Technology
Make sure you are getting all the technology that you want. I bought a CPO model and was expecting more but was a base model and I did not ask enough questions. I test drove the Tucson but found with further driving the drivers seat is too low my height and must use a seat cushion.

4WD TUSCAN LIMITED
This is my second Tuscan . My first was a 2014 and it broke my heart to give it up. I have had 4 Runners prior and sold my last one in the gas crunch and bought a Jetta. Six months later I sold that. Now this is not normal for me, but my life style demanded more room. In the Jetta I would have plants in front/back/truck areas - it just did not work for a gardener at heart. Well I knew I wanted back into an SUV and was on my way home from the grocery store and stopped to get a brochure. My groceries had to be moved to my new Tuscan Limited. I commute over an hour each way to work so in 4 years there were 60,000 miles on it. I started in December 2017 thinking about replacing it. At that time I would only look at the Tuscan Limited. Well my mechanic told me it would go for an easy 100,000 miles so happily I put off buying another car. Then July rolls around - car is still running great - not one problem between March 2014 and July 2018 and I loved my car. It was the end of month and the new 2019's were due to come out in a couple months. This was the time to deal or wait another year. So one Saturday with my research on the Honda CSV and Tuscan Limited I struck out to look. You know what is sitting in my garage now? The Tuscan Limited 4WD - and I am in love all over again. In the four years between the two cars so much more safety has been added plus little things like a heated steering wheel - I know, but those winters can be cold. My seats have a cooling thing for Texas summers even! My son brought up all of the SUVs in the same size and basic design - Hyundai Tuscan Limited was still my pick. I talked to a man who had a REALLY old Tuscan - he was well over the 100,000 mile mark and was still in love with his car. Of course being a smart man he offered to trade me and was willing to let me continue to make the payments. I really had to think about it for one second and turned him down. The next week what was sitting in the parking lot at work - he had also bought a new Tuscan Limited - HOWEVER he told me he still had his old one. Once he told his wife about all the advancements she decided a new one was for them also.

Unsafe 2018 Tucson
This car suddenly loses all power on the highway. It completely shuts itself off (or loses all power) forcing you to get it off to side of road. A few minutes later power comes back on by itself. Huge safety issue!! It also will not start some mornings. Car is kept outside. Few minutes later it will start. We replaced car fob batteries. Have taken in to dealer after each issue. They cannot find anything wrong. Do not buy this car. If you are driving on highway and it suddenly loses all electrical power it could cause an accident.
Disappointed
I thought that buying a Hyundai Tucson would provide me with a better driving experience that it has. I bought a 2018 model back in May of 2018. First of all the reverse camera is extremely low quality. It is blurry at best during daytime and at nighttime practically unusable. The Android Auto keeps disconnecting from my phone. The climate control has a mind of it's own and not very consistent. It much harder on gas than I expected. I have the 1.6 Turbo model. It has a decent ride. The panoramic sunroof is nice. The chances of buying another Hyundai are next to nil.

Anyone having electrical issues???
When I first saw it I loved it and enjoyed driving it. It was a demo with 3000 miles when I purchased it. I have had it 10 months now and I keep experiencing electrical issues. Every time I take it back to the dealership for them to look/diagnose the problem they say they can't find anything wrong with it. The push start hesitates to start the car and I have to keep pushing the button before it starts. The activity screen has failed to turned on and I had to turn the vehicle off and back one to get it back normal. The battery warning came on while I was driving (the same warning you get when the vehicle is on but the engine isn't running). This doesn't happen all the time but it is getting more frequent. I think I just picked the wrong Tucson since I can't find anyone with the same issues as me. I am not sure I would purchase another one just because this is the first Hyundai I've ever bought and it hasn't been a great experience. Please let me know if you or anyone else has these issues....it would greatly appreciated.
