Used 2022 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
EX-L Trim = Pretty Solid Ride
This review is coming from someone who owned a 2010 Civic for 11 years. So upgrading to the 2022 Accord was quite a jump. What I love: - This car is beautiful inside and out. - Wireless phone charger (dealer told me it can't be used with a phone case, but that's not true) - Smooth on the road and accelerates easily - Fuel efficiency... I can go 3-4 weeks without refueling (but I also WFH full-time) What I don't love: - The driver's seat doesn't adjust as high as I'd like it to. Even in it's highest position, it's too low for me. I had a buy a booster seat so I can see over the dashboard. - The safety feature that automatically re-corrects your steering when the car detects you're veering out of the lane is a bit off-putting. It's not always accurate. - The idle-stop system takes some getting used to.

Honda Accord EX-L
My Honda Accord is black exterior and black leather interior. The sound system is awesome! The drive is smooth. Very comfortable seats. I love the lumbar support, on driver side only. Roomy trunk and the the trunk liner/mat is a plus! No regrets purchasing this vehicle!

2022 Accord Touring
Excellent for a small family. I don’t have many complaints except for the fact that Honda got rid of the right side mirror camera.

Loud road noise
I’m 64 and have all the issues that go with that age including tiniatis. I couldn’t hear the phone because of the road noise. Seats weren’t comfortable either. Easy to drive. 2.0 motor had enough juice to satisfy. Hard to understand why Honda didn’t insulate the vehicle better. Traded after 6 months and 8000 miles.

No suspension!
I just drove home in my new 2022 Honda Accord Sport 1.5 SE (19" / 45) tires. I had to purchase sight unseen (test drive not conducted) to secure a new car. On the drive home I noticed every bump, pothole, change in road surface and it was loud!! This is definitely not a comfortable car. With a 1.5 liter engine it is definitely not a sport car either. Tremendously disappointed with this car. Now all I have to do (according to the Honda dealer) is place 17" wheels with quiet tires to make the car bearable.....Just another thousand or so....So they know there is an issue with the car. If you are thinking this is a quiet comfortable car you are mistaken.

Worth the wait!
Our recent purchase was our 11th Honda! We are very pleased with our new Accord Sport SE. Every purchase prior to this one was a Civic, but we needed a little more room so we chose an Accord. Great car, You will never go wrong with a Honda. Dependable, great gas mileage, smooth ride, fold down or split seat to carry stuff. We waited for our color choice, Sonic Grey Pearl. It was worth the wait! Won’t be our last Honda. We are very happy with our purchase.

Driver seat OK, Passenger seat not so much
I purchased a 2017 EXL V6 and the drivers seat can be adjusted to be somewhat comfortable (as indicated in the Edmunds review) but the passenger seat is only 4-way adjustable (front-back, back tilt forward-backward). On longer drives where me and the wife share the driving sitting in the passenger seat is relative torture. Here we are in 2022 and only the same seat combination is available. Unless the same comfort can be provided for both positions (like the significantly more expensive Acura TLX) the Accord is an absolute no go for our family.

GOODBYE ACCORD! BEWARE OF FORWARD COLLISION SYS!
The car has served me well for the short time i have owned it. Purchased new and put a few hundred miles a month on the car. Still under 5,000 miles. What kills the deal for me is the Forward Collision Warning system. It now slams the brakes on... and no cars in front, none to the side, nor to the rear. Honda has no solution and the recalls for this issue do not apply to the 2022...yet. I feel unsafe that at any second, for no reason, the car will slam the brakes on and i will cause an accident. NHTSA already has 117 incidents of the 2022 Honda Accord involved in accidents caused but the FCW brakes engaging without any reason. Thankfully Carvana offered a price to take it away that i could not refuse. Beware of this issue. It is haunting Honda Accords.... BECAUSE EDMONDS WANTS ME TO UPDATE REVEIW. I am thrilled I have dumped the Accord. The NHTSA is now investigating over 1200 sudden "phantom" braking events with accords through 2022 involved in accidents. Another recall brewing. Beware of the Accord.

Great color matched with impressive performance
This is my first Accord and second sedan. I have owned many vehicles over my 50 some years of ownership. I am leasing and picked the car up this past August at MSRP. I had wanted to purchase the Kia K5 GT but the Kia dealership, owned by the same company where I purchased my Accord, wanted a laughable $4,000 above MSRP. LOL. I chose the Accord for its reliability, features and looks. I would have preferred the 2.0T but couldn't justify the extra thousands for the additional horsepower. Besides the ride quality and impressive performance, I love the color which is different and doesn't show the dirt. My only grip is the lack of blindspot monitoring, especially since safety is a feature Honda is known for and also find it absurd to be missing on a higher trims level such as the Sport SE.

