THIS IS MY THIRD HONDA CIVIC AND THEY ARE THE BEST IN EVERYTHING FROM GAS TO DURABILITY
great car
love this car! would suggest it to anyone..........
2003 Honda Civic
The car has been great. Consitently 31- 34 mpg and it rides smooth. We have a new son who was 2 months when we got the car it has been safe and a good car for children.
my baby
coming from a 95 Geo, Prizm my honda civic is a dream. I got it for my senior year of high school and i know it'll be around long after a graduate from college. It has great gas mileage and it's fun to drive. It the perfect starter care for a 17 year old because Honda a great reputation for reliability.
Civic Lover
I've had my 2003 Honda Civic since November 2002. The pick up isn't as fast as I expected from a vtec engine. Its an attractive car and in general is the car is overall a good package. The price is good and the car is very reliable
great honda 2003
Great overall car...I just love it!!!!
Rocks and Shakes
This is my fourth Honda and was expecting another gem. The driver's manual seat adjustment has an annoying amount of "play". Also steering vibration at 70 Mph. Dealer had no offer for correcting either problem. Honda national customer service had the same resspone - no help. My last Honda.
I know you will LOVE it.
I decided I needed to get a car that was 100% reliable, had good gas, and affordable. I looked and compared for a LONG time. I ended up buying a 2003 Honda Civic. I am in LOVE with it. Save your time looking at other vehicles. I get great gas mileage, and everyone compliments me on how they love my car. The inside is really neat, the dashboard lights up orange and purple. I was surprised how much room there was. All of my passengers have plenty of leg room. I feel very safe driving my Honda.
civic2003
a great car in all aspects.gives excellent fuel mileage and superb handling.nice interiors and styling. gives you value for money.
New owner but thoroughly tested
This car handles quite well, rides smoothly and is very quiet. Sporty, fun to drive, better overall feel than a Cavalier. No frills. There are some annoyances -- one delay wiper setting, how the door locks work, cramped drivers quarters because of a large door storage space that digs into your knee. Brakes are not responsive; you have to mash them to the floor to stop. Shifter does not stop you from shifting through Drive or bumping it out of Drive into gear 2 or 3. The speedometer is difficult to read because the lines that show odd numbered speeds (like 30 MPH) are too short to differentiate. Hard to tell these things on one test drive!
Can't beat a Honda
A great car few problems 5 speed sometime feels hard driver seat feels loose
It's OK but some issues
The car has been very reliable. I have had to replace the driver's side window motor twice now, I hear others have this issue as well. Like some of the other reviewers, min is at 99,000 miles and my transmission is starting to act funny. I hope I don't have to replace like they did!
First new Car
Just the right size. Roomy without being bulky. moved up from an old sports car and don't feel overwhelmed. Good performance, but doesn't have quite the power I'm used to, which is probably a safe thing.
civic
great car for the money, dependable, great gas mileage...wonderful
Great economy car
My experience with this car has been great. I have a standard transmission, so it really has a lot of get-up-and-go for a 4 cylinder vehicle. I haven't had any complications, it's fun and easy to drive. I previously had a 1991 Civic LX Sedan, and there have been many improvements since then! The road noise especially has really been reduced. The interior is small, of course, but amazingly roomy! On the same token, for such a small car, the trunk is huge!
Best Little Car On the road
One of the best compact cars w/ a 4- cylinder engine that I have ever driven. It is so quiet that you really can not even here it when it's running. I switched to this from 1996 Pontiac Firebird because of the Fuel Economy that you get with Civic. I really can not tell a difference between my old car and this one it is definitely an all around better car. I would have to say that it beats the competition hands down no contest.
What Happened To Honda?
I bought this car in 2002 and it has been very reliable until it hit 100,000 miles. The transmission slips terribly, I took it to a service station and had it flushed thinking that would help but no such luck. The service manager said he's seen several Hondas with bad transmissions lately. My first Honda was good for 180,000 miles, died when I wrapped it around a pole. That's why I bought another one. But this one's transmission started acting up as soon as it hit 100,000 miles. What happened to you, Honda?
