Dual Clutch Transmission Failure
Our 2015 Hyundai started having transmission issues just before 30,000 miles. We took our Sonata to the Hyundai Service Center 6 times over a year because of shuddering with acceleration, engine RPM revving but not engaging when in gear, Almost stalling when accelerating. All the while being told "It functions as it was designed to" with no repairs other than updating the software and being sent on our way for it to happen over and over again. Then finally we learned the 2015 Hyundai Sonata Eco was part of a class-action lawsuit because of the dual-clutch failure. Thinking it would finally be fixed, we were wrong. The lawsuit allowed Hyundai to buy back the vehicle if you bought a new Hyundai, or pay a small compensation if you sold it privately. I will never own another Hyundai.

Keep away......here my warnings
This car is the MOST UNreliable car I've owned in over 40 years!!! This thing has standed me hundreds of miles from home TWICE in two years!! First, Fayetteville NC...fuel injectors...gone! A twenty something kid b/sing me ..."oh yeah parts are on the way ..tomorrow ...NOT!! 5 lovely days ....hotel meals and lots of $$$$. Hyundai did reimbursed me $290.. Out of the $700+ it cost me to interrupt my trip......THIS time I'm in Boston 1500 miles from home and the crank shaft seal goes...oil all over!!! I thought Fayetteville was bad! Boston IS very expensive to have to stay around! $$$$$. Parts to fix the car.?...I'm 7 days into this...."MAYBE end of the week...MAYBE first of next week!!!! I'm sure Hyundai will reimburse me their standard $300 for 3 days! I'm into this problem over a grand now...and they're fixing the car for free!! What a piece of JUNK!!! Update: 8 weeks later!!! Yes I said 8 weeks!!! The car was finally fixed. I left it in Boston and rented a car back home. Hyundai did reimburse the rental The time wasted flying back and forth...Got a oh yeah ..too bad!! This car is a piece of junk!! Very unreliable!!!

Feeling Mislead
Never again, Hyundai. I chose this car over the Camry and Accord based on the ride and rich set of features that were advertised with it. The Blue Link option was what tipped me over the edge in going the Hyundai. It's been three months since I bought the car and I've found that some of those Blue Link options were just vaporware...items that were advertised, but never materialized. Things like Geo Fencing and Valet and Speed Alert, which were prominently advertised when I bought the car are still not available in my car and no longer appear on Hyundai's marketing site.
