Used 2011 Hyundai Veracruz Consumer Reviews
Not worth the Five stars I gave it in 2010
Just read my 1st review of this car which was written shortly after my purchase. NOW: I will never buy a Hyundai again. So many problems and the "warranty" is a crock. The dashboard squeaks (nails on chalkboard squeak) during operation, took it to the local dealer 5 times to fix with no luck. I took it to a dealer 30 minutes away, and though they have reduced the sound, it still occurs when the fan is running cool air. The cruise control resume button only works intermittently. The techs asked me if I pushed the button properly. Seriously?? The dome light panel failed and was replaced. There is now a popping occurring in the front right tire. They say it all checks out fine. Surprise!
Luxury and economy!
We purchased the 2011 Veracruz over the weekend and so far love it! After driving several other higher end models the comfort and value here outshines even the luxury brands we'd driven. For the feel of driving on a cloud while keeping my budget on the ground, this couldn't be beat!

Like my Ride!
The Veracruz is a very nice car. There is some wind noise at highway speeds, but it's not to the point of being annoying. Just turn up the radio. There's lots of room inside and the interior is well appointed. I've had my 2011 for about 6 months and have had no mechanical gliches at all. I bought it late in the model year, so got a great price from Garber Hyundai in Saginaw, MI.
SAD TO TRADE IN
More important than my review is my wife loved this car more than her 2 Lexus SUV's or her Cadillac SRX. Smooth ride and lots of storage for golf clubs and luggage with 2nd and 3rd row seats down. Sorry to see this model disappear, but strongly considering the Santa Fe. Wonderful dealership (Grayson, Knoxville, TN)

Toyota Highlander Convert
Only had it for one week & less than 500 miles, but enjoy the quiet ride and luxury touches. Plenty of room, power is decent, mileage is better than posted on sticker, very comfortable. Had some rear end noise...fixed that with a $5 can of undercoat. Paint, interior 7 exterior joints are good...seems to be built well. Never thought that I would buy a Hyundai after owning 3 Highlanders, pleasantly surprised!
Love this car!
I bought this car to be able to transport my large family and have space for luggage and other things I needed to move. I am very happy that this car was able to meet all my needs.

Best SUV I've Ever Owned
I'm a previous 4Runner & Sequoia owner. No more Toyota's in my future. I purchased the Veracruz and Sonata in August. Wife drives the Sonata, and I drive the Veracruz. I love it! Took it on a trip from Illinois to Oklahoma and was thoroughly pleased. Extremely comfortable ride.
2011 Hyundai Veracruz, Worst car I ever bought.
I bought a new 2011 Veracruz limited and very shortly after I got it I started having problems. The brakes would make a very loud grinding and knocking sound, that is a safety hazard. The stereo system was not nearly good enough to pay the extra money for that upgrade. This car was taken back to Hyundai 5 times to get the brakes fixed. Hyundai sent a factory rep to look at the problem. This rep would not even take a wheel off to look at the brakes. All they would say is this is normal. I own another Vercruz and drove others and this is not normal. Hyundai never would fix the brakes. I had to get rid of the car before we had a wreck due to brake failure. I would not recommend this car.
Love this car
I bought my new Veracruz in November 2010. Since then I have driven this car all over. I have had minor things go wrong like a tail light go out. I have also had the problem with the oil leak killing the alternator, the dealership fixed it. I now have 199,000 miles on it and it is still going strong. I thought about selling it but it runs and looks so good I can't. I have been a Hyundai fan since my first Hyundai. In 1988 I bought an Excel four door hatchback and put over 100,000 miles on it. Since that car I have always owned a Hyundai. I worked my up from the Excel to the Elantra, Sonata, Azera, Santa Fe, Veracruz, and also bought an Accent for my son. I may have been lucky with my Hyundai's because I have always had good luck with them. I take very good care of my cars/trucks. Thank you Hyundai.

Great Mid-Size SUV
Handles well, in town driving is 17-19 MPG, highway 22. MPG could be better, but I am an aggressive driver. Lots of cargo room with third row seats folded down. Third row seating is not comfortable for adults, but my tweens have no problem. This vehicle has a lot to offer as standard equipment, whereas, other more costly vehicles, you'll have to pay for extras.
