2023 Honda Ridgeline is "Just Right" for most

Life long American "Big Truck" owner here but life has just changed for the better. At 57yrs young with a 100 mile work commute through the Appalachian Mountains of Central PA and a very active lifestyle (hunting, fishing, hiking, DIY'er). My last "big", "real" truck (Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi) was breaking my bank...primarily gas mileage & the fact it was 11yrs old w/ high miles (again, commute) w/ rust starting in many places. The Ram Hemi served me well & I have no complaints. I've had previous Rams, GMC's and Chevy's that also received high mileage & years also serving me well. So, I researched the crap outta mid sized trucks for months w/ the Ridgeline checking the most blocks. I purchased my new 2023 Ridgeline Sport two months ago. I'm not a big gadget/comfort guy when it so no higher trim needed. With that said, the Sport has more gadgets, comfort & safety features than I've ever had. At 5,000 miles today I'm not disappointed with this truck. It has plenty of (realistic) power, plenty of realistic payload and bed space and plenty of realistic towing capacity. Yes, I USE my truck as a TRUCK often yet rarely, in the past, towed over 5,000lb...rarely loaded my bed beyond 1,500lb & never "Off-Roaded" (only dirt roads/trails leading to hunting or fishing spots...NO ROCK CLIMBING!). Thus, the Ridgeline will ft my bill perfectly. The added bonus(s) has been 23mph combined (although, as noted, alotta highway), in-bed lockable trunk &&&... I can place 4x8 sheets (plywood/wallboard) flush to the bed floor!!! AND...like Toyota...this puppy should should last me years and 100's of thousands of miles! 1 negative is the quirky factory radio, annoying!!! Needs to b either fixed or changed as does not work right too often! In the end, no regrets during this short term and I recommend for must light truck owners.

Love this truck. Had an 06 Ridgeline, did me well, looks like they addressed the valve tick that was common on these engines.Way more comfortable then the Gladiator I traded on her.

We sold our Chevy 2019 3500 Diesel as we no longer needed it. Instead of waiting for the 2023 Colorado to be released, we decided to look at the Ridgeline. After the 1st test drive, we knew this was our new vehicle. It already had the tonneau cover and all the amenities and safety features that we wanted at a very good price point. It is so comfortable, AWD is great especially in the snow, it trailered our boat with no issues and the fit and finish is awesome. We have never had a Honda before and already know we won't be looking at buying a chevy in the future. We love this vehicle!

I love this truck , it does everything I need to it do and more . It’s just the right size for me . Big enough bed , love the lockable storage in the back. Edmunds rates it 8.5 out of 10 … check any OTHER cars on their site see what their ratings are . Not many get that high of ratings . It’s a comfortable, drives great ,carries everything I need ..and is solid ..

This is my second Honda Ridgeline first was a 2020 now I got 2023. I have read countless comments about the Ridgeline not being a real pickup truck but the real thing is that after 8 or 12 hours of work I get on my Ridgeline and drive back home comfortable like I am driving a Cadillac or any other costliest car.
