Nice car overall, but quality lacking
I have owned my 2006 Elantra for 3 years now (approx 50,000 miles on it), and I am the original owner. Overall, the car is nice, comfortable and economical. However, quality has been a disappointment. When I first bought the car the headlights were aimed too low, and the steering wheel had a vibration at highway speeds. Several months later, the armrest cover material peeled off, and I noticed the passenger airbag light stays on when a fairly lighter adult passenger is seated in the seat. The weight sensor is a bit out of spec I believe. Most recently, the CD player broke. Overall, I'd buy a Honda or Toyota...for a little more money, you get much better quality/resale value.
Anon Review
This has been a wonderful car so far. Everything about it is great...it rides smooth, looks great and is very comfortable. Best car I've had in years.

I luv my Elantra!
Great car - cheap as hell to buy, own, and operate. We have 20K miles on in now - and we may not need to buy another car for a decade.
First Hyundai
This is our first Hyundai, and I have been very impressed. The ride is so smooth and quiet. Also, it is enjoyable to both drive and/or be a passenger in this vehicle because it is very comfortable. We have been shopping the market for some time now and this was the best vehicle we found for the money!
MY evaluation is 7.8 just like 05-04 Ela
06 hyundai Elantra has been a good car I am averaging better than 26 miles per gallon/32 Hiway 17 city. No problems I have my reservations because it has taken Hyundai 20 years to make excellent cars Koreans along with the Japanese quality is approximately 11 problems per car. Hyundai Kia were tied for twelvth J.D. Power survey for initial quality. The top third of 36 manufacturers with and industry average 125 problems per car(industry ave)
