Underpowered is an understatement
I drove the 2019 2.4L 4X4 across country and it could not pull it's weight out of the a paper bag. One of the most under powered vehicles I have ever driven. I would not recommend it unless you only drive in town with no hills. On flat roads it drove okay just don't try to accelerate quickly.

My Overland has it all and a great value too.
This is my second Cherokee and I tested other similar vehicles and models and the Cherokee Overland just couldn’t be beat. From style, interior quality, standard features, past and present reliability, V-6 strong but economic performance and that Jeep heritage for rugged driving dynamics the Cherokee Overland is the hands down class winner. As I drive in friends SUV’s many luxury imports I ask, did these people ever drive a Cherokee? I think the real life value and big built in advantages would sell the Jeep in five minutes. Most expensive, true, but the Overland gives you so much value for the money it stand up to close evaluation and thought. Glad I bought another Cherokee.

Not a bad small suv
There are many recalls on this vehicle. I've owned one for less than a year and the check engine light has already come on. The transmission is rough in this jeep model. Not to mention the screen inside the vehicle only works when it wants to work. It is somewhat reliable if you make sure all recalls are fixed and don't need to merge on the interstate.

Not what I expected
This SUV is a gas guzzler, the gas saver button is annoying you have to push it every time you start up the SUV. I have had mine 3 months and the touch screen already having issues. I wish I had my Journey back!!

Blind spot between left mirror and post
It has a great ride, very comfortable. The 2.4 engine is a little lacking but more than adequate. Handles very nice and has great visibility. This is my 4th new Cherokee-84'-93'-99', I still have my 99'. Keep building them and I'll keep buying them.

This is a great Jeep
I have seen others say that Jeep Cherokee has all these problems. I bought this new 2019 and I have no issues and the car is fantastic. I have the 6cyld and it moves and accelerates great. I have the vinyl seating which feels great and seems more durable than leather. we have another Jeep at 170,000 mile the car is great the leather seats are shot. I find the Cherokee has plenty of room in the back and for seating. It tows my trailer for fishing and stores my gear fine. This Jeep does sit lower to the ground more like a car. Maybe even like a hybrid without the hybrid weird look? I am very satisfied with this car and the gas mileage I get mixed use is about 22mpg. Highway is closer to 29mpg.

Greatest Cherokee yet
Superb power and reliability, 2.0T wasn’t an option in review model but my 4x4 comes with amazing off-road and snow capability. 0-60 in 6 seconds flat, great passing gears. 2.4 Compass 2020 has been just as great. 42,000 miles on the Cherokee 0 complaints.

ABS dilemma
We have a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4 WD with 14,400 miles. We love how it handles; rides and looks. However within 30 days the check engine lite has come on then ABS stability control , transmission is overheating, 4WD inoperable, cruise control disabled. When this occurred the power steering felt like it was in 4WD hard to turn etc. took to dealer they said Right ABS malfunctioning and replaced Ok, 10 days later the above error messages reappear, take it back in, LEFT ABS sensor is Bad. I live near the beach but we have never driven on the beach, the service manager asked if I had it on the beach. I advised No and he said the Jeep abs sensor is housed outside the wheel hub and thus exposed and that he sees this issue often here? He also said the new jeeps now have the sensors inside the wheel hub so it protected from the elements? Has anyone else seen this issue and or figured out how to resolve

Oil Consumption Woes
My 2019 with 32,000 has oil consumption problems. It burns about 1 qt per 1,000 miles. Jeep is bailing on fixing it. They want receipts for oil changes and their customer service is the WORST. Stay far away from any Jeep product. .

Solid suv
This is my second Cherokee I’m primarily a Jeep guy and this suv fits me not to big and not to small! My first one had the 2.4,little under powered for me that’s why I went up to the 3.2 both get the same gas mileage about 21 miles to the gallon!

Disappointed
I really love the color and style of my Jeep but I’m constantly going back to the shop for the same issue. My radio freezes, reboots and screen turns solid blue. The radio has already been replaced and updated. Now it’s going to be replaced again. I’m very frustrated and growing very impatient.

Buyer beware!!!
3 years and 3 transmissions later, I got rid of the car and went back to Toyota. I bought my Jeep new and first started seeing issues around 20k with hard shifting and lurching just as other customers mentioned. It was also stalling off and on and that's when I had the transmission replaced the first time. Very scary! All three transmissions were covered under warranty but my warranty ended this past summer. When I started having issues with stalling this week, I took it in and they told me it was the battery. I don't believe them because I'm seeing signs of transmission issues yet again. I knew it was time to get rid of the car and find something reliable and safe. I will never purchase from jeep again

Fun to drive
I traded an Infinity Q60 coup for the 2019 Jeep Cherokee. It was just as much fun to drive and had a panoramic sun roof instead of the convertible. The Jeep is quieter with the top open than the Infiniti with the top down. Also cheaper to operate and maintain. A good car that compares to the Infiniti? YES!!

