Beware people ! The 2019 model year already had 6 recalls . We just dropped the car off at the dealership service .. some major transmission problem . Grinding noise going into gear past 60kmph, and burning smell , smoking comes from car .. this car only has 5,960km on it . 6 recalls and now this ? Avoid , avoid ! Junk !

Not ready for prime-time
This is my third Mazda 3. I bought the Premium Sedan in a beautiful blue and was so excited to get the new model with all the new technology. However, I could not be more disappointed and will never get another Mazda. The most basic car functions do not work. The bluetooth is almost non-functional. When I talk to people they often can't hear me and when I leave a message it isn't decipherable. If I turn the fan all the way down, I have better luck as it diminishes the background sound. It still isn't clear but better. I never had any issue with my 2015 Mazda 3. Then the HVAC system is ridiculous. The thermostat runs very hot so it's hard to get a comfortable temperature in the car. Add to that it blows heat when you turn on the A/C sometimes. This is a problem they know about and say there is a patch coming. I have no confidence whatsoever in the fix. Then there are 2 gas gauges, one a normal dial that barely ever moves and another gauge adjacent to that that shows in a linear graph form the miles remaining. The 2 gauges never agree. Then the gauge with the miles remaining, started at 300 with a full tank but then only showed 280 when filled. Then it would drop 20 miles after I had gone about 4. This is absurd. I can't believe they didn't do the work to be sure of the quality control. I don't know if my car is a lemon or not but some of the issues I've been told are known and Mazda is looking to fix them. I sort of dread getting into my car not knowing what is going to happen next. It drives nicely, smooth and comfortable and the seats are good. But this does not compensate for all the normal functions that simply don't work. Shame on Mazda.

Great Car
Its a really nice car. Very compact and comfortable. If you are much taller than 6ft, I wouldn't recommend. It's a nice family car if you have a smaller family. Gets amazing gas mileage. The trunk space is huge for a small sedan. Molded sears are comfy when driving for 2hrs plus. Definitely a good buy and worth keeping.

Excellent sedan; punches above it's price point
Excellent car for the price. Nearly 40,000 miles later I love the style and drive like it's day 1. The interior could fool you into thinking it's a luxury brand, and years later still holds up well. No gimmicks, just elegance and a fun driving experience. Only issue I've had a faulty tire sensor that needed to be fixed about 37,000 miles in, and a warped rotor. Both could have been one off flukes, but only time will tell. Would highly recommend.
