Great upgrade from the G37
I just upgraded from my G37-sport, and I love the Q60. This is a better car in every way. I'm not sure why the critics hate this car, because the car is great. The fun factor is through the roof. Don't buy the 2.0t, you will miss the V6 3.0t. I bought the Q60 3.0t base model (msrp$45k) for $7k off. This is the best drivers car under $40k, except for the Mazda Miata.

Mirrors driver side door wind noise
car back to deal. Drove brand new car aerodynamics on the mirrors are terrible like driving in the 1970s Camaro. Also replaced engine with less than 30,000 miles had a leak antifreeze they couldn’t find it no lights went on didn’t overheat replace the turbo‘s first then they replace the engine car has never been the same Transmission shifts terribly now worse than before

Don't be fooled...
I'm literally counting down the days until I turn in this disappointing vehicle. Infiniti has much to learn if it wants to win in the near-luxury field. Yes - the 400 hp is great, it handles ok and brakes fine. The details are sorely lacking and I realize that I've been duped into an overpriced Nissan every single day. Might sound like I'm being hypercritical, but I didn't have one of these issues in my prior BMWs: Poor trunk design allows water to dump directly into the trunk onto what ever you're carrying, and there's no way to avoid it other than to clear the top of the trunk prior to opening. Even the slightest angle. No drain. Two dealers have told me it can't be fixed and is a 'design flaw'. Seatbelt is slightly adjustable at the top base, yet the slightest movement clicks it forward, cutting into my neck. I readjust it - and it snaps right back. I'm 5'8" & average weight and have tried moving the seat up, etc. If I take a hit with the seatbelt in this position, I could be decapitated...seriously. My biggest complaint. Again, dealer said it works as it should and there is no fix. The car also randomly disallows me to unlock. Fresh batteries - remote out - doesn't matter. It just freezes up for minutes. The doors rattle and vibrate from any bass whatsoever, since a week after I took delivery. I'd expect this in a standard Chevy or KIA but not in a car of this price & supposed quality. Dealer said that I should try lowering the bass. By now you're getting the sense of the appallingly low quality of customer satisfaction provided by #1 Cochran Infiniti in Wexford, PA. Incidentally, they wet wash your car post-service and expect you to dry it...BMW and Mercedes - never. Definitely didn't expect perfection - just expected better for the brand and the money. 360 days and I'm out.

70K Engine Failure
The evening of April 17th, 2022, I started experiencing an issue with my vehicle. My car started making a fluttering noise it sounded like someone was shuffling a deck of cards and the RPMs would get to 3 during acceleration then drop and I’d lose power. There were no warning lights present, no notification or indicators on my dash, no odors, and no smoke emitting from my car. I parked my car at home not knowing what the issue was or where the noise was coming from. The next morning, I called to schedule an appointment and I booked with Infiniti in Timonium. After scheduling my appointment, I went out to check my car and when I started it the noise was still there. It ran for a few seconds then my check engine light cut on. Looking to get a pre-diagnosis to have additional info about the condition of my car I take it to Autozone on liberty road to have codes pulled. The codes that came back were P0014 and P0024 both camshaft codes. However, there were still no other symptoms of odor or smoke just the fluttering noise and now my check engine light. On the way back home my car stalls at Liberty Road and Rolling Road and won’t cut back on. I contacted AAA and had it towed to Infiniti the same day. I was assigned to Sean Bonnie as my service advisor. The car was at Infiniti in Timonium for close to a month when Sean reached out to notify me of the presence of sludge and metal shavings in my oil pan and my engine being seized. He was adamant that it came from a lack of maintenance. I was using my third-party warranty and they requested that I send proof of maintenance. I submitted my maintenance invoices to Sean, and he forwarded them to my Warranty Company. I provided invoices for my last 3 oil changes because I wasn’t due for a fourth for another 6-700 miles. I bought my car at 35,796 miles and I’m currently at 70,042 (42 miles out of the power train warranty). My warranty company requested a tear down to determine what caused my engine to seize so that they could determine if the cause of failure was something my extended warranty covers. Sean stated that Infiniti refused the tear down because they didn’t want to tie up one of their bays that long to perform the tear down which would be at my expense if my warranty doesn’t cover it. I agreed that if they did decide to tear it down, I would accept liability for the tear down because I was confident, that the failure was due to a manufacturer defect or a malfunction because my maintenance was done on the manufacturers outlined intervals. Infiniti still refused. During the time I worked with Infiniti I requested photos of the contents of my oil pan, Sean advised no pictures were taken of the contents of my oil pan and according to my warranty company there was no mention of the metal shavings. After reaching out to consumer affairs to express my concerns with how this case was being handled and not receiving any type of assistance, I went to Infiniti to have my car towed to a mechanic to have it torn down. Once I arrived, they presented me with a $3,000 invoice for diagnostics (dropping the oil pan) that they didn’t provide me any documentation of showing what they discovered to accurately diagnose what caused my engine to seize. Nationwide allowed me to take my car without paying for the diagnostic fee since we agreed that the problem couldn’t have been properly diagnosed without removing and inspecting the engine. I followed Infinitis 10k maintenance schedule, it killed my car and they refuse to assist.2023 update still fighting with everybody and their mom about this bum ass engine.

PAINT DEFECTIVE
Paint defective on 2017 Infinity Q 60. Took it to the autobody manager at the dealer he said Infinity has had issues with the paint not curing properly. Paint is soft., I have 15,000 miles and big chips out of the paint on the hood due to road driving. Never had this ever with any other sports car I have owned. Ive had cars with over 100,000 miles on them and they didnt look this bad. My Q60 paint is Royal blue. Recently had a bug on the paint hood for 2 days it sat on the hood, No way to get the stain off the paint. Tried multiple polishes, McGuires, etc. I just sold my sons Mitsubishi eclipse with bright red paint. Its a sports car over 100,000 miles the hood looks better than this infinity. The dealer wont cover the paint issue. Warranty or not. If you buy an infinity get the plastic wrap on it. I wish I had. Im getting rid of it. Never again will I buy an infinity - the paint is substandard crap quality. I traded in a Ford explorer for this car the paint was better.
