2022 Hyundai Sonata SEL Rocks It (Mostly) !
Sharp looks, but it's a love/hate thing with the catfish grill. I particularly like it. Sharp looking car with a lot of extras, given the price. Roomy. I have found the 27-City and 37-Highway to be spot on accurate. Noting, if I am driving 60-65 or so and not 75-80.... My, my. Looking at 45 mpg in that scenario. True Stop/Go the mpg is about 22-28. Good size trunk, nothing spectacular. I will say it would be nice to have a little bit more "kick" when I step on the accelerator. The Sonata-SEL is not slow, but it's most certainly not a Speed Demon by any means.

What an awesome car
I bought the Hyundai Sonata n-line. I am so satisfied with the performance and handling of this car. Only issue I have is the back of the seat is a little more narrow than I would like it to be for me. I’m about 5’11 and weigh 205 so I wouldn’t say I’m fat but a little bigger boned and I feel it’s a tighter fit than I would like. Easy fix is for me to lose some weight lmao. Okay, the car has a lot of power and if you are driving with the all season tired you could easily burn rubber, even when you are driving conservatively. It’s also very low to the ground and if you are okay with that then all is good. I absolutely love the car and all the options. The stereo is really good once you fine tune it. The bass is good and it’s loud. More than enough for the average driver. The light are absolutely amazing while nite driving. Very bright and make you feel confident driving at night. All the safety features are amazing from lane assist to blind spot monitoring is great. It’s just a phenomenal car and when you are in it, it feels solid and eager to move. When I say it’s fast it’s FAST.

Buyer Beware
I leased a 2023 Hyundai Sonata in December 2022 and have had major problems with the engine. The first engine failure occurred at 1,600 miles and was towed to a dealership. The car was bucking and lost engine power so I couldn’t drive. They diagnosed a faulty fuel injector. The same thing happened at 8100 miles and this time we were on the highway and almost hit from behind before we could pull off the road. We were towed to a Hyundai dealership where they replaced a second faulty fuel injector. We afraid to take this unsafe car on the road for fear this could happen again. Even driving locally is very troublesome, and we take 500 mile road trips so taking this car on the highway is out of the question because another failure could happen at any time and we could be stuck far away from home. We called Hyundai Consumer Affairs and they told us that since the car was repaired there was nothing more they could do for us. I would not recommend this car to anyone that needs a safe and reliable car.
Fancy but with safety in mind!
Fully loaded with so many features.. but my favorites are the heads up display, blind spot camera, the MyHundai app, the locator option, lane assist and the many safety features with visual warnings/reminders.

Soon a lemon
Leased a 2022 Sonata at the end of October. I wanted the color combination and they had one on the showroom floor. I wanted a 2023 but they didn't have it. It was brand new with only a few miles. In January with only 2,000 miles, the car started to die while driving it. It was choking and stalling. I managed to get it started and made it home when it died completely. Had it towed. The car was there for 3 weeks. They finally said that they fixed it. Now the same thing happened again. Had it towed on Friday night and still waiting to hear from the dealership. It is an extremely dangerous thing to happen when you are driving a car and it just dies on you in the middle of a major intersection. I want a new car.
NIGHT EDITION
I went from a 2019 Limited 2,0 t. Wow,what a difference..UPDATE...HYUNDAI SAYS THE N-LINE GETS 33MPG HWY.I TOOK THE CAR ON A 336 MILE TRIP,ONE WAY,AVERAGE MPG WAS 38.4.THIS WAS INCREDIBLE,AND STILL HAD A HALF A TANK OF GAS LEFT.THIS CAR ONLY HAS A 15.7 GALLON GAS TANK !! ON THE RETURN TRIP,GOT 38.3,AND HAD A HALF TANK..GRANTED,THIS CAR IS JUST OVER 7 MONTHS OLD,AND HAD 1800 MILES BEFORE THE TRIP,AND I USE 91 OCTANE GAS
