No Doubts
Positives: 1) Very comfortable 2) Outstanding steering & suspension 3) Visibility was a concern, but is fine (I am 5'11") 4)MPG is no worse than any other full-size SUV. I use full synthetic oil, nitrogen in tires, and radial force balance. I get a legit 20MPG if I keep speed no higher than 65 MPH. Contemplating performance intake & exhaust. 4) After rebates & GM supplier discount, it was the same price as many small SUV wannabes. 5) After 8 months and 6,000 miles, it has not been in the shop even once. Needs Improvement: 1) The only area of dissatisfaction is the clunky 5-speed manual. With a smooth-shifting 6-speed manual and 10-20 higher on HP and torque, this would be an awesome machine.
Fun On and Off-Road
This is a fun car to drive and not to mention the looks I get barreling down the road in my bright red 2007 H3. Off- road the H3 is equally impressive and handles great. All in all, I would say I am very pleased with my decision to go with the H3 over the Tahoe, 4- runner, or jeep grand cherokee. It is a far better buy. You get more options for less money as compared to all the other SUV's in its class. I would strongly reccomend going to your local dealer and have them take you on the obstacle course to show you just some of the things the H3 can do. If that doesn't convince you to go with the H3 over the tahoe or other SUV's then I dont know what will.

Wat a great vehicle!
The Hummer has been great, it is built like a rock. I would highly recommend it. We were looking at getting a truck and I'm very glad we got this it beat it way in price and in gas mileage! its sweet!! And u get noticed in a bright red HUMMER got to love it!!!
My Jeep with More Seats
I have only owned my H3 for about a month but have already used it off- road and hwy driving. It is the most fun vehicle I have ever driven and to date as capable as my Jeep Wrangler that I had to trade. There are not many H3's in rural NE which makes it even more fun when you park it and everyone once to come get a look. I gave up cleaning the side windows for now due to the finger prints that always appear when I return. Fun to drive, fun to look at and capable of true offroad performance is what sets this apart from other vehicle in its class.
Great present!
I got my 2007 H3 in May of 2007, as a gift from my parents, for my high school graduation. I started following the H3 when they were introduced in 2005, and wanted one right away. It pulls my boat fine, but I sort of wish I would have waited and got the Alpha, as the 5 cyl. don't have the juice that a 5,000 lb. vehicle needs. (especially going from a 3/4 ton Silverado, to this) I will probably get an H2 next for the additional pulling power and room. Overall though, this is a wonderful vehicle and is an absolute joy to drive, all for under $40,000.
