Used 2003 Jeep Liberty Consumer Reviews
Jeep
Good buy for smaller SUV
Let's go Jeep'n
This is my second Jeep. The first was a '92 Cherokee. I've loved them both. The Liberty feels like a sports car, but jacked up with 4 wheel drive. The seats cradle me and the steering is sure. The engine isn't a supercharged V8, but it is quite capable of moving the little Jeep around.

Love my Jeep
I owned a Wrangler and Cherokee prior to this Liberty and I am completely satisfied to this point. Fuel economy is horrible but I am trying a Mopar fuel body spacer and air intake system to help with this. I am driving this vehicle in Germany and it is wonderful on the narrow streets and pretty stable at high speeds on the autobahn. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone wanting an SUV but one small enough to drive like a car. The leather interior is wonderful and no complaints about workmanship to this point. I do wish however that American automobiles like this Liberty had a better re-sale value for future purchases.
poor rear suspension
plenty of power from v6 but the goodyear wranglers that came on the liberty give very poor traction on anything but dry pavement. at about 8000 km. rear suspension started to bottom out even under light load by 10000km. it was so bad if you filled the gas tank it was enough to make it bottom out.
a little bigger but just as much fun
had a Wrangler for years. loved it but needed a skosh more room. Liberty fit the bill. it's quick, comfortable, cute and oh so easy to drive. love it..love it..love it too.
