Knock wood.....this has been a great car
I read a lot about the poor shifting of the 9 speed transmission. I haven't had the first problem with this or any thing with this car! It has only been back to the dealer for oil change and tire rotation. My ONLY complaint is that the off road tires are somewhat loud, but, they ARE off road tires and I accept that. I remain totaly happy with my choice to purchase it.

What an upgrade!
In 2014, I ordered a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk V6 in Mango Tango Pearl for my wife. She promptly named it "Eugene". We leased it for three years (I do not purchase first-year vehicles...you never know how the market will respond to them). I chose not to order the tech package or glass roof. When the lease term was up, we traded it (with equity!) and leased a 2017 Chrysler 300S with the Alloy package. For the last two years, not a day has gone by when I didn't hear how much she missed "Eugene". Finally, the opportunity came and I traded my Ram 1500 for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite with the 2.0T. Wow - total transformation! As good as the 2014 was (we took it places I would have been leery of taking our quad, and never once did it see the shop save for routine maintenance and a minor recall or two). This new one is absolutely fantastic. The turbo is outrageously quick, the LED lighting is so much better than the last one that the old may as well have been candles, and the tech package never ceases to please. The only items I chose not to get with this one were the black wheels (too much money just for paint), the CD player (CDs? Really? and it takes up too much room in the console) and the factory rock rails - I'll be adding some RRO rock rails instead; I like the kicker at the rear that moves your rear wheels out of the way). The pearl white paint is not as distinctive as the mango tango pearl, but it's very attractive nonetheless, and the fit and finish are exemplary. Mama is overjoyed by "Neugene" and I have not issue driving the 300S until it's time to get my next vehicle - which is almost certainly going to be a Gladiator Rubicon. I've had nothing but Mopars now since 2011, and have had exactly 0 failures on any of them, or any reason to take them to the shop other than routine maintenance/recalls. Very, very happy with this one.

Awesome vehicle
We got ours "used" with like 4K miles on it. It is primarily "hers." It has everything you can get including the technology package that makes it an IIHS top safety pick . THAT is very important to her. We do have the 3.2 six cylinder, but towing, although not likely, could be a part of the equation at some point for a very small trailer. We just got lucky with this as it would have been exactly what I would have ordered and the deal was the best in the country on Cargurus . It is Granite Crystal with blacked out badging and with the black wheels. It is a very nice looking vehicle. As to driving, I personally put it in sport mode from the gitgo. It is obvious that the "auto" is designed for fuel economy. It is a completely different vehicle in sport mode. The sunroof is huge and it handles quite well. We haven't done any off-roading yet. Time will tell on that. It's a great car still three years later and since it is hers, it is a garage queen with less than 9,000 miles on it. Yes, you heard that right... I asked just for the heck of it what they would offer me for it about five months ago. We got it used for 31,500 with 4500 miles on it MSRP over 41K, has every single bell and whistle there is on one including tow package and every safety thing there is. But, Yes, my wife has only put about 4500 miles on it. It is pristine and perfect. We do special trips without the dogs in it and go out for dinner dressed up type things. I occasionally let it clear its lungs and (don't tell her) go hard on some National Forest Roads so it doesn't forget what it is. Oh, yeah, last July they offered me 34K for it at over three years old (2019). I don't think so...but still more than we paid for it. Amazing times. Update 4/2025 Still going strong.

Zing Zing this thing's got some bling.
Bought a new black/black/black 2019 trailhawk cherokee. New to the tech (last car 2005 jag, xtype) but seems intuitive, time will tell. Ride comfort seems to be very, very good as opposed to a 2006 Ford Ranger which is about the same wheelbase and I hated that. Interior feels spacious in front seats, haven't tried the back seats. Smallish storage (boot) in back. Fit/finish seems to be pretty good, some nicer finishes & some cheap plastics. Although V6 has decent torque/HP, it's performance seems sluggish (weight/transmission?). Overall, very happy with the purchase and would recommend.

Love my Trailhawk
I have owned a lot of vehicles over the years, including a few Jeeps. This vehicle reminds me of how much I love Jeeps. This one is special!
