Still Love it
This car is still a blast to drive. The fuel economy is good for the power available, but it depends on how you drive it. When you want the performance it is there, when you don't it is a fuel sipping V6. I considered getting a new car, but why, this car is still amazing. Every time I hit the gas from a stop a smile comes over my face. I had a couple of minor electrical issues that occurred just before the car was out of warranty (6 disk cd changer stopped working, drivers heated seat didn't heat, and the visor vanity mirror light would come on when the visor was lowered because the mirror cover would open slightly). The dealer took care of them and The car has been very reliable since.
Great Car!
Wolf is sheeps clothing is how I would describe this car. Interior and gas mileage are the only non-perfect things on this car. Interior needs in -dash CD player some of the controls are overly complicated with no apperent reason but the interior is still very nice compared to Acura or BMW. Gas mileage is just a result of being able to go as fast as most Corvettes and the goverened top speed is easily attained. If you have a family and want to have the ultimate car experience and can't afford a Merecedes Benz CLS AMG then this is your car.

Rocket !!
style + quality + performance + power + speed + agility + 4 doors + 5 speed manumatic = Perfect (MB C32 AMG)
Perfection
Just got my 2003 C32. Handling is unbelievable - sticks like a magnet. Perfect balance of ride and comfort, not as harsh as M3. Understated elegance - looks intimidating but not obnoxiously so. Seats are great. Engine is awesome - sub 5 second 0-60 (haven't pushed it yet, still breaking it in). Problem is, I'm definitely spoiled.
c32 AMG
OUtstanding performance. Best 4 door performance sedan on the market. Very unique car.

well this benz is great when i go into the belin turnpike heads turn and the noise coming out of the exhaust sounds marvolous it truley is a great car i drive it evey day and it has 9450 mles still i cant belive it has great milage i give it 2 thumbs up and the rims wows the only thing to say i even name my screen name after it cant stop saying how great this car is the body kit makes your c32 stand out from the other c's i put it next to a c320 and it looks so differnt and when you press the gas the car wants to move if you truley want a mercedes benz get a amg versoin more importantly a c32 amg with 349 horsepower your head will spin.
Excellent!
Had the car for about 3 weeks, excellent handling and power. So much torque at any speed, especially fun in highway cruising speeds.
Best Car I Have Owned
This is the perfect sports sedan for the American road. I have driven and owned 911s and other performance cars, but nothing comes close to the overal package that the C32 presents. The gas economy is GREAT for a performace car; the only faster car in accelleration that I have owned is a 911 twin turbo; it will out handle any sedan I have driven and most sports cars. In addition, despite being 10 inches shorter it has almost as much room inside as a BMW 5 series. If you want a true perfomance sedan that is comparable to an M5 for less money get a C32
2003 C32
Great car. No problems
C32 ROCKS!!!
plenty of horsepower and speed. The fuel economy is much better than it has been said(I tried it with my odometer) much better than my old cadillac deville which was ALWAYS in the shop and before that my camery in which I got rear end on a residential street sending me straight to the hospital and remember this was on a residential road where the speed limit was 20mph!!
Best 4 door rocket to buy.
If you're looking for a comfortable cruiser with lots of power, this car is for you. It's not a pure sports car, but does what it's intended very well. Excellent power, comfort and looks. The four doors make it very good for transporting families, while still giving you the option of sportiness when alone.
A great car
The car is an absolute joy to own/drive. Many people who ride in it can't believe that it is "only a V6." I tested this against the M3 and honestly it just came down to the extra 2 doors. You couldn't go wrong with either one.
Sweet C32
The C32 is a great car to drive. I love the way the car picks up, lots of power to spare. If you get a chance test drive one. You will want to take it home.
Interior needs work, the rest is great
I have had my 2003 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG for a little over six months. I love the engine, it seems to be put together rather well (I haven't had any problems in 4,000 miles), but the interior is awful. The ac/heater/wiper/c.control/pwr seat controls are worse than in the 1990 Nissan that I had. The cup holder is only symbolic, the lack of navigation and an in dash multi disk CD player is absurd at these price levels. If I could have taken my 2001 Saab's interior and put it into this car it would be perfect. Fortunately as soon as you put your foot down the thing takes off!
