my main concern when buying the car is the pick up because i was worried with gas/electric if it would have any kick to it...and i was extremely shocked to find the pick up was actually great. obviously you cant beat the gas milage...had the car 2 days, and getting 32MPG...will soon be near 50. the display panel is so cool you need to remember to pay attention to the road. stero is a good stock stereo. roomy interior. absolute great car!

Very reliable but could use more power

Ok 6000 miles later here is my take on this coming from a Celica and a Civic Si. I definitely had to get use to less pep for starters the interior buid is ok but still missing something (dash is a little too dull + very mass production feel). Gas mileage is decent 30 miles per gallon. Rear spolier option for around $500 adds some appeal. Ok enough about the bad... The good is resale value, reliability, low APR financing, value priced and the fact that you don't have to choose from a billion options. Like with the Toyota where every thing on the car is extra. Honda does a great job by grouping their upgrades in packages - DX, LX, and EX. Overall a good buy but could be better

Extremely Reliable, Very Boring

My parents got me this car pre-owned certified right when I got my license a year before I headed off to college. This was perfect for my use. It's safe, doesn't waste gas, and is completely adequate from getting from point A to point B. I love how its small enough to zip in and out of lanes without causing a problem, and its roomy up front. That being said, it is a really boring car. It's also incredibly noisy on the highway and the brakes are extremely sensitive. However, it's economical, environmentally friendly, and since I got it in 2008 I haven't had a single problem with it. Just regular servicing, and its good to go. Great car for college students or new drivers.

A Gas-Sipping Treasure

I bought a Certified '05 Civic EX SE A/T with 9,000 miles via Ebay. I drove it 650 miles back home and it was a pleasure. The ergonomics of the controls are stellar; the comfort of the seats superb, and the driving experience a pleasure. I averaged well over 40 MPG on the freeways; I am averaging well over 30 MPG around town. I love the sound system and head unit on the SE; I also like the leather-wrapped steering wheel & the spoiler. All the controls are intuitive & easy to use. The ride is supple yet the car is eager and willing through corners. Fit & finish are impeccable both inside the car and outside. Even with the automatic transmission, the car is peppy.

I love my new Honda Civic Special Edition. I am a young mother of a small child and not only is the Civic sporty and fun, but it also serves its purpose for being a family car.
