dependable ride
This vehicle has always been an enjoyable car to drive. The interior is roomy and after 60,000 milesit has not needed any major repairs. The rodeo drives great in snow. The only things that I would like to have changed is the rough ride and hard head rests.
Only minor problems
I bought mine when it was new in 1995. I've had minor problems with it. Power locks stopped working after 3 years. The windows get stuck if you open them after a rain. Supposedly the seals are tight. Very cold weather the back doors don't like to close unless you lock them, then crawl in back to open from the inside. Most work should be done by a Dealership mechanic, very difficult to fix. Luckily i have patient mechanics. Hydroplanes on icy surfaces (use winter drive if you are in stop and go traffic). All in all it's a very good vahice but a few problems. It's been worth it. Still not bad after 7 years.
Great
I have owned my Isuzu for 5 years and I love it. It has 107000 miles on it and has not required any major repairs. It runs great in the snow and is a very dependable vehicle. Only complaint I have is that it is not that great on gas.
I love it
I had to settle on what to get after some problems so I decided on a Rodeo. Took a chance on one and I got it for a steal, 1995.5 for 4500. It works great and has tons of power. No problems so far and it has 100k miles. Changed to Mobile 1 10w30 and started hearing a ticking in the engine, I think they all have this succeptibility. It has something to do with the small oil pathways to the rocker arm lifters or something. Anyways it's not a big problem and doesn't hurt the engine. Isuzu says to run 0w 30 mobile 1 through to flush the gunk so the ticking will stop, going to try that with next oil change.
Keeps on ticking
I bought it with 35k and it now has 120k. This truck has been flawless for me. In snow, rain or minor off road use it does the job. We can even sleep in it if the rear seat is removed. The only thing that could be improved is the cup holder.
