Used 2019 Lexus ES 350 Sedan Consumer Reviews
Mini LS
I traded my loaded 2014 MB E350 for the ES350. I could not be happier. It is quieter and smoother. You have to realize this car is not for people who like to feel the road, drive fast, push the engine or stuff like that. This is for those of us who miss our father’s Buick. We want a boulevard ride and we don’t want to hear the engine working. I do not notice any issue with the transmission. Merging on the highway is smooth and confident. The dynamic cruise works better than it did in my MB. The complaints about the user interface for all the tech are silly. I am 64 and have no problems with it. One thing that is very nice is the degree with which you can customize the tech to fit your preferences. The car does not have auto parking, but the parking assist with the panoramic view is amazing. Read the manual on that one. It is so good, I find it hard to use my mirrors when backing into a space. The heated and cooled seats work well and if that is not enough, they have a auto setting. That’s right. You don’t need to remember to turn them on or off. They know what you need. Bottom line, if you like BMW, the ES is not your best choice. I wish it had AWD, but FWD is pretty good in snow. 2 weeks later I like it even more. If you like cars that are quiet and comfortable with a posh ride, you'd like the Lexus LS and now you'll also like the Lexus ES. Unlike others here, I like the track pad. I don't want a touch screen. I skimmed the manual and do not find anything confusing about the Enform Infotainment system. I love the huge bright display. I can see it in any lighting condition. It doesn't look like a tablet was clued to the dashboard. I find the ML sound system sounds just fine. If there is a problem in the back seat I don't really care since I'm in the front. The ventilated seats really do cool and even better they turn themselves on when needed. That's huge. The Navigation chooses routes based on traffic which it gets from the cloud. The speech recognition is awesome. I can say "Directions to Best Buy" and it will present the nearest locations and ask me which one. It is natural language so I don't have to remember any keywords. I could have said "Get Directions", "Where is the closest" or "Take me to". The car is super quiet, very easy to steer and smooth brakes. Engine drone and tire noise is minimal. I got mine in the mysterious Atomic Silver and everyone loves it. It has Apple Play and I tried it out, but I prefer the built in system. It's easier to use and it displays instructions in the heads up display. The surround view works in darker places and I feel safer using it than my mirrors. 6 months later I've noticed the interior lighting is very dim compared to other cars. It must be a good car if, 6 months later that's the only 'con' I can come up with.

Stereo really is awful
I purchased this car used back in March. (2022) I wish I had done more research and came here first - all of the stereo reviews are correct; it is brutally awful. I kept the car about 6 months, finally decided to bite the bullet and get rid of it. (Sold it myself, luckily I didn't take "too" much of a loss. Here's the good: The car is beautiful, I love the grill. Smooth, powerful, quiet engine The ride on highway is outstanding The bad: I am a 59 year old man; technology knowledge is probably average. Simply put, controls for stereo, navigation, etc. are too much. I read the manual and learned to perform all features, but my question to Lexus is "why?" It's not necessary. As mentioned earlier, the stereo-it's really bad. Blind spots - I'm getting older, (which doesn't help), but I can't see out of this car. The BSM and cameras help a lot, (they're excellent), but I struggled in fast traffic. (All other vehicles, SUV's & trucks, are getting bigger, this is also part of the problem.) If you can live with the stereo and love a powerful, smooth luxury sedan, this is a great car. It wasn't for me.

There's no sound coming from the back speakers
There's no sound coming from the back speakers. The front grill sits very low which makes it scrub when you go up at steep drive way.

Awesome.. Awesome car! My favorite 🚗 ever!
This is my 3rd ES. My first F-Sport. You must go with the F-sport! That’s the only way to get the 19 inch wheels but this car is awesome! I love the size of the car, the ride and the look! The 8 speed transmission is so smooth it reminds me of a Mercedes. CarPlay is cool, it eliminates the on and off of Bluetooth. The wireless charger so far is a bad design. I have a iPhone XS Max I cant figure out how to use it but it doesn’t really matter because with car play my phone is always plugged in and charging. The tech and safety is great! When in cruis the car almost drives itself! It will stay in the lane for the most part and brake for you! So far Mpg is 2 mpg less than my 2016 ES but it is a larger car with bigger wheels.

Awesome piece of machinery!
this car is fantastic and have outstanding drive and power quality along with everything else, I am super happy that I made decision to buy this car, I am pretty sure will be very reliable as Lexus always does its job! Wanted to point out to all people who got this car and criticized and bashing non stop due to stereo or other issues, listen up, we all like different things and have own personal taste in stuff, its understandable and should be respected, to each their own of course but there is no need for bashing this car just because we don't like this or that, no car is perfect and never will be but if you don't like it go right ahead and get car u like according your personal choice, we live in whiney society!