Solid, heavy and of course beautiful
Impeccable interior and exterior. Very little road nose. Technology at your fingertips. Sound system as rich as you should hear while driving. Roomy and comfortable for driver and passengers- per the passengers. The color is lustrous and deep. Milage has been as good as I hoped and why I bought the car. Great ride and beautiful enough not to want to drive it.

2022 Accord
I was a devout Honda fan and VW fan. When I was in college I had an 86 Accord LXi, I loved that car it was a very good mix of sport and headed toward luxury at the time. It offered good gas mileage, pretty quick at the time as the 4 cyl would beat v6 and v8 I raced back them. I also loved the VW Jetta GLI and the GTI. I've owned many Honda since 86, all the Accord body styles up to 2014 and a Civic EX and I've also owned a few Acuras including a Legend and a Tl, all of these were bought new. The thing about it Hondas they had in common was they all hurt my back even in short stints of driving. I bought a BMW and made it my daily driver and i noticed that the seat didn't hurt my back, have a Mercedes E Class it doesnt hurt my back. So recently had a Jetta that I really liked, it was loaded with leather, sunroof, very comfy car. I travel alot for business and was wanting a company car that I could wrap and use as my daily driver, I wanted a Pearl white touring Accord with the 2.0 motor, I found one and boy was it beautiful but just sitting in it all the backaches I had with my previous Honda/Acuras came rushing back, I told the salesman no thanks no test drive needed. Thinking about another Jetta or GTI or maybe an Audi. Beautiful car but I just couldnt get comfy, I'm 5'7 190 lbs. Just my 2 cents.
High hopes…BIG letdown
I had really high hopes for my 2022 Accord Touring. I can honestly say it will be the last Honda my family owns. The 2.0 engine is strong and in sport driving mode it is very quick and nimble. That’s about where the good ends. Drivers seat is horrible, quick trips are fine but on long ones it’s impossible to stay comfortable after about an hour. The center console digs in to your right knee, the cooling seats barely do anything at all. Exterior door handles feel and handle like cheap plastic. The infotainment system is the most quirky and glitchy I’ve ever used from any manufacturer - it dops Bluetooth phone and CarPlay connections at random and sometimes just freezes up and has to reboot. Wireless charging pad hasn’t worked from day 1. Automatic braking braking engages for no reason, mine on several occasions while going down the interstate has braked as though I was about to rear end someone - and there’s not a car in sight. The auto highbeams only dim the lights about 1/2 the time for oncoming traffic, finally just disabled that feature. Lane keep assist is ridiculous, disabled that too. On cool mornings, when backing up, the brakes make a VERY loud groaning noise. HondaLink system is a total joke. Of course the dealer isn’t able to duplicate these issues and says everything is functioning as it should be despite many of my complaints being well documented on the internet. I hate this car. I had a 1996 Accord that was damn near bullet proof. Since then we have owned a Mitsubishi, a Pontiac, a GMC, 2 Chevys, 3 Nissans, a Hyundai, and 3 Fords. I liked every one of those MUCH better than this 2022 Accord. Honda definitely skimped on quality on this car and it will be the last Honda we ever own. Funny how Toyota seems to be able to keep their quality standards consistent while Honda consistently slides further down the charts. My high hopes for this car lead to a BIG letdown.

Worst Driving Car ever
This car wanders all over the road at highway speeds. The "safety" options like lane keeping assist etc. are all horrible. I turned off everything I could, but have to live with some that cannot be turned off. I will be getting rid of this car as soon as I possibly can. The suspension is much worse than the 3 previous Honda accords I have owned. Never again.

Not for me.
The only way you could like this car is if it is your first car. This 2022 Accord is just bad. I'm a car person and this car is just all about the looks. I have the 2.0 turbo and it is horrible. The 10 speed transmission is always lost, you don't save any significant amount of fuel on eco mode, I end up having to switch to sport mode very often because the car gets dangerously slow, it takes for ever to down shift. The seat is very uncomfortable, road noise is unbearable, sound system is horrible, the screen freeze constantly and many other horrible things. This car is not worth the monthly payment.

Beautiful car but not perfect
I was excited to splurge on the Sport SE and love the rich blue color. The roomy interior is comfortable and the ignition starts like a dream. I appreciate the lumbar back support, heated seats and great sound system. Here's where the Accord doesn't measure up. In my five months of ownership, I've yet to exceed 29 MPG. I bought the Accord for its promised MPG of 32 city and 37 highway. Despite two long road trips and being light on the gas pedal, I've not reached anywhere near this fuel efficiency. Other complaints: the back windshield has no wiper and is tinted dark. This impairs visibility at night and is especially dangerous in the rain. Finally, I hate the flashy wheel rims. They looks good but scrape easily when parking at the curb.

