2015 Tuscon Seized Motor

I bought this car in 16 with 24,000, and it was a certified pre-owned, so all warranties were in effect and I spent 2500 for a wrap around warranty up to 120,000 miles thru Hyundai. I have 115,000 miles on the car, mostly highway miles, and my motor seized up in another state from my own on my way home. Always, had all my work done on my car at Hyundai, except a few oil changes when I was on the road. Hyundai at first blamed it on the company that changed my oil. Then 2 days later they said I will still in the good on my oil. No oil light came on when my motor started making knocking noise on the highway. I then pulled over and checked my oil. It said it was full. I got back on the highway and drove 3 miles and the car quit. I was on the side of the road for 3 hours with my road side assistance through Hyundai, and have been paying for a rent a car for 2 weeks. They want to give me a used motor with 12,000 mile warranty or a re-maned motor that I have to partially pay for. I drove a dodge caliber til it had 250,000 miles and no motor blow up. I will never buy another Hyundai and none of my family or friends will either. That is a poor quality vehicle that needs a new motor with 115,000 miles on it. Hyundai should be ashamed of the product they are selling the public. But obviously they are not, because when this does happen to the consumer that bought their product, they do not want to work with you. I have a wrap around warranty to 120,000, and Hyundai does not want to give me a new motor, which they should anyway with no warranty at ,115,000 miles. That is a really bad product, in this day and age, when a motor blows up at 115,000. DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI. YOU WILL BE STUCK LIKE ME WITH A LOT OF MONEY OUT OF YOUR POCKET, AND A BROKE DOWN CAR YOU STILL OWE ON.

The best thing that I did was to shop online. The vehicle was available, the mileage confirmed, and the color confirmed. When I went to the dealer to test drive the car it was waiting for me with my name on it.

Bought mine used with only 12500 miles on it, now up to 25K in 21 months and only problem is rear hatch refuses to lock all the time. Dashboard lights are too dim to see in daylight, even at max adjustment, poor visual design. Sound system not up the standard of my old Santa Fe. Handles well, good gas economy, just not my ideal ride.

I am glad (or not so glad) to see others on here with similar issues. Bought my 2015 Tucson in 2017. Had only 28,500 miles on it so I figured it was newer. Now I can see why it had two previous owners. From day one it had electrical issues. ( Thank God it still had factory warranty left). The AC unit had to be replaced. The fuel gauge regulator was not working and even though I would fill up the take with gas the cheap digital screen said it was empty. They had to take the tank off and replace the sensor. The display screen would black out here and there. The key fob had to be replaced a few times and to this day is not working. In the beginning I would use my key to unlock the doors and then when I tried to start the car the alarm would go off and the car would not start. How stupid is that!!! The inside lights above do not go on when you open the car door. Hard to see inside the car at night. The dealership did their best to try and fix everything for 4 weeks but to this day it still has electrical issues. My guess is, the person/s at the factory must have been hungover from the night before when they put this hunk of junk together. I'm stuck with it but it is a 100% lemon! Will I ever buy a Hyundai again??? LMAO....not in this lifetime or the next!! DON"T BY HYUNDAI CARS!!!!!!!!! Had a nice Kia Soul with over 150,000 miles and not one day of trouble. I will be buying a Kai next time for sure!! Bye Bye Huyndai!!
