yay!!! Don’t let them put continental tires on.
