My second Accent.
This is my second accent. A lot of leg room. I'm 6 ft tall. Great gas mileage. Recommend.

Amazingly good for a small, low priced car
I drove one of these as a rental car 3000 miles last month, so most of the driving was highway. I was very impressed. Plenty comfortable, quiet, plenty powerful enough to hop on to freeways, and I was able to pack a LOT of my possessions into the trunk -- it's big. Nice looking on the outside, nice looking interior and very nicely designed controls. Averaged around 42mpg on the trip -- incredible. I'd buy one, but for two fatal flaws, IMHO: 1. Gets tossed around on highways a bit too much -- grooves in the road, and wind, can knock you around. But I guess it depends on how much highway driving you intend to do. Not very common to drive 3,000 miles. 2. Side view mirrors are too small. I thought that was a safety hazard, not being able to see enough for lane changes. It's a shame, because the car has so much going for it.

Fun and Stylish Ride Packed with Option Goodness!
Great headroom for a small car and well-thought-out ergonomics regarding the set-up of many option controls. I loved the 2019 model so much that I bought the 2020, as well. Pretty much the exact same vehicle except for the wireless phone charging pad and Pomegranate Red Metallic! Very pretty!

Great CAR!
The outside noise isn't terrible, just remember it is a tinier car so some noise is expected, with the radio on its not even noticeable! Great Gas Mileage

Amazing
I have averaged 39.5 mpg with my best tank of gas achieving 46 mpg. For basic transportation I am impressed with the quality build & quietness of this car. The CVT is more direct than my previous Toyota Corolla which had a rubber band feel to it. The Ease of entry & exit better than a Toyota Camry which has less head room. The warranty best in North America, 10 years or 100,000 mile power train warranty. The SEL comes with the larger 7" info screen, 4 wheel disk brakes, tilt & telescoping steering wheel, center arm rest & heated mirrors. 15" Alloy wheels instead of steel wheels with hub caps. If you must have a sun roof you will need to step up to the Limited model. There is Now dual port injection instead of direct gas injection. This eliminates intake manifold carbon issues, as dual port fuel injectors keep those intake valves clean. Also NO turbo-charger to fail. The worlds first CVVD "Continous Variable Valve Duration" which took 9 years to develope and increased fuel efficincy. The attention to detail in this car is much better than expected. The car is very tight & very quiet inside. I was so impressed after renting an Accent from Alamo, I returned home & bought one.

Accents forever.
This is a very reliable small car. I've been driving them since 1998. Usually regular oil changes and normal wear and tear items are all thats needed. Good on gas- nice looking- what more do you need. It gets you where you want to go and you don't have to spend a fortune to own one.

Very Dependable! Excellent Fuel Economy!
I purchased my 2021 Hyundai Accent in February 2021. I have had no issues with the car at all. Almost 12K miles and no issues!! This car does exactly what I bought it for. It gets great gas mileage and is very dependable. I have driven it from Florida to Maine. On the way to Maine one tank of gas actually averaged 50MPG. I have not been able to duplicate that mileage but usually get in the upper 30s to low 40s MPG around town. No regrets whatsoever in purchasing this vehicle. I traded in a fully loaded 2006 Cadillac DTS for this car and even though this car is not nearly as luxurious it more than makes up for it in dependability and fuel economy. ** Update almost 2 years and 26,000 miles into owning this car and all is still great. I have only been to the dealer for scheduled maintenance. There was one recall having to do with the seatbelts but they took care of it when they changed the oil. Too bad Hyundai quit making this car I would have considered trading it in on a new one once the warranty expires.

Little Car Saved my Life
I was hit by a SUV that was going 50 miles per hour while I was stopped and waiting to turn left. I was flung into oncoming traffic and miraculously survived in my tiny safe car. All praise to God! I do recommend this little gas saving- lifesaving vehicle!!

Not like my 2016
This new car, is like a cracker box, rides ruff, your can hear every sound in and outside the car. There is no console between the seats like my 2016,when you back up the radio goes wonky. When it rains water gets between the door and the frame and it has frozen all 4 of my doors shut

I bought a 2020 Hyundai Accent Ultimate hatchback
In Canada, we were able to get the 5-door 2020 Hyundai Accent Ultimate. It came with all the options you'd want in a inexpensive, yet sporty, sub-compact car. It actually has a nicer design than the 5-door 2020 Elantra GT, but admittedly has less power than the Elantra GT N-Line lol

Ridiculous
I have a 2020 accent that I surrendered back to my financial credit union. Insurance companies won't insure it for less than 750.00 a month, because of the anti thief. It was taken in for 2 recalls and still can't get Insurance. So I will never buy another one.
best value for your money
I needed a reliable transportation with the basic updated amenities. This car won at 19K MSRP, 22K out the lot, 5 year warranty by manufacturer, 3 years of services included, and most importantly for now days: super low miles per gallon.

