Love my new car!
I have only had this car a few days, but I must say it's such a joy to drive. It's also much roomier than I had ever though it could be perfect for me & my two little guys!
Impressed
This is my husband's car and I used it to travel about 2000 miles recently. What a fun car. The seat and leg room were much more comfortable than I thought they would be. Turns corners tightly and goes like the wind. I love the fact that the door swings open really wide. Great car and a vast improvement in interior room than the older models. Had plenty of storage space and people had good leg room in the second row. Would certainly recommend this car.

Love my CR-V
My CR-V is my dream car. The ride is very smooth. I barely feel the bumps in the road. The leather seats are very comfortable.
Best crossover
We compared all the crossovers and the CRV came out the winner. We are very satisfied. Had a '97 Merc Villager, and the CRV is a quieter ride with a lot of nice features. 4 cylinder has plenty of pep. Still getting used to the smaller size, but the overall handling is very good.
After Driving Every CUV, the CR-V wins!
Flexible space, love the trunk and cabin space. +26 MPG thus far. Handling is good, HP to 180 is a noticeable difference vs 09' Build quality is top notch, this vehicle is tight, no gaps in panels or rattles. Integrated bluetooth for 10'is a plus. We'll drive this car for 5 years and it will be worth 50% of it's value.
Another CRV
Traded in a 2000 CRV and definitely like evolution of the car to include creature comforts like seat warmers, XM radio, USB port for MP3 player. Was ready to move to a small sedan or another small SUV, but the CRV is still the best overall package for me.
Good Choice-Switched from VW
The Honda's are cheaper to maintain than VWs. The reliability has been much better than my new VW was too. Like the extra passenger and cargo space. The road noise has not been bad but wish the suspension and MPG were better. If a good suspension and MPG matter more than price than an Outback would be a good choice too.
The Best
Very Happy with this runabout! Attractive yet sleek, has all the bells and whistles, comfy, excellent sound system. Have them add fogs, and auto dimming mirror and its loaded. May not be as fun to drive as say a turbo but this car makes so much more sense and it is still fun. You will not be sorry!
My first SUV
The CRV is the first SUV I've ever owned - having driven sedans for 40+ years. The vehicle drives and handles like an excellent sedan. I find it very comfortable on long trips. The engine performs decently enough and is well matched to the smooth shifting 5 speed automatic. I like the interior room and the large cargo capacity. Even though my CRV is an entry level model, its reasonably well equipped. Build quality is excellent, and the interior appears to be of high quality. My only beef with the CRV is its so-so fuel economy at interstate speeds. Other than that I'm very satisfied with the vehicle.
Kind of a mistake
I drove acura rdx, infinity ex35. Ended up with the CR-V because is was the best deal, thousands less. Best gas mileage and regular gas. The others require premium. I wish I had gone for the RDX. It was $6,000 more and requires prem gas and worse overall mpg. BUT much better to drive.
Excellent Value
The best small SUV for the money. Safety features, better looks, more power. I compared the RAV4, Forrester, and Escape. The CRV won hands down. Plus the resale value and reliability exceeds the others. The CRV is more polished, looks timeless, and is easy on the wallet. I sold a 2001 CRV for $7500. That's value. That's another reason why I bought another CRV. Plus it looked better than the last generation. Just change the oil every 3K and you're good to go.
Second Updates
This is my second updates for 2010 CR-V after 3000 miles of road trip from Bay Area to Yellowstone National Park, then to Las Vegas and back to the Bay Area. Quiet/Comfort: dont expect to have quiet level as Acura/Lexus, it is little bit noisy on high speed. The seats are very comfortable and supportive (some reviewers complained too hard for them, understandable. But I like them that way) Handling/Maneuverability: I used to have Honda Pilot, but found it too big and was not as much fun to drive as CR-V. This CR-V handles the winding/twisting roads easily. The suspension is just right, but it can be harsh when runs on unpaved roads. Design: dont like much the exterior design.
