Used 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV Consumer Reviews
2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2wd
I purchased my Laredo in February 2022. I drive alot of miles each year for work and always in SUVs. I was a huge fan of Pathfinders but finding the old school rwd models with low miles was getting almost impossible to find. I never considered the GC. Their reputation was crap I thought. In reality early on they had a bad rap mostly due to recalls, alot of recalls. Reviews were harsh early on. What I noticed was being a 10 year old SUV was the newest review the last 4-5 years actually showed people were really liking them. Then after asking 2 family members who were mechanics what they thought I was surprised by their thumbs up on them. All this was because I found a one owner snowbird laredo with 24000 miles. Now fast forward to today 5 months, 8500 miles driven with zero issues, great mpgs for what it is, can hit 25 mpg at 70 mph. Its a nicely optioned version and I am enjoying ownership.

Hate that I love it
Limited V8 was not an option here, but that's my package. Tempted to give this car 4 stars, but I've had one too many negative experiences to do so. Still my daily driver in 2020, 100k miles. Pros: Attractive/timeless design, interior and exterior 20" stock wheels Sturdy leather seats Contrary to other reviews here - no dashboard bubbling issues. Laredo and Limited trim don't have the cheaply leather-wrapped dash. Cons: 12 mpg avg (displayed on dash) Expensive repairs. $9k total this year - ROUGH. $7k was camshaft, common w Hemi V8.

2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, 5.7L Hemi 4x4 3 years in and at 155k miles, this has been a great vehicle. Pros: Comfy, Fast, Safe, Smooth Ride, Rugged - This is NOT a look alike wanna-be SUV Cons: Fuel Mileage, WATER PUMPS! (2 in 60k miles) , and Fuel Pump Relay defect Overall a Great Car

Thrilled with the quality and luxury
Bought a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in Black with the Frost Beige Leather interior. Have driven it about 1,000 miles so far and I LOVE IT! I had to wait for the 2012 since the dealer couldn't get their hands on any 2011s in Black with the Rear DVD option (I have two kids). It was worth the wait! The V6 on the Limited is more than adequate (I do not tow anything). I miss the extra punch of the V8 in my old 2001 JGC, but the mileage is much better (23-24 HWY) and the car rides so smooth.
