MANNY'S TRUE REVIEW...SO FAR !.

MY TRUTHFUL experience with this vehicle has been very favorable thus far as I have not encountered any problems of any significance as of today -5-11-03 (nearly 6 months after purchase).I have no complaints about the ride as I have confidence the vehicle will navigate any driving situation I might encounter during my driving experiences on the job which includes going up hilly terrain to remote telecommunications tower sites when required to .Driving the vehicle does not seem to create any unneccessary effort as it is a plain pleasure for me to steer it and make the vehicle perform as I want it to.

I moved on from a 2002 Honda CRV to a 2003 Jeep Grand since I really missed having a nice engine that could move. What I found out so far, this SUV is more comfortable, handles better, interior feels better.

Had a good 1996 Grand Cherokee i.e. 104,000 miles and second set of tires, just got first brakes, no repairs except cat. conv, why not a new one. Got a 2003. More space in rear compartment. Poorer driver vision on 2003. Lost storage space in front part of cab i.e. console and glove are smaller, also small door compartments. Main problem is that although engine has same displacement as 1996 the 2003 feels underpowered. Never had that problem with 1996. "Any" grade at speed makes the engine strain. Nickel and dime loses from 1996 i.e. no eng comp. light, poor cup holder position etc. In eng comp I found screws just lying around. Wonder where they belong?

trucks,95 Laredo, more trucks, 03 Laredo much nicer than 95. Of course this one is loaded. very comfortable, and fun to drive. feels solid. needs better gas milage on 4.0! Should get at least 20 mpg all around. That is my only complaint.

After looking at several other SUV's I again went back to the Jeep. Nothing like it for the money. Great style, great comfort and fun to drive. Rugged eough to go off road whenevr you want. This is my 5th Jeep. Just traded in a 99 Cherokee with 100K miles.Never did anything to the engine. Routine service really does work. Even though I look at the others, there is still only one- JEEP

Living in the Sierras we certainly get our fair share of snowy and icy conditions during the winter months, our Grand Cherokee Limited handles these conditions with no problems at all, we especially like the Quadra- Drive system and the HO V-8. An all around great vehicle for people who have to commute in less than perfect conditions

This was an upgrade from the '95 model of the same vehicle. The '95 was a great car other than it suffered from some reliablity issues. This time around I got the extended warranty just in case, but so far no problems and I'm totally pleased with it. Build quality seems great and the design and features are top notch. Very confortable and powerful and best looking midsize SUV on the road and off.

fun to drive. unique handling but enjoyable after getting used to it. I don't understand the transfer case stuff and don't know if I need to. Reading about the inline 6. Seems impressing. Extremely reliable.

The Jeep Overland Rocket

I just purchased my '03 Overland and this Jeep is not only loaded with luxury, it is loaded with power. That HO engine is amazing! Quite honestly, I have never driven an SUV with so much power that handled so well. I almost bought a Yukon because I wanted the power and could only find it in a big SUV. I purchased the Overland because I got the power I wanted without the hassle of parking such a big vehicle. Besides, this is the sharpest looking SUV on the road.

The interior of the Overland is incredibly comfortable and upscale. I have compared my Jeep to my friends expensive SUVs (Suburban, Range Rover, Hummer H3) and I think my Jeep wins hands down. Leather/Suede seats, wood grain steering wheel, perfectly placed items abound. I am ecstatic about my third Jeep...I can't imagine driving anything else.

OK for an American car

I got a really good deal on this or I probably would have gotten something nicer. I wanted 4 wheel drive and an SUV and I got this one at a good deal. I'm used to imports so I would have to say that overall, I'm not really happy with it. Wind noise, inferior sound system, chipmunk noises in the dash, not enough power. But if you don't mind buying American, it's a good value and nicer than the Fords and Chevys.

Fan belt broke in 6 months after purchasing the Jeep, heater control panel broke down after a year, the brake pads broke within a year. When I keep bringing back my Jeep for repair, the service department is not very receptive to customers.

I have the I have the limited 2wd 4.7l v8 ,The seats are uncomfortable just after 20 minutes my bottom was hurting and I couldn't get any comfortable potion, the power is alright with the 4.7l v8 I have it's a bit loud when it's at higher rpm's but it's alright in power, lot of road noises, I have the stock suspension and it is weird don't like the feel at all it feels like the car wants to almost roll over when turning.

Best Vehicle ever, If you're willing to invest tim

I absolutely love my 03 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo. It is the best vehicle I have ever owned. But I see all these people leaving bad reviews, and all I can figure is that they didn't understand that when you get any jeep you gotta be willing to invest a little time into maintaining your vehicle. As long as you're at least a little mechanically inclined and willing to invest the time into the upkeep, these vehicles should last for several years especially if it's the inline 6.
