I bought this XJ 6 on E bay in Chicago and drove it home, the car was incredibly comfortable , 25 MPG on the trip, silky smooth to drive , and a joy to own. It had 82000 miles on it when purchased and now has 108000 .The battery is the only thing i have changed, it was the original battery from new. It is still a joy to drive. I do preventative maintenance and take care of scheduled service, this is my 5th Jag, I have owned Mercedes and BMW , all were problem cars , My Jags have been reliable and wonderfull to drive. They are very exclusive cars.

Hands Down Best Used Jaguar

Purchased new off the Dealer Lot in 1995. Since then she has travled 114,095 miles. There are ZERO problems with the car...starts first time, every time. The Auto shifts like a bullet, and the A/C still blows VERY chilled air.

1995 Jag XJ6 Naturally Aspirated

Some think the reliability for these older series Jags is not great. Most things are this way if they are mistreated or neglected. From my own experience in the past year, mine is a powerhouse! The engine is such a strong well vibrating one. It is an inline format engine so, that actually is better for vibrations and other mechanical noise compared to a V format. Mine still needs TLC. Not everything is excellent yet ( as far as repairs go). The rear shocks are bad yet still is a buttery smooth ride. I find most components not difficult to change yourself. Mainly the routine maintenance and sensors. The 4-speed Auto with Overdrive Transmission is a good one. I would like to upgrade to a 6 speed Auto or maybe a modern 8 speed Auto if able to without changing too much computer reprogramming or wire harness. Fuel Economy It is equal to or slightly better than my 2006 Chevrolet Impala. Travelling 80 Mile while flooring up to near 120 MPH at times only 1/8th tank consumed from Full. (Premium Unleaded Fuel Only) Stopping Power is great for being the OEM setup. I did a road test (0-60) 10.01 seconds best so far. It stopped okay for beeing original brake system. The Engine is rated at 245 HP which is less due to restriction I think from something I read. Brake HP is at according to Torque Pro, Max (not average) 375 BHP at 4000 something RPM. I will do a Dyno Test to confirm this calculation. The build quality of the exterior is excellent for being almost 25 years old. The interior is good quality also. The seating I am comfortable driving. Yet, I would fall asleep in the rear as a passenger. Te headroom in rear bad. I stand 5'6" I reach the headliner. Sitting in rear right side it is still comfortable. You must take into consideration A Jag is a low sports-style vehicle. They are not known to make a rugged off-terrain truck. Jeep me, please! Overall for this specific motion of art, it is a joy to own and drive. Driving in rain weather, mine will handle okay currently yet, I will change braking and suspension in the future.

Love this car

I've owned many high end imports, but the Jag is my all time favorite. What a car. I bought it used with around 60k on it. It has 83k on it and other then replacing tires and changing the oil, it's required zero repairs. Everything works as it should including all electronics. It's deceptively fast and is the best looking car around.

1995 Jaguar XJ6

This is the 3rd Jag I've owned(1976, 1982 and 1995) and by far it is the best one yet. However, it still lags in build quality and performance when compared to the other 4 Infiniti Q45s I have owned. The XJ6 interior is cramped and there is something every month that needs attention and $ to keep it in order. The only reason I am a glutten to this punishment is because there is not a better looking car out there. The car reminds me of an old girlfriend, high maintenace but hotter than hell good looks.
