The jaguar is built so sturdy and elegant. It is fun to drive with great pick-up. The exterior is strong while the interior is pure luxury. I love the high grade of leather and the smooth ride of the car. I think it is the best styled car on the road.

Acceleration problems

Occasionally engine surges dangerously to 6K rpm and tries to drive forward while stopped at stoplight with foot on brake and car in drive. Owners manual suggests putting car in neutral or park when stopping for electric signal. Jaguar cannot tell me why they make this recommendation.

Movin' on Up.....

First imported luxury sedan. Captured by the looks and heritage. Held by the performance and pure enjoyment of the drive. Wife looks good and feels good in this vehicle. The 4.2L has enough power to make this car go. Braking and handling match the power plant. She gets what she wants and I get to have some fun too! Black exterior with charcoal gray interior look exceptional when shined up. Absolutely no regrets. Like a thoroughbred that wants to run all the time. I always feel like I have to hold her back. The car I mean.

This is one car we may keep for a long time. The design and engineering are timeless. It is amazing on how many second looks this car gets. We feel very comfortable with the free maintenance program and the dealership we are dealing with makes you really feel that you bought more than just a luxury sedan. We are a little curious why they did not iclude any type of door body side moulding to protect the car for any mishaps that generally will occur at any number of parking lots, which this car will be vulnerable to.

Jag lives up to Powers high reatings

I am pleased with this Euro luxury sedan. I think the recent high Powers ratings are fully justified on the basis of fit and finish and quality. I like this car much better than the last BMW 530. It is smoother and I believe the 6 speed transmission is incredible. I planned to get a v8 but after driving the v6 I decided that the slight performance difference was just not worth $7k more. The dealer then admitted that they dont really push the v8 as the 3.0 does very well. At 80 this car is virtually silent on the road. Great handling that reflects the German heritage and the German test facility. I am pleased with this car and I believe I got a great deal from a great dealer.