Happy Honda owners so far
We are very happy w/ our CRV EX-L AWD the styling reminds me of the more expensive acura or lexus. the performance is very nice and fuel mileage is 26+ everyday driving. this is one 4x4 that my wife says is very easy to drive and get in and out of both for her and her mother. smooth ride, great performance, no blind spots, outstanding sound system. there are only 2 things that i wish Honda would have done, for the price of one of these, fog lights should be included on the EX-L at least, but i will have some installed. the other problem will not be so easy to fix which is the splash guards need to be a little longer to keep road debris off of the vehicle. We love our Honda
Month One
This is our fourth Honda, and our first small SUV. This is a very practical vehicle and is fun to drive (no sports car, but fun). Unfortunately, the build quality of this car is much worse then any of the Hondas that we have owned in the past (all Accords). We didn't seriously consider other brands during this search because of our past experience. After one month I am regretting that decision, missing interior trim pieces, loose exterior trim. Body panel alignment that is spotty and tonight when pulling into the garage, a new sound from under the hood. I am going to ask the dealer to go over it with a fine tooth comb. I used to enthusiastically recommend Honda, now I am not so sure.
I LOVE This Car!!!
I have wanted a Honda C-RV for a while now, and I love the 2010. It gets good gas mileage, and has more horsepower than the 2009. It is a perfect car for all people. It is very comfortable at a reasonable price.
Satisfied choice
I returned my 07 Accord SE lease and bought a new 2010 Honda CR-V EX AWD. Odometer now reads 200 miles. The car is very comfortable, lots of room, and build quality is top notch. However, this car lacks power. CR-V is on little heavy side powered by 2.4L 4 banger. I haven't tested AWD capability on wet or snow traction yet. One aspect that I really don't like is the Grade Logic Control system that locks into lower transmission during hill climbing and descent. My mind thinks it should up-shift in certain point but it holds down the transmission too long, and shift isn't smooth as Accord. Overall, I made a good choice and I really like the car. I'll get used to GLC in 3 years. =)
My New 2010 Honda CR-V AWD with Nav
I just got this vehicle a few weeks ago and am really very satisfied so far. Mileage is good and ride is comfortable.
Very Good SUV
Overall I very much like my CR-V. Before this I had a '02 Saturn Vue, and although I definitely miss it (I miss the control of the manual tranny), I prefer the CR-V. It has great acceleration for a 4cyl. engine, handles well, and the fit and finish can't be beat for the price.
Another good one so far
We have had ten hondas during the last 25 years. Each one has been better than the last. Like most, this one hasn't had a single defect yet. I know it's early, but so far so good. Especially like that the ride is quieter than our 2004 Odyssey, and the mileage is 24 mpg, 5 mpg more than Odyssey. I find the instrumentation excellent with the Gage for obtaining best mileage useful. Excellent handling and braking, no major blind spots. I find it very competent. Exterior styling could be upped some tho.
Satisfied with my CR-V
So far so good with my Honda CR-V. The driving is smooth and pleasant. It is a great vehicle for city and mountain driving. It is also high enough off the ground to make it easier to sit my baby in her car seat. It is roomy enough and the interior is fine enough. Nice car overall and classy compared to other SUVs.
Sports car or family hauler...
I was looking to downsize from a Honda Odyssey to something that could still haul a bicycle but was easier to park and maneuver. So I tried out a Mazda5 which was nice but claustrophobic feeling. The CR-V felt more open and cheerful inside. If you are looking for a cushy ride, this is not the car for you, however, if you want sports car type handling, this is it. The steering is light, direct and quick. The transmission shifts very smoothly and easily engages a lower gear without having to mash the pedal to the floor. To me, this is the Mazda Miata of SUV's. My fuel economy so far has averaged just over 25mpg and that is with 40-50% highway driving.
Our First Honda
Have driven it for two months now. Love it. Feels like a larger vehicle and the handling is great. Has taken some time to adjust to the 4cyl, but is enough power for us. Getting 21 mpg doing real short trips and 26 mpg on longer runs.
My 3rd CR-V in 11 years and > 325,000 miles
I commute 110 miles round trip every day. I need economical and comfort. I've put over 3/4 of a million miles on CR-V's since 2000. In 2010 I purchased my 3rd CR-V - love the style, ride, fuel economy and durability. My first one was a slightly used 1998 EX model that I traded in after putting about 210,000 miles on it. It's still in use today by a college student. I bought #2 (LX model) in 2006 and put 114,000 miles on it. Sold it just for the heck of it to someone who offered me Edmund's selling price (He and his wife love it) and bought a 2010 EX-L Nav model in March. About 3 months and 6500 miles later, I love it. Best one yet.
