Very Happy
Very happy with purchased the Pilot. Went into the dealer thinking we'd prefer a CRV, but after driving the Pilot, are extremely satisfied with our decision to upgrade. Did LOTS of research.
11,000 miles later...
I purchased this vehicle 9/06, and have put 11,000 miles since. I was in the market for an all-weather vehicle that could carry 4 adults plus gear on an all-day road trip in comfort, and the Pilot has performed that role beautifully. Others have complained about road noise, but I have found it quite reasonable on many long days. If this is a concern for you, do a freeway test drive and decide for yourself. The NAV system works pretty well -not perfect, but good (disclaimer - I have NOT read the entire, lengthy manual for it) but sometimes the routing is quirky. I have averaged just under 20 MPG combined.

Love it
we love this car- great layout inside, plenty of room even with the 3rd row up. Even I have sat in the 3rd row without too much discomfort (I'm 5 ft 4 in), but would not want to do it on a regular basis. Best for kids. But all the rows have a recline feature for the seats, the middle can be moved up and back as well. Not anything negative from our point of view.
A good choice
I have put over 10K miles on the Pilot and I have had no problems or issues. It drives very smooth and handles great. I finally have used it in the snow and it feels very secure. I have owned three SUVs (MB, Jeep x2) and the Honda is the best value and fit.
I love this suv like I do my Ford 350SD
I put a dvd/game player in the back with 4 headsets etc. The family loves it. I love the nav. I get 19 miles a gal. This has been my favorite next to my Ford 350SD diesel dully truck. It drives great. I've had it a year. I am always in a hurry, so it is easy to drive. My daughter has learned to drive in it. I plan on keeping this car until it falls apart. I can't say that about many cars I've had over the years. I hall 4 kids and groceries around and still have room. It is smaller than our conv. van and trucks but it is nice for my life style. I love this SUV. It's a keeper.
I'm a believer!
I purchased my Pilot last April 2006, and love it more now than I did then! It is very comfortable and fun to drive. The mileage isn't the best (I get around 17 city), but it's a big vehicle, what do you expect? I have plenty of room for my two children, their car seats, strollers, and even their friends with their car seats! I have all the versatility that I need with this car. Buy it!
Great family car
We've had it for nearly 1 1/2 years and have 3 children, all 5 and under. First off, I love my Pilot. That said, the 2nd row is not ideal. The biggest flaw with this as a family car is that infant carseat would only fit in the center where there is no latch! Latched it using the other seats' latches but left my other 2 kids latchless. Plenty of power and cargo space. 3rd row for kids only. Nice leather. A touch noisy on highway. Great stereo. Console is very nice. Solid vehicle, runs well. I drove an Audi and would like tighter steering, though. But handles fairly well, doesn't feel too big. Great safety features
Love my pilot!
We now have 23,000 miles on our Pilot. We pull 2 Harley's on a trailer from time to time. It performs very well and is a very comfortable traveling vehicle. We've even taken the in-laws with us on a trip. They found the back seat very comfortable and room for baggage. Lots of AC/DC plugs. Took laptop, cell phones, and used the 12V to play DVD's.
In Love
We traded our piece of junk 2002 Ford Explorer for this car and we are in love. It is roomy and sturdy. Great for a Mom with two little active boys. It drives great and you feel as if you are driving a car even though you are up high. Cupholders everywhere!Third row seat roomier than the Explorer. We've had this car for 1 1/2 years and we are still in love! Bought it new.
Made the right choice
After 11 months and 18,000 miles we love the Pilot more than when we bought it. We have three boys and we wanted something wide for long trips but not as long or high as a Sequoia. The Pilot was a perfect fit. It's well designed. The third row is very useful for the 8-11 year olds we always have tagging along. My wife loves driving it.It has great pick up for us (we're used to under powered SUVs). Gas mileage is a little disappointing but it is a heavy vehicle. We get about 18 mpg in town and 20 mpg at 73-75 mph.

Think twice
Well, all the rave about the Pilot is over rated. It's a 6 cylinder...then a 4 cylinder! I needed a 6 cyl...as told repeated to the salesman...to tow heavy handicap equipment for my mother. I am disappointed in the road noise, but mostly Honda itself. Why tell people this is a great car? Maybe it is for most. But when you need specifics, Chapman Tucson should have directed me to something more to my needs. 30 days later, I am trading it in!