Great Car But...
WE bought a Civic knowing that in 5 years it will be paid off and ready to go to college with my daughter. But I love it so much I may keep it for myself.
WE LOVE OUR HONDA
WE JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED OUR FIRST HONDA AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. IT IS EXTREMELY FUN TO DRIVE. IT HAS UNEXPECTED PEP AND HANDLES BEAUTIFULLY. I AM 6'0'' TALL AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE INTERIOR COMFORT. WE LOVE THE CAR SO MUCH THAT WE WILL BE PURCHASING ANOTHER ONE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THANK YOU HONDA!!!!!
MY CAR
RELIABILITY AT IT'S BEST AND A GREAT ALL AROUND CAR
Honda Civic

GREAT small car!
Love this civic...fun to drive in a 5 speed, comfortable, great ride, and reliability to boot!
jays car
the best drive i ever had as simple as that
WONDERFUL
MY CIVIC HAS BEEN SO WONDERFUL. IF I HAD TO DRIVE ACROSS THE COUNTRY I WOULDNT DO IT WITH ANYTHING ELSE BUT A HONDA CIVIC.THIS IS THE MOST RELIABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY CAR I HAVE EVER HAD.THIS IS NO JOKE.
Great Bargain
We purchased this vehicle new in December 2002 and have taken 2 trips to Las Vegas, Nevada both times averaging about 40 miles to the gallon on regular gasoline. The automatic drive system functioned perfectly on cruise control in the mountains keeping the desired speed constant.
bruni's civic
This is a good car but poor seating for a 6 footer. The worst design for vents . It blows in your face with no lower vents. Fix these things and you wil get tens!
Best car
It is the BEST CAR! CIVIC-NATION!
I LOVE MY HONDA
I find that my honda civic is very dependable. It rides very smooth. I had a pontiac grandam before and I can tell you that that car was a lemon! I had nothing but problems with it from the start! This honda civic has been a dream to me. When I leave home in the morning to go to work I know I will get there with no problem and that means everything to me to have a car that is so dependable!
My Little Honda!!
My Little Honda and I have been on several road trips together and we have both survived!! She is a beauty and she is fun to drive. Her small size and get up and go helps me maneuver in and out of traffic very efficiently. Right now, she is at about 120,000 and is doing great!!
New may not be better
Interior seats should be wider. Judging front and back for parking is terrible. I always find I am either too close or too far away. My 1992 was terrific, unfortunately I sold it - still with no problems in 2003 with 198,200 miles. It was also great on gas. I don't get as good gas mileage as I expected.
Rita's Honda
I needed a reliable car for a daily 2 hour/ 100 mile commute. Looked at the Toyota, but liked the looks of the Civic much better. Handles great, good gas mileage, and I feel safe in it. But kept my big SUV (Mountaineer) in case of really bad weather!
You can do better for the money
My 1987 Civic was a much better car: better MPG, rode smoother, was much quieter, had better ventilation through the dash and had more comfortable seats. This car is loud on the road (and I've had two sets of tires - my Jeep was quieter!). I can't stand how this thing locks itself even after opening the trunk, and the seats are more sporty than comfy. The stereo is nice. We just bought a 1986 Toyota pickup that rides better and is quieter as well. I'm trading this car in for a Camry or a Mercury Grand Marquis. Never again will I buy a Civic. Sure, it's reliable, but so are most cars these days. My friend's Accord, not much better. Sorry Honda.
Best Car - Honda Civic LX 2003 - Fun!
Honda Civic LX 2003 is very good car to own. Only one thing I don't like is noise on Highway. Need improvement - reduce out side noise. - add ABS I was Toyota's lover- Since last 15 years. This Year I have tested HONDA - It worthed to by Good quality car.
HONDA CIVIC
EXCELLENT GAS MILEAGE, GOOD HANDLING, IM A HONDA CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. EVEN MY DAD WHO HAS NEVER OWNED ANYTHING OTHER THAN A CHEVY LOVES MY CIVIC!