She's a keeper and still going
I got her in 2017. She had 146,180 miles. Got at a dealership in Massillon OH for $7466 (tax, title, etc). Here it is going on 7 years in August 2024. Just had oil changed at 221,010 miles. She's still going strong. Made sure to keep maintained accordingly. A pretty to drive long distance. Darn good on gas. People think the emblem on the back corner is wrong: 4 wheel drive. Back then that's what they were called: Not AWD. What repairs I have done has been very affordable as I was on SSD and now SS. That only complaint I have is the original rims keep rusting out on it. The body is metal and to this day where I hit the neighbor's chain link fence by sliding on ice it's just now starting to show surface rust after 5 years. I love my honda and plain to keep on driving her until she doesn't run no more. Get this people to date I've been very very fortunate with the engine and tranny. They say it's due for check up and my response : "Why mess with something that is working good?" I can assure you anything happens to this girl I'll get another honda. They have proven just how dependable they are and on a limited income that's the best anyone can ask for.

Proud owner of a CR-V
I have my cr-v for 10 days and still loving it. I test drove a lot of vehicles in my search for a new car and when I drove this car I knew it was the one. The ride is smooth and handles great. And love the red color and so much room - wow.
just right size suv
Had this CR-V for a month going from a 09 accord exlv6. Wanted SUV for practicality and comfort. Nicely finished with very comfortable seats good visibility. Ultra quiet engine and trans. Reasonable gas mpg 21 -23 around town, nice features with reclining rear seats and folding seats. This cr-v exudes quality throughout. Ex all wheel drive sticker $25,845.00 this is an excellent SUV there is no reason to spend more, both my wife and I love the car, and I have had over 50 autos and this is one of the best you can buy. Period !
2010 CR-V EX-L
This is my third Honda and first CR- V. I am very happy with my V. It has plenty of interior room, except when my 5 y/o son attempts to sit behind me while I am driving. His legs are too short and end up against the back of my seat. Otherwise, I know what to expect with a Honda...excellence! Granted it doesn't ride like my BMW 740i but it is bound to be reliable. The only ride issue I've noticed is that you definitely feel nearly every bump you drive over. If Honda could just soften the ride, they would have an even better vehicle. Ergonomically, the interior design is very good. Of the vehicles in the V's class and at the 25k price range, the V is the best buy on the market!
Happy to be back in the Honda Family
We took a 18 year break from Honda and are happy to return in the CR-V. The vehicle is comfortable and performs well from a mechanical viewpoint. Gas mileage is better than EPA ratings which was a primary driver for the purchase. Our other vehicle is a Toyota 4Runner with V8 so it is not so great on gas. The CR-V while smaller compares well with the Toyota other than the obvious significant difference in power. That is not to say the CR-V performs unsatisfactorily as I really enjoy driving it. You just have to drive it differently. If you are considering purchasing I think you will be very happy if you proceed with the purchase. Back in the Honda family again!
Objective review
Not as peppy as I expected Fuel economy 22 city. Fell short of my expectation for a Honda Great leather interior, good build quality by far compared to peers. Good cargo space. Suspension bumpy at times
A fun good loking ride
My choice's were CR-V 4wd or Forester awd. Some difference in features, rides about the same, but the styling on the CR-V is more forward looking versus Forester simple lines. Price difference was the hook. CR-V about 1500 less then the Forester locally. Just 125 miles driven and if the repair history is any indication of the quality. I'll have care free driving.
Better than I had hoped
I have owned many Honda Accords and recently traded an 07 Accord EX 4 cylinder. I am very pleased with the purchase. The CRV has great acceleration and many standard features that I enjoy. There are many little improvements over the '09 model that really add up. The new 180 hp CR V engine is very smooth, quiet, and willing. I test drove the new Subaru Outback and Forester models. This Honda has better fit and finish, a more refined drive train, and a high quality standard sound system. On my first tank of gas I am averaging 24 mpg - mostly city driving. Since it is a Honda it should be very reliable and have excellent resale value.
What a Nice Vehicle
Purchased this vehicle just two weeks ago. Awesome vehicle; Gas mileage went down 1 mpg vs up per manufacturer; EX-L with Navi and backup camera is unbelievable; Hands free Bluetooth for phone is wonderful. The volume on radio actually reduces so instructions can be heard on GPS. Loud and Clear. Volume of radio mutes when you get a phone call so you can hear the conversation over 7 speakers. GPS continues to work and be heard. More horsepower a welcome when accelerating when merging with traffic on interstate highway. Automatic headlight system is a fantastic improvement.