Limited 3.2 l v6. 18000
After putting nearly 180000 miles on a 2012 Liberty sport with only maintenece and a water pump, purchases this with 11800 on it. Nothing bad to say, it rides and handles great, the v6 is responsive and all the power needed plus more, love the 9 speed, shifts so smooth hardly feel it.

Just right
Bought this, a lease turn in, kess than 12000 miles. Wonderful daily driver, nice ride, handling. quiet. The 3 2 has a nice growl when pushed and good acceleration. 9 speed is great. Had that on a 12 charger, love it. ❤️ Daughter and inlaws have the 2.4, not as impressed as the 6 is just a mile under mpg.
Jeep 2019 Cherokee quality is bad
I purchased 2019 Jeep Cherokee in June 2018. Only 4 years + 3 month. Total mileage is 30100. But Electronic Power Steering is on and send to dealer to check. They said whole EPS system needs to be replaced and cost me $2200. What kink qualify is it? only 30100 miles. But it passed 36 month, so I need to pay by myself. Very very bad qualify

not good
I purchased my jeep brand new, 2019 Cherokee, hate it. This is my 3rd jeep, and I must say the only one that was good was the 2004. I had a 2015 nothing but problems and reluctantly decided to give Jeep one more shot with a 2019. First of all it is sluggish and it had issues with the U connect. Those were things, I thought ok, drive it until you can trade it, this will be ok. Well at 40k miles its having all sorts of issues with the windshield wipers. Yes, I know should not be a huge ordeal, but seriously should a 2019 vehicle really have this problem? Jeep is no longer producing the quality vehicles they used to. Disappointed again and moving on, bye Jeep.

big john
40,0000 miles and no problems.. comfortable, sits good even on long trips and has good visibility. The pick up is good but not race car. Milage runs around 20 in town and 28-32 on the highway at average of 75 mph. Love the v-6
Nothing but a headache at 38,000
I don’t abuse my car, after 5 years I only have 38,000 miles on it. There’s been numerous recalls, software issues (my console still has a pop-up theft warning code that blacks out my screen at least once a month for a drive or 2 that they just can’t fix, my 4WD light is on and I’ve had stalling issues if I don’t change my oil before it’s recommended because it burns oil which gives it low pressure when turning. It would be a great car if they would actually fix the issues but they just give you the run around and say maybe the next update. Better get rid of it or buy that extended warranty. My trusted mechanic warned me and I didn’t listen! So BE WARNED!!

Jeep Cherokee traihack
My own personal opinion it feels very comfortable to drive also look compact and tough, the only reason I don’t give 5 stars it’s because for me it come 13 gallons fuel tank, it’s if only they put 16-18 gallons tank fuel it will be almost perfect.
Terrible Car BURNED UP!
I bought a 2019 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 for my daughter when she got her license about 3 years. Ago, the first major issue was that the whole nav/infotainment system failed, just before the warranty ran out, but because we didn't take it in before the 3 year/36k mile warranty expired, they said it would cost $1200 to replace and would take time to get the part. The service guy also said because we live in in a hotter environment, it would just fail again. Not only did it fail, it would automatically and repeatedly dial either 911 or my cell every time she got in the car. Which was dangerous and distracting for her as a new driver. They eventually fixed it months later when the new part came in, and we found lawsuits on these parts for other Jeep/Chrysler vehicles to the problem was widespread. Then, recently she was on a road trip, pulled over to get gas and called us because the car started smoking, 3 minutes later, flames were coming from the hood. She called 911, and when the firemen arrived it was engulfed in flames right next to the fuel pump. They were able to get out of the car and a safe distance. Ultimately the entire front end was burned to a crisp to the point that it is difficult to even tell what type of vehicle it was. The pictures are shocking butt his review site doesn't provide for uploading pictures. Needless to say, we are in the market for a different brand of car, and one that has a better warranty out of the gate. We feel lucky she was parked at the time and not on the highway or in traffic. Smoke completely filled the car as well.

2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Excessive Oil Consumpt
Since we acquired this unit (2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude) in Dec of 2018, we experienced 3 times of excessive oil consumption and the unit stop twice while driving due to almost emptied of engine oil. We complained this to the dealership and said they found nothing about this abnormality. This is the first and last for Jeep.lately I found out that owners of this unit has a class suit with the manufacturers from contact@fcatigersharksettlement.com. the dealership did not inform us about this case.

2019 Jeep Cherokee
Great vehicle, no mechanical issues after 5 years and 65k miles. The 6 cylinder engine has enough pep to pull a 17ft trailer with ease and gets great gas mileage.

