Used 2005 Kia Sorento SUV Consumer Reviews
neat mid size suv
Have been very happy with my Sorento. The only short coming is the 18-20 mpg I get drive -- mix city and highway driving.
Sorry Sorento
I bought the car 9 months ago and since then had a new transmission put in (2 months), new steering wheel (crooked) and a few shimmers and creaks fixed as well as dash rattling. Now the one that kills me is having the harmonic balancer (main pulley) bolt break off while doing 70mph down the freeway and losing power steering and a few other important driving features. Keep in mind that the bolt is connected directly to the crank shaft which is now going to be replaced because KIA doesn't ship complete motors and this after owning it 9 months with only 8000 miles.

You'd want this in your driveway
I bought my 2005 Kia Sorento because my Mitsubishi Eclipse was getting too small. I looked at the Ford Explorer V6 and also the Toyota Highlander. I loved the way this one looked and drove. I must recommend the EX 4WD model because it rides sooo much better then the LX. Especially if you want the moonroof and the power seats!
Impressed with the Sorento
The Sorento wasn't among the cars we intended to check out. Upon reading the reviews, we added it to the list. The test drive was so smooth, we bumped it up to our top three. When the Honda guy told us that the Sorentos are viable competition to the CR-V, we knew the Sorento was the one to buy.
kia builds a great suv
Wife was hit head on by a chevy cavalier. Chevy was totalled and the kia suffered a broken grille, hood and fender. 2500 to repair it. She was not hurt either.