I Luv This Car
The M-B C32 is not for everyone, which is a good thing because only 1200 will hit the US shores each year. It delivers on its $50,000+ promise: performance, quality, comfort and luxury=FUN. It beats Covettes and outhandles most sports car but it also lopes along in sedate silence like a luxury car when driven conservatively. Design, quality of materials, fit and finish are first-rate. It is a safe and solid car but it can fly when asked. My first automatic after thinking for years that I wnated to shift for myself. My car came with zero initial defects and in the first 2500 miles and 4 months the only thing that needed service was a faulty alarm sensor.
NO COMPLAINTS
At first I had to get used to the power of this car. As I did I had lots of fun blowing away other non suspecting 2dr sports cars. it was quite fun and at the ligh they often ask me what it was and I would say c32 amg, they would look at me puzzled.....I guess this car was really meant for the enthusiasts.
Head & Shoulders above an M3
Incredible ride and handling. I also just smoked an M3 on the highway driving home.
2003 C32 AMG Review
Let me start by saying I was the third owner of this vehicle, and there's an old saying that "there's nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes." That holds especially true when dealing with a low volume, early in the Mercedes-AMG merger category, despite the plethora of resources available during the Mercedes/Chrysler merger years. Let's start with the bad: within months of ownership, things started to go wrong. The LCD screen on the dashboard went out completely, not giving me visuals for the plethora of things going wrong with the electrics on the vehicle. Despite having 30+ computers in it that were all likely running Windows 98, everything continued to function and work just fine, except for the sunroof. The LCD replacement cost me $50 on eBay and I did it myself over an hour. Back on the road, back to enjoyment. The W203 chassis is the technical successor to the acclaimed W124 chassis that came before it, despite different model designations. And while several trim and engine options were available, from 2002-2004, AMG decided to experiment with new technology, taking the very plain 3.2L Mercedes V6 and reworking the top end of it to include a twin-screw supercharger that they somehow made nearly silent. The result? A V6 with balance, reliability and fuel economy, but when the pedal was pressed to the floor, a magnetic clutch engaged the supercharger forcing air and electronically, fuel into the engine to yeild 349 horsepower and roughly the same in torque. Out of sheer laziness, the AMG engineers opted for the beefy transmission in Mercedes/Chrysler's line-up that could handle the torque, the same 5-speed, speed shift unit available as result of the R&D intermixing with McLaren for the Mercedes McLaren SLR from years earlier. This car was a subtle rocket, devoid of tell-tale visual cues like quad exhaust, exaggerated wheel arches or spoilers like other AMGs are known for. Debadged as mine was, you couldn't tell this car apart from a C230 Kompressor until you hit the accelerator and the car whirred and growled to life. With its stubby nose and peanut-shaped headlights, it was the most effeminate of the Mercedes line-up, with a half-assed attempt at retro styling in the midst of the earliest craze, but somehow this machine held a monster within, and AMG gave it the matching suspension, brakes and software mapping to match. I had folks in Lamborginis and Porsches demand I pull over to ask me what the heck my car was during the Pandemic on spirited drives. But like all Mercedes from this era, the enthusiasts in R&D were neutered by the accountants who were hellbent on turning a profit for shareholders as much as they wanted to be known for saving the environment. And thus despite mechanical superiority over its rivals -- the Audi S4 and BMW M3 of the era -- the C32 vanished into obscurity, taking with it the host of issues stemming from a factory wire harness designed to biologically degrade over the years, It started 85% of the time, and every time it did, it was the most fun car I've ever driven. But those other 15% caused bigger and bigger headaches, ultimately culminating in the necessities to replace not one but four catalytic converters at 155,000 miles, and shortly thereafter, the speed shift transmission itself. I brought this car back to life for half a decade, spending thousands on repairs and maintenance, and I don't regret it. This car behaved exactly like I wanted a car to my whole life. But eventually she succumbed to water damage from a flood, and there was nothing more I could do. If you can find a clean example... this car succeeded the C43 AMG and proceeded the C55 AMG, both more notable than this machine. But from 2002 to 2004, Mercedes and AMG made this little monster, about 4,400 of them, and they will go down as one of the rarest Mercedes post AMG-merger, and they were better than the S4 and M3 they were designed to dominate.
