Beautiful Car, but already has issues
I leased the new CX90 less than two months ago. It’s a beautiful car, and an attention grabber. My family loves it because it’s extremely comfortable. BUT it already has issues. Less than a week after getting it, it started with a noise when accelerating. A little more than a month after the car seemed to get stuck in first gear when I made a turn. It happened twice. I took it into the dealer for service, and they seem to think it’s a transmission issue that needs an update. Could this be a recall issue? Maybe. Let’s see what happens. Not a good experience when a brand new car gives you issues so early into driving it.

Luxury all the way
We picked up my wife’s 2024 CX-90 premium plus SUV yesterday. It’s an absolutely amazing vehicle with so much technology. Super comfortable and so smooth driving. It just glides down the road with that 8 speed transmission. All around, it’s just luxury at its finest.

Satisfying Competence and more.
This car is great to drive. Our trips are usually around town (Waco). There are a couple of trips per month per month to Dallas, Austin, Kerrville. The car’s responsive sport feature kicks its acceleration up a notch. It is most useful for on-ramps and passing and is easily engaged. From about 40 to 90 it pulls solidly and does not run out of oomph as other cars do, it just goes. The ride is comfortable, smooth. It does not wallow. It feels planted at speed, and feels sure footed in turns. The interior is comfortable, and longer travels do not tire us out. The front row is spacious, shoulder, leg, and headroom is plentiful - much bigger than other midsizers. The second row is spacious. The third row is described as cramped - we use the third row occasionally - it is for grandkids not adults, and that suits us. The Bose audio is one of the better systems at this price level. After seven months of use, we still exclaim after we finish a trip: ‘That is a good car.’ We are pleased. Definitely would get another CX-90.

I should have known better.
Our signature was in 5 times for recalls ,one time almost caused a serious crash when it suddenly stopped, But it does have the power and smooth ride, will never buy a first year release again ,we put on 40000 kms in less then a year

Perfect Car
After owning my CX-90 Preferred Plus for several weeks and driving it extensively, I can now provide some insights. I traded in a 2020 Honda Passport with similar horsepower but different torque. Here are some observations: Quirks: The main adjustment for me has been to the hybrid system and how it starts the car. It's not necessarily bothersome, but it's different and requires some getting used to. The initial moment of getting going can feel a bit jittery. The charging pad is a bit sensitive, requiring precision in placing your phone. There's not an abundance of storage space for personal items. Likes: The driving dynamics of the CX-90 are truly impressive. The responsiveness of steering, braking, and acceleration is excellent. The interior is well-designed with thoughtful touches, even in my lower trim model. The car is notably more responsive than the Honda Passport with similar horsepower, thanks to the torque factor. Ride quality is comfortable, and the seats are accommodating, even for someone of my stature (6'1"). The interior is quiet, and there are ample outlets for convenience. The three-row seats are usable, which meets my needs as I don't frequently have passengers in the back. Bottom Line: If you prioritize driving dynamics over utility, the CX-90 could be a compelling option. However, if you require more loading space, there may be better alternatives. Overall, the CX-90 has impressed me with its performance, and I appreciate its unique features despite some initial quirks.
