Nice, But Not Great.Quality Has Declined

Although the RX330 has some improvements, there have been some steps backwards in my opinion. The car is much noisier than the RX300, particularly noticeable at speeds over 50. Highway noise is NOT muted as in other Lexus models, wind noise is a constant. Transmission shifting from a start is laborious and loud. The Mark Lev radio is nothing special and its volume controls are make it hard to find a volume that you can keep it on. The radio lite is too bright. The back-up camera is weak: at night the screen "whites out",and there is no useful depth perception. The adaptive headlights gyrate and flit around constantly as you go up and down hills and are of dubious benefit and value.

Fun but jerky

I really love my new RX 330 in almost every way. I love the looks, and the enterior and the on the open road. Running errands around town is easier in the 330 than any car I've owned. My only problem with the 330 is a jerking sensation from the transmission whenever I let off the excelerator and then step on it again. This is especially noticeable at low speeds like taking corners in my residential neighborhood. It is truly annoying. The dealership tells me it is caused by the electronic excelator instead of the old-fashioned cable. They claim all cars suffer from this problem, but I have never felt it on any other car I have owned or driven any length of time.

Getting Spoiled by Lexus

Allan, 09/23/2005

Have a dressed up RX330 with navigation. Have been very impressed with quality, comfort, quiet ride, performance, handling. Have talked with friends who've driven Lexus for 20 years and never needed a repair. Dealership was great, service is great, car is fun to drive. My wife is primary driver, and I thought I would never get her out of her Land Rover (she has a phobia about running into a deer). After one day in the Lexus, she's never gone back to the Land Rover, and will probably buy Lexus from now on. Only complaint: not enough storage bins in front (no place for parking/toll change). Could take a lesson from the Toyota Sienna XLE. Could use parking sonar, too.

I have loved this car from the start, it drives great and is a really reliable car. It has never been in the repair shop. The only problem is the hesitation i guess only in AWD models; somethings is weird with the transmission.

Art on Wheels

I love this vehicle. It fits like a designer suit and is lots of fun to drive. Many SUV's drive like a truck. Not the Lexus RX330. It's all about comfort and luxury. When I see it from a distance I have to pinch myself to realize that I really do own this piece of art on wheels. The RX330 is one of the most beautiful vehicles on the road. I think I'm in love.
