The 2024 MX-5 Miata RF is a two-seat, two-door sports car available in Club and Grand Touring trim levels. Each is equipped with a power-folding roof that opens in 13 seconds and, when closed, makes the Miata RF look like a hardtop coupe. Both trims are rear-wheel-drive and powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (181 horsepower, 151 lb-ft of torque) backed by a six-speed manual transmission. A six-speed automatic with paddle shifters is optional, but only with the Grand Touring trim. The Club is the more expensive version of the Miata RF because it includes the optional Brembo/BBS Recaro package as standard equipment. Most shoppers will find the Grand Touring to their liking. It's not only less expensive than the Club model, but it's also easier to live with on longer drives thanks to a more comfortable suspension and the inclusion of adaptive cruise control. Miatas are known for attracting spirited drivers, though, and for them, the Club trim is a better choice.
