Pure fun
Great ride with excellent value and has all the toys you need!
Hands Down the Best Convertible availble
I've been driving my car for the past couple of months and i love it!!! i've driven various convertibles and couples before and the acceleration and handling on the SC430 is phenomenal, and the styling inside and out is just breath taking... RETRACTABLE HARD TOP and Navigation System makes this car even more awesome... and with my bad back run flats are an absolute heaven sent.

a must
a must for high rollers. the car has a smooth ride and it is better than the bmw radster(I know because I own a new one)
Asian answer to European standard
Nice v8 power with great fuel economy. Very stiff chassis for a convertible, no cowl shake. Always a crowd pleaser when lowering / raising the top.

Great Toy
Bought this vehicle 2 years ago AND LOVE IT. It had one owner who kept it immaculate. First thing I did was ditch the run flats! I have always wanted an totally impractical and fun car- but this one is fun but not impractical. It has a trunk that holds a lot more than you would think. The back seat is extremely tight for average adult but I can get two teenagers in the back seat without any problems. Getting in and out of the car is hard if I have heels on but it would be the same for a corvette. Anyway, love this TOY

2002 ONE OWNER
First saw the car in a Road and Track magazine in early 2002. They were just starting to import them so it took me several months to get a blue one with the tan interior. Took the run flat tires off of it immediately and have never had anything except routine maintance and brakes done. It has a little over 100,000 miles on it now and I would never consider selling it.

best car for me
mine has 150 thousand miles a silver 2002 super nice car get some stares from people. Had to replace ball joints tie rods and valve cover gasket. Love this car its not as fast as my 350z but it is so cool to drive with the top down. Good stereo the speakers aint cheap the ride is pretty brittle but other than that its the best car i have ever owned

Fantastic quality
Present mileage is 72 K; and it is like new. It's always garaged and serviced by Lexus and still receives great compliments. Mechanically, it has been and continues to be, superb and still rides, drives, and looks brand new. Just an awesome vehicle; 22 years old and it seems brand new; everything works perfectly on this unique and desirable car!

perfect choice
I compared many cars and came to the conclusion not only was it a geat buy for the price but that it needed very little if any upgrades or customizing everything came standard and out of all the dealerships I visited ( some which I walked away from even though they had my car there due to rudeness and unwillingness to bend on the cost) Tustin was profesional courtious and a down right pleasure to purchase from both the sales manager (Mike) and my salesman(Eddie)went out of there way to make me happy including driving to palm springs himself to pick up my car so I could have it sooner
my first lexus
HAD IT FOR 4K MILES. A REAL HEAD TURNER, GOT THE INDIGO BLUE W/ECRU. NAV IS OK, BUT NOT TOTALLY ACCURATE. DEALER'S SERVICE PEOPLE ARE GREAT, BOUGHT OZ RACING WHEELS FOR $1,000 AT TIRE DISCOUNTERS, ECRU IS VERY TOUGH TO KEEP CLEAN!!! ALREADY GOT 3 CHIPS IN NOSE...MAN THAT FIRST ONE WAS AGGRAVATING!,LIKE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF FREE DEALER CAR WASHES, BUT THEY DO A CRAPPY JOB COMPARED TO ME, SO I END UP DOING IT OVER ANYWAY (SORRY) WOULD LIKE A STIFFER SUSPENSION, MORE LIKE MY X5 BMW. OVERALL, CAN'T KNOCK THIS GREAT CAR, EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT A MB. GOOD DEAL FOR THE BUCK WITH ALL THE OPTIONS!
One fine machine!
This is a very fun car to drive. It is extremely comfortable for both driver and passenger, possesses every amenity one could desire including a very functional GPS and a marvelous sound system from Mark Levinson. Added to that you get Lexus service which I have found to far above and beyond any other brand. My vehichle is silver with black leather interior and I do have the run flat tires on it to conserve trunk space.
Red Hot SC430
By far this is the best car I've ever owned. This car rivals a F-16 with afterburners at full throttle. Since the day I've owned it, not one day has passed without getting the attention of another driver or comment in a parking lot. But that is nothing to the feeling of hopping into it, putting the top down and the incredible Mark Levinson Stero on some really fine tunes and cruising the roads at high speeds and quick subtle turns. Like I said, this car is RED HOT !
Fun drive
It's a fun vehicle to drive around town and just as comfort for longer journey. Impressive pick-up and go too.
My Perspective
Overall a wonderful car! Sleek styling and Lexus quality to match. Obviously it's nothing more than a two-seater as the back seats aren't good for much beyond the briefcase or a bag of groceries. Performance comes alive in the midrange... don't look for fast acceleration off the line but others will soon fear you at about 40mph+
Finally..
It is the pinnacle we are all trying to reach, and Lexus has firmly taken you there with the SC430. A precisely built efficiently amusing and amazingly comfortable convertible that outclasses anything before or since. The seats provide the type of comfort you would only expect in a sedan and the leather is more luxurious than most Ferragamo supple coats. The steering is tight and responsive while the ride hugs the road but remains responsive. If it appeals to your visual senses, it will embrace your need for speed and exceed your demands for the utmost in luxury. Yes, Lexus, we have arrived.
Excellent
Have enjoyed it, but certain small things are starting to go wrong ... brake light stays on when brake is not on, tire light stays on even though I have had them filled ... small things like that keep happening that are a bit annoying.
SC430...King of the Road
Ihave many cars including Ferrari, Rolls, Bentley...Astin Martin..did love my Rolls a lot, but the Lexus SC 430SC is all my dreams wrapped up in one car..its a convertible..its a hardtop..its most comfortable..beautiful interior...not a sleek body style,,but all in all a winner..for the money..a real buy....