2nd CR-V and Proud Owner
Purchased our 2010 EX-L in June, traded up our 2007 LX and NO regrets what so ever ! Can't wait to see what Honda has in mind for the 2011. No I am not traded my '10 up yet. Just seeing if what they are going to do to improve this years model !
MPG
I recently bought my 2010 CR-V. I love just about everything about it with the exception of the black cloth interior. It's not very comfortable and shows every speck of dirt. If I had known it was going to collect dirt I would have got leather. Also the gas mileage in town is only 20 mpg consistently. I haven't taken on a road trip yet so can't comment on the best mileage it will get.
Exceeded my expectations
I've only had my CR-V 4WD a couple of weeks but so far I love it. It handles well, brakes well, easy to park and see out of. I feel safe knowing its 4WD and it has many safety features and that it has many comforts like heated seats, xm radio, and leather. My previous car, a 2008 Accord was a nice car, but horrible in the snow so I'm looking forward to peace of mind this winter. I also want to say that I love the CR-V in and out. Its much nicer to drive than the Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Liberty having tested them. CR-V's tire and wind noise is next to none and the ride is smooth, comfortable and controlled. Bravo!
Excellent Buy!
After thirteen years with Honda, we are very happy. One odyssey, one fit, one civic, and now the cr-v. his car blows everyone away in the winter (Live in mass) and on the highway. Don't even think about the rav 4. (Had one and had to return it because it was awful)
Loved my OLD CR-V
Traded in my 2008 CR-V due to high mileage and great trade-in offer. Loved that zippy car, so it made perfect sense to trade it in. Have almost 7K miles on 2010 and am very disappointed in the mileage - was told I could expect 30/31 mpg. I barely squeak out 26 and that's if I'm holding at a steady 50 going downhill. The least bit acceleration and I can barely get out of my own way. Runs nothing like my 2008, which ran smooth and had power to pass when needed. Easily got 28/30 as mainly drive hwy. The pickup is slow and you can hear the gears downshifting to pickup speed - nothing like good ol' 2008. Sorry I traded up, I mean down..
A good suv for the price
This is my second crv. I had a 04 and I had only one issue with that one - the rear axle fluid brakes done at around 65,000 miles. It made grinding noise when turning. The fix is change rear axle fluid. I love the new crv rides great and I just did my first snow storm ride on the freeway. It was very stable ride. The mileage is impressive I can get 29.5 mpg but you have to watch instant mpg and be very light footed. Also I realized my 30 mile trip to work is down hill SLIGHTLY. The seats are firm but comfy. Fit and finish are good. I noticed the rear door glass no longer opens. And if rains and opened you will get dripped on. Over all I have no regrets.
Very disappointed!
Have only had my car for a few weeks. So very disappointed in the gas mileage. 14.5 around town, 19 on highway. Spoke to our sales guy and he said it takes about 8500 miles before break in. It's only 4 cylinder. If this is the way it is, then I want to give it back! So disappointed about that.
Best small SUV
Bought this car to replace full size pickup. Shopped around carefully with all competitors, roomiest, best use of cargo space, legendary Honda reliability and good power from large 4 cylinder, Smooth ride for SUV, Does everything I want it to do and reasonably easy on gas. Handles and rides like well behaved car, can tow small trailer (necessary criterion for me). No problems or complaints yet. Happy with Honda decision.
The Honda CR-V
My wife been wanted a Honda CR-V for a long time and finally we got one. We have driven the car for about 600 miles and both of us are very satisfied, no complaints so far. This car performs very well all around. The 180 HP improvement makes a big difference and yet it adds an x-tra mpg, can't ask for more from a 4 cyl. We plan to keep this car for a long time.
