New Car & Surprises Not Always Good
Purchased this new car w/75 miles on it from dealer. Nice looking exterior, well appointed & roomy interior. Great car for city & all flatland driving. However, it does lack necessary torque/power/responsiveness to effectively & safely climb hills, pass, & freeway merge when necessary without having at least 3/4ths of a mile or more clear of traffic to get up to speed (0 to 60mph in not seconds, but 3 to 5 minutes! Amazingly poor & unsafe performance!

Quiet car
I bought this car because it is so quiet. I test drove it on sevral occasions beforehand, and I liked the fact that even when the gas engine is running it is so quiet. It won't win any races, but that's not the intent of this kind of car. The intent is to be a quiet, economical car (that happens to be very environmentally friendly), and it accomplishes these goals admirably. This is the car I should have purchased when I was shopping a couple of years ago. I bought a VW back then, and though I loved it, it was unreliable. No longer my problem.
great
great i love this car, its perfect for just about anything, it is very reliable and applicable to just about any type of person.
I'll never go back to gas only . . .
I love this car. Love sitting at a stop and knowing that I am not like all the cars around me pumping pollution into the air, because I am on the electric motor. I used to have a lead foot, and now I have more fun trying to get great mileage instead. I love competing with myself from one tank of gas to the next to try and get better and better mileage. So far the best tank of gas was 62.8 mpg and the worst was about 42 mpg. I have one tach that I haven't reset since I purchased her. Currently it says I am averaging 51.8 miles per gallon over the life of the car.
