Used 2023 Mazda CX-5 SUV Consumer Reviews
Zoom Zoom or Putt Putt?
Like: Sleek and sporty carbon look, overall safety tech, MPG is good (27.9 around town so far), red seat interior, Apple CarPlay (a must), ease of steering, price point vs SUV competitors. Dislikes: No rear room behind driver when anyone over 6’0 is driving and back far enough to feel comfortable, Not enough cubby space in cabin, USB in center console but not up front, unable to use CarPlay wirelessly (operator error?), a bit too firm a suspension (feeling the potholes), Not a Ram (traded it in- boo hoo), need to click into sport to pull out in traffic or putt putt is the result not zoom zoom.
Lacks basic safety equipment
I have a 2023 Carbon Edition. Looks sleek. Handles great. Gets good gas mileage….but original tires wore out after 28k miles, fog lights are not even available as an aftermarket upgrade ….and the kicker….no heated rear view mirrors. I almost had an accident driving home from the airport last night because I was in a hurry and forgot to wipe down my side mirrors with a dry rag, Who ever heard of such a thing? Cutting corners like this makes me doubt the brand. My second one…but never again. Trading it in first opportunity!!!

XM woes
I have had the car a week and this 70 yr old can’t install my XM mobile app or the Apple CarPlay 🙄

Awesome looking car
Like the car, except for the infotainment, it can be a pain in the brain.

Safe and sassy.
This is the largest and most up to date car I've ever owned. I love the safety features, and its sharp appearance and handling.