Good decision
I have had no problems whatsoever and have been rear ended once (by another Civic no less). The bumper had a scrape which has since been fixed. I only mention this because I have seen bumpers fall off of other cars from less. The fuel mileage is excellent. I average approx. 25 mpg. I have always been a die hard buy American guy. I became sick of working on my cars constantly and decided that my first new car would have to be foreign. When American companies learn to make reliable cars I may actually go back to them.
My Honda Civic EX
My Honda Civic is the best car I ever owned. In 1989, I bought a Honda Accord, and had it til' 1999. It had 237 thousand miles on it, and was in perfect condition. My Civic will last me 12 years.
Making The Case for the Canadian Civic
I have taken my 2002 Civic EX on six SFO/PDX trips (750 mi each way). Harsh potholes, sand, scratched the bottom hard, and routine 90-110 mph commute at 5am. Despite warnings about the Canadian-built Civics of 2001 & 2002, I remain impressed with how much abuse my Civic has taken. I drive it like a maniac with NO PROBLEMS whatsoever. Rattles are starting to surface after one year of abuse. Rides quiet like the old Accord. US-built tranny in my 2002 might be a problem in the future but so far so good. 2003 transmission is Japanese- built, car now made in Ohio, a good thing. overall, I suggest skipping Civic- get the Accord.
2003 Honda Civic LX 4dr 5spd
Got this car 5 months ago and basically love it. I've had no problems with it thus far, and have adjusted my driving habits to pull in an average of 43 mpg (40 city, 47 hwy). Recommended car for anyone.
Honda Civic
I really like how spacious my civic is. The back seats are great because there's no bump in the middle of the floor in the back, and there's tons of leg room even when the driver or passenger's seat is moved back. Also the trunk is awesome, it holds so much stuff, so much space. And if you need even more space, the back seats fold down very nice to make more room. Finally, this car drives like a dream. I've driven other small cars, and none of them are as smooth, or drive as easly as the Civic. This is an awesome car.
excellance
Best all a round car I ever owned
2003 Civic EX
Very smooth transmission, roomy ride, great gas mileage.
HoNDa
I loved everything about my 2003 Honda Civic, however, at 11,500 miles, my transmission gave out and I had to have a new one. MY driver's side seat also had to be replaced a couple of times. The seat tracks on this particular Honda had not been alined properly from the factory, and when I had it to the dealer for the 9th time they replaced the seat. However, it did not make a difference. I like everything from the ergonomics of my honda to the performance, but the problems with the trasmission and the seat were reason to rid myself of that lemon.
Not All Civics are created equal
What a crap vehicle. I wish I would have read the Reviews in Car and Driver or Road and Track before I bought this KIA with a Honda badge. What crap!
I'm in Love with it!!
I much enjoy this vehicle. Not only is it a nice size with enough room but it also has a nice pick up and go power to it.
quints ex
flawless...yet lacks that distinct personality you find in the domestic makes that have suspect reliability and quality issues (I.E. ford, chrysler,gm) however over the year I've owned the honda its looks have grown on me...
Hooked on Hondas
Exceptional value for price of the car. Very reliable and quality build. Fourth time Honda owner and will never leave the Honda Family. Love to drive and pass by gas stations. Got the 1.9 percent financing for 60 months. That was just icing on the cake for me. Had a wonderful experience with the dealership. Always recommend Hondas to friends and family. Never knew I would own a Civic after driving Preludes for many years. Drive 25 miles one way to work each day. Very impressed with this Civic.
So Far So Good
Just got the EX 5Sp this weekend. I'm happy with it so far. Got it for about $15800. I suggest you contact the "Internet Department" at your dealer for the best "deal". Tempe Honda will get my referrals, everyone was helpful, no pushy salesman, and they were concerned about getting me out of there fast. Plus I got 1.9% for 60Months
Best car for college students
Handle is great, economic (For surviving full time student), Very comfortable, all around the love of my life(keeping in mind its JUST a car)
Very Happy with my 2002 CIVIC