Ok for the price but very poor quality and service
You will have endless problems with the Accent, but it does start and run 98% of the time. Electrical system is very bad. There are no features in the car but the dome light, radio, and other things will work sometimes and the car alarm goes off for no reason. Hyundai service is the worst on earth and you WILL have endless trouble with them taking days to do anything and lying to you about lots of things. Sideview mirror lens fell out after 3 months and Hyundai wants $600 to repair after having the Accent in service for 4 days! Biggest issue is the transmission. It fails 15% - 20% of the time, so you have a 1 in 5 chance your transmission will go out. The shifts are rough and the engine revs high anytime you accelerate. You will regret the Accent if you have ANY problem, and you will have problems.

Shifty Nightmare
For what it was, it was a good car. Great gas mileage, completely ho hum and forgettable. Exactly why I chose a 6sp (only avail on lowest trim model) which sacrificed a lot of driving aids and safety features. The six speed in this Hyundai might be the worst manual transmission in the world. Very rough shift and letting the clutch out doesn’t mean it’s engaged. It chooses when to engage almost picky. Difficult to shift and nearly EVERY GEAR grinds. I have driven manual transmission vehicles all of my life and in a few short months that I had this car I stalled it twice as many times as I stalled every other card ever going to combined

Reliable car you can depend on!
Bought this car new. It drives reasonably well, pretty easy and cheap to maintain relative to other cars. Spare parts are readily available. My confidence in this car started after a successful 1,200 km non-stop trip with no issues. My only advise to help prolong the health of this car would be to change the oil and oil filter every 2,500 km and not the recommended 5,000 km Hyundai mentions.
Very good for the buck!
I’ve had this car for over a year now and I gotta say I am very more than please for what you get for under 20k! It’s great on gas, I’ve averaged 51mpg on the highway btw! I wouldn’t say it’s very fast, but it’s very quick for a car that has 120hp. Great on road trips, overall just a very good vehicle. Handles like charm and the winter time was a breeze for this car! No complaints whatsoever!:)

T-bone Accident - Surprisingly Tough
I bought this car a little less than a year ago after having my car totaled when I was rear ended. I didn’t “want” this car. I just needed to get a dependable and affordable car while we paid off my husband’s new car. I didn’t like how small it was and worried about another accident in such a tiny car…especially since I’m often driving my 9-year old. This past Thursday, as I entered an intersection with a green light, a Nissan Altima ran their red and appeared in front of me. I was going about 40 mph and had no time to brake or do anything except slightly turn my wheel in a fruitless attempt to dodge the obstacle. As I was about to hit, all I could think was, “this is gonna be bad”. However, all parties were fine. No injuries! I have a seatbelt bruise and some soreness, but that’s it. My airbag turned off right after we bought it and we had never taken it in to be fixed, so it didn’t deploy. A fault in this car, but it didn’t affect the outcome, so I’m grateful it won’t add to the repair bill. I couldn’t open my driver door due to the front panel being slightly pushed in. However, when I climbed out of the passenger door and looked at the front of the car I was so surprised! The front on the driver’s side took the brunt of the damage since I had slightly turned my wheel at the last second. The front bumper(?) is torn up and cracked in several places. The hood, side panel, and front metal piece are bent and dented. The driver side headlight is scuffed and the grill is in pieces. The radiator and some other front parts are damaged, but in no way does it look like I was in a t-bone accident. The car was still drivable to get home (though running hot due to radiator), and the front end doesn’t look like a crushed soda can like most cars you see after a similar impact. Maybe it’s because it was two sedans involved, or maybe it’s because I was only going 40 mph, but all I know is, this little car held up extremely well!!! Shockingly well! Suddenly all the fears I had when buying such a small car, seem null and void. This little thing is tougher than she looks! Hard to review much else since I’ve only had it for a year, but so far, so good. She runs smooth and is such an easy car to drive. I would recommend this as an affordable and dependable option. Or for a a new driver.

Great car for the price point.
Bought one of the last Accents ever made since they are discontinuing the Accent after 2022. The dealer said I got one of the last two Accents in Michigan. This car is actually the first car I've driven extensively so I have nothing to compare to really. All I can say is, with the 'sport' mode this car has some giddy up and go. In town driving averages 30-40mpg and highway driving has gotten up to 48mpg so far. Very quiet, sometimes forget it's running. This vehicle is not for people who want a lot of tech, there is no GPS but the car does connect to any smartphone. This is not a flashy car as far as tech and features but is solidly built and drives like a dream. Have had it a year already and no needed repairs, very minimal maintenance. If you are looking for something inexpensive, simple, safe, dependable, and with good gas mileage, this is your car.
