Cheap used car, great ride
Bought this car one year ago from the first owner with 210.K mkiles. Changed valve cover gaskets, very easy, not like in other V6, and just last week changed the front brake pads. Great Bose sound, Needs to use 93 Octane gas but I get 22 miles/gallon in mixed use. Some control like the on/off for the cruise is hiding behind the steering wheel as well as the dash lights control but other that that is a great car. Good to buy used for they do not keep much the value. It's a great car.

Garch's i30t
I've had the i30t for 4 years and I love it. Two warranty items were a smelly sunshade (whale glue) and a poorly charged battery both replaced free of charge. The battery issue was found and corrected during routine maintenance. I get nearly 30mpg highway and 22 city. I'd like to get a new infiniti, but I love this one too much!

Good, Reliable Car
I bought this car used at a local dealership. I drive 40,000 to 45,000 business miles a year. I service the car regularly. Currently there is 125,000 miles on it. I have replaced the brakes and put new tires on it. Nothing else has needed repaired or replaced. I get 29 mpg highway, and 20 city. The ONLY thing that has not always worked properly is the power antenna. (it does not fully extend) It doesn't seem to effect the reception. I plan to drive another 50,000 then get another. It is not the best car in it's class, but it has to be one of the best values you can get. My wife loves her Acura and wouldn't drive anything else. The same goes for me with the I-30.
will buy another
I bought a 98 i30 with 93000 miles in 2004. As of Aug. 2008 It has 203,000 miles I have not had to do any repairs other than brakes and tires. This is an excellent car. Runs great, and rides even better.
Great compromise car
The I30 is a great compromise car because it does almost everything well. It is VERY reliable (nothing has ever broken after 86,000 miles) it's fast, has a responsive transmission. Gets 27 mpg during freeway commuting. It has plenty of room inside the cabin as well as the trunk. Because of steep depreciation, this is an excellent used car to buy. I'm planning on buying a 2000 shortly. You really can't go wrong with this car! And yes, it is just a fancier Maxima.
