Great family truckster
We bought our Odyssey primarily for long road trips. It's been fantastic. Plenty for room for everyone, no one complains about being cramped anymore. It's so comfortable inside that long drives are much less fatiguing. The main reason I picked the Honda is because of its great handling. It's seriously better than most SUVs and even some cars. There have been a lot of comments about the fuel economy. The vehicle is heavy, so its city mileage is poor. But on the highway with 6 people & 4 bikes on a hitch rack, I get 22 to 25 mpg on the highway. Better than my 4 door sedan with bikes on the roof! In summary, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a minivan, especially if you like to drive!
this isn't your Mom's minivan.......
I am single still for a little bit longer and have no kids , but have a lot of friends. I drive an 96 accord sedan with 216k miles and still running strong, well it only sit 4 comfortably and when we ALL go out, we always end up driving several cars, Well with this new van We can pile them in no problem.

My most favorite van.
This van is fairly quiet and smooth. There is plenty of passenger room. It has the best looking shape and form in the minivan segment. The handling is much more stable than any SUV I have tested, owned, and/or currently own. This is the perfect vehicle for a family with young children. I highly recommend it. I have sold my Infiniti FX35 to buy this car and I have been happy since.
Bad Decision
Bought used April,2010 My complaint issues are cheap plastic on the interior that seems to scratch if anything touches it. The passenger slider door needed guide roller replaced at 47,000. It now sometimes jams when opening. The dealer tells me this is a safety feature that activates when the window is down. It activates on ours without the window down. Also, that door sticks and our 9 year old daughter can't open it. They have put their door grease on it several times and it doesn't help. Transmission labors at 50 mph. Recall did not help this. Service rep says he has one that does the same. Also The seats are not even close to Chrysler for ride comfort. I'm trading for Chrysler
Nothing But Problems
Let me start off with saying that this is the first and last Honda that I will ever owned. The car shakes when the VCO light is on (3 cylinder mode). The car has been into the dealership for transmission updates to correct this problem. I had a VSA light on the dash and the dealership had to replace the VSA module at a cost of $1350.00 and the car is just 20 days out of warranty. Brake rotors had to be turned at 15,000 miles due to a wheel vibration. DVD monitor was defective right from the factory. This car has poor mpg at around 20 on the highway.