Well Rounded Vehicle
I have had the CRV for a month. I downsized from a Ridgeline (great vehicle). I do more city driving but still needed a little utility. This is my first 4 cylinder. Therefore, I was quite concerned about the power. But, I had the use of a 2008 CRV for a week and had no problems with merging, passing etc. I just need to allow more time. There was no noticeable difference between 166 hp and 180 hp. The vehicle is comfortable and roomy. I am 6-02. It is a well rounded vehicle that does not overly excel or fall short.
still early
Just got my new CRV-EXL. I left Honda 10 years ago for Lexus and then UGH! Cadillac. It's very early in the game but how could you not love this car? Awesome value, all the equipment I want, (except homelink, 4 auto mirrors and memory seats). Typical Honda, complete all around car. Excellent acceleration, nice handling, perfect combination of firm but not hard and soft but not mushy. Classic Honda fit and finish. Wonderful nav/audio combination. IPod integration is awesome. I could do without the voice command option, too much of a hassle. This car is just the right size. Big enough to fit passengers and cargo and small enough to be economical.
It grows on you
After 800 miles I am getting the feel of the 180 hp 2.4 L engine and finding it easier to access highways. Very responsive when passing . I am a average 55-65 mph driver. Driver seat broken in and comfortable, but still firm. Interior layout very good. The more I drive the CR-V the more I like it, also the layout on the dashboard nice placement, clear view.
My first suv
I loved my Saturn and they went away. I needed a new car, small and up off the ground. All research led to Honda CR-V. I have only had it a few days but love it. My Husband has a Yukon and I am just as comfortable in the CR-V. Visibility is much better than I expected. I like the interior layout. Not too overdone. I have leather interior which helps avoid the cheap look of the fabric interior. I love that the Ipod hook up accepts flash drives. I do not have the Ipod brand (boycotting) and the drive allows me to listen to all my music and not worry about my MP3, But Honda needs to look at Hyundai, they are a close second.
Not So Sure
I've had this vehicle for 5 months now and I can't seem to bond with it. This is my third CR-V. Had an 02 and an 06. Traded the 06 for the 10 and have regretted that. Acceleration is very sluggish; blind spots backing up and changing lanes- just can't see out of this vehicle. Liked the rear door that opened to the side on the previous models. If this vehicle is wet (rain or dew) and I open the rear door I get a shower. If it's raining I have to keep the wiper going to clear the rear glass, not so with my '02 and '06. If you drop something between the seat and console, you won't see it again. Thought of trading this for a Subie, but they don't rate much better.
I LOVE My CRV!!!
Bought a 2010 ex awd, got the new crv color polished metal metallic/black interior. I just love this vehicle. Engine is smooth and quiet, ride is excellent. Just all around awesome, was close to buying a RAV but I wouldn't be able to live with myself with the rear tire on the back. Wake up Toyota...CRV looks good performs excellent, I highly recommend.
What a vehicle
2010 Honda CRV with navigation is amazing to drive. First the in dash GPS lowers the volume of the stereo so you can hear the turn by turn. The bluetooth feature for your cell phone performs outstanding. Loud and clear over your 7 stereo speakers. The backup camera is crystal clear and you can see wide angle what is behind you. Honda has added automatic headlights for this year and they perform flawlessly. The beefed up their engine giving a little more power on acceleration. Gas mileage improved about 1 mpg. Insurance rates actually went down because this vehicle is one of the safest vehicles to drive. Wider arm rest and redesigned front end adds to the vehicle. Deals are plenty.
Pleasantly suprised
My wife and I were reluctant to purchase a 4cyl vehicle. We drive the WVA turnpike twice a wear which will definitely wring out a car. I expected the CRV to bog down somewhat, even withe the 180hp engine. The cruse was set for 70mph, the CRV had no trouble negotiating the hills and the transmission, electronic throttle worked synergisticly with the cruise. WVA turnpike cannot be driven at 70 a good deal of the time because of tight curves, but we still kept up with the faster traffic in the inside lane. The engine shifts down smoothly and maintains speed. Some hills were quite steep and increased grade as we ascended. I pushed the throttle and the CRV advanced to 80 without strain or thrash.
All good, but ...
This is my 4th CR-V. They have all been an improvement over my first 2002. The 2010 is quieter, smoother and more refined. I bought this one because I wanted to give it to one of my kids and because I wasn't that impressed with the drawing I had seen of upcoming 2012 model. The only complaint I have up to this point is the fog lights. I bought and paid for them to be installed at the dealership. At no point did any one tell me that it would disable my auto headlight feature. Pretty disappointing. Other than that; it is great! This is our 7th Honda and I am still happy with the product and the value.