Sweet ride!!
I bought this SUV new in 2018 and I LOVE it!! Very comfortable seats, nice selection of options, and decent price. After 6 years, I have had no other maintenance costs other than oil changes and tire rotations. I could not ask for a better vehicle for my needs. I am so happy I made the decision to buy a Jeep!!!

Great value!
I’m happy with everything about my Jeep Cherokee Latitude. It feels substantial, rides well, and is comfortable. The 4 cyl is more than adequate for highway cruising or running short errands. I also appreciate apple car play and all the other tech in the car. The transmission shifts fine, and I like having different driving modes.

Excruciating pain.
The seats are the most uncomfortable things on earth for long drives. Their are hundreds of positions you can adjust the seat to and everyone sucks. If the jeep I am driving was not a rental, I would have run into an on coming semi truck. I am sending a chiropractor bill to jeep as I cannot move without pain now.

Nothing but trouble
First, I should say that this is my 4th Jeep in so many years. Unfortunately, this one ( Limited 4x4) will be my last. Absolutely nothing but a headache since I drove it off the lot. Two main issues remain after multiple ( 9 or more) trips to the dealer. The hood flutters uncontrollably at high rates of speed ( Hwy 70 mph plus). Some owners are calling it "Hood Gate" online. It's a well known problem but unfortunately not severe or numerous enough for a recall. You honestly think the hood is going to fly open..scary as heck. The other issue is the tires (Continental Pro Contact TX) I have 10.5 K miles on them and they need to be REPLACED. Both the dealer and the Continental rep told me that Chrysler buys the "soft" version of the tire with the expected tread wear of 10-15 k miles. Unbelievable and totally unacceptable. The car's a little over a year old and I have to buy new tires at 10K miles...Oh and the turbo stinks...way too loud. NEVER AGAIN!!!
Approaching the worst experience ever
My husband and I just bought a 2019 Grand Cherokee Limited with 20,000 miles on it. Second day owning it, it got stuck in 4 wheel drive low and was towed to a dealership. It's been over a week and while it's under warranty, the transfer case will be 2 to 3 weeks before coming for repair and still no loaner car. We make calls every day that are not returned or we get a different story with every person we talk to with Chrysler. While the Kernsersville, NC Jeep Dealership secretary is very pleasant, we are getting no where and the inconvenience is beyond words as we are down a car, a huge problem with a sales territory and a school administrator in the family. No idea if the vehicle is any good or not! It's stuck in a garage and I'm stuck without a car! Say no to all things Chrysler or Jeep if this is their customer service!
Worst mistake buying this car
I bought my 2019 jeep Cherokee with 28,000 miles in October 2019 two months later my car was without any type of oil and since then it’s been a hassle a very frustrating situation jumping from dealer to dealer because nobody wants to help you they have already replaced yes I said replace my whole engine because it was wrong and still with the same problem oil just disappears after not even 1000 miles I’ve been calling the dealer and calling the headquarters and nobody is willing to help this was the worst mistake I’ve ever done thinking that a jeep Cherokee was going to be a good buy for me and my family it’s only been headaches and frustration countless trips to the dealer so do yourself a favor and do not buy a Chrysler vehicle

Trailhawk pretty but disappointing
I purchased my 2019 hydro blue Trailhawk with the sports package in 2018. Such a beautiful vehicle. I invested in the extended 100,000 bumper to bumper warranty with all of the add-ons. I wanted to make sure this car would last. My first and biggest complaint is that Jeep has refused to honor the warranty on two occasions, for things that are obviously defects. First, my kids fingerprints are all over my car exterior paint and won't come off. The dealer tried to "buff them out" to no avail. When i submitted a request to have it fixed under my warranty, they refused saying it wasn't a manufacturers defect. It's easy to see these prints weren't the result of any extra residue. It's just fingerprints. Very obvious fingerprints. Secondly, my windshield developed a long wavy crack that extends across the bottom of the window. A very smooth line with no apparent starting point. I noticed it after a night of extremely cold temps. So i assume it occurred due to the cold. Not covered. It's pretty clear to me at this point that the warranty isn't ever going to pay for anything. Pretty shocking. Adding to this major annoyance, the car only performs "okay". I've also noticed the jerking when shifting gears that others have mentioned. The first thing i didn't like was the "fit" of the seat tilt. You can't adjust it to tilt down enough to be comfortable (have read many complaints on this). The steering wheel adjusts up/down and in/out but does not tilt. The cup holder placement is very awkward for using a mobile phone cup holder (basically you can't). Hate that you can't enter nav info while in motion. Won't even let the passenger do it. I would not call it a smooth ride, but it's not bad. The AC works great but really needs more than just ONE vent blowing air to the back. These are all little annoyances I could learn to live with if I felt Jeep was treating me with the respect I deserve. I'm a veteran and have always been loyal to American brands. But I'll never purchase another Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge product again. I'll be trading this car in for something else. Maybe a Subaru.