It is car
Accords are an overall very nice car to drive. They stop, go, and handle very well. The vehicle is huge on the inside, including the trunk, which is nice. I love the Sonic Grey Pearl color, which is the reason I bought the Sport SE, but that version of the car has a harsh ride, which I don't like. Overall, it has a European or Swedish feel, and the 1.5 liter 4-cylinder is pleasing for the most part. It does have significant turbo lag, and you really have to press the accelerator for any oomph, and then it is too much. I'm averaging just under 32 mpg in mixed driving. I'm concerned about the tiny engine and turbocharging for longevity. Same with the CVT. Doing it over, I would have purchased the hybrid because it doesn't take as many technology risks, and I want to keep the car for the long haul. The interior materials are mediocre, and the infotainment is just complete rubbish, even with CarPlay. On every drive (every. single. drive.), the wired CarPlay drops the signal from my phone. I then have to fumble with the cord to plug it back in to reset while at-speed - extremely dangerous and why can't this just work? It happens with all of the different phones in the family, and has no consistent conditions, so it would be impossible to replicate at the dealership. Happens randomly and multiple times each drive. Why are automakers so, so terrible at simple technology? Overall, it is a nice vehicle and commutes well. Because it is a pretty basic machine and nothing stands out as terrible or great, we've started to say in a monotone voice, "it is car." And it's true.

Best Honda Ever !
I'm comparing my new Silver Honda Accord Sport to my wife's 2022 Camry SE. The Honda is easier to handle, simpler to operate, much much sportier, and way better looking. There inside and storage space is much better and I still have my sunglasses storage space. The globe compartment is bigger and better. And the power on my little 1.5L engine zooms past the Camry. I love it. The first day I drove it the Collision Mitigation System prevent me from hitting a deer - - - the first day I drove it !! Now we're friends for life.

Honda Accord 2022 SE Best car in the market
Such a great car, the high end technology and the beautiful luxury look make it a 10/10. Honda did a great job with the new Honda Accord SE.
Really Sporty
I love everything about my Honda Accord Sport Edition except the cup holder. Sorry so picky. It is is way too shallow for tall drinks. Love the adjustable seat belt. I’m short and it does not stay up by my neck like my last Accord. Love the mat and carpet in the trunk. I also had a drawer put in the trunk that pulls out and is a great storage bin. Love that the driver’s seat raises up. So much more comfortable. Love the all white exterior with black accents. Middle console where arm rest is really roomy. Difficult to find things that I don’t like about it. Love all the software. I love 99.99% of my gorgeous car. Thank you Honda and my wonderful, special Sales gentleman for making this such a fabulous experience for me.

BabyBlue
I love everything about this car. It handles great. Very roomy. Put seat as far back as it can go and passengers in the back had plenty of leg room. The color is gorgeous. Huge trunk space. Love the brake hold feature...puts the car like on neutral while at a stop light or at a drive thru, you can take your foot off the brake pedal. Then just apply the gas peddle and off you go. Love the safety features. The only thing I would have liked is the amber light on the sideview mirros that lets you know cars are close to you on either side of you.

Pretty surprising car watch the CVT
I really like all of the features and quality of the car overall. It is surprisingly spry for what it is. After a few months of owning two of these cars, I can say they do perform roughly as advertised. However my first one was totalled (lifted F-150 hit me going 60 mph) and I survived. The second unfortunately suffered from CVT isssues, so I switched to Lexus. Will try the 11 generation after the first few model years have run.

Comfortable, sporty and economical
The Accord 1.5t Sport is such nice car around town and on longer trips. It soaks up bumps pretty well for a car with 19" wheels, and it handles pretty well. It's not a sports car, but it's a willing partner when you decide to attack a cloverleaf exit a little faster than you should. It's also quite economical. In my month of ownership, I seem to be averaging a bit over 30 mpg, and it hit 37 mpg on a 100-mile stretch of interstate. The 1.5 turbo is plenty powerful for day-to-day driving. Things I don't like, which are mainly things getting a lower trim locks you out of: 1) The trunk doesn't have a button to open at the lid. 2) No XM. 3) No heated seats or sunroof.

Great sleeper!
Bought my 22 black Touring in February of 2022 and now driving it a year and six months now. Car has plenty of power! The black on black touring with the dark tint looks good. It’s comfortable on the highway. Only gripe is the driver seat is not very comfortable compared to previous generations of Accord. I’m not a big person but they definitely shrunk the seat. Also this is my 5 accord I had a 07,09,12,17 now 22, the best Accord IMO is the 8th gen the 2009 and 2012. I’ve notice quality of materials being used has chinced.

Wonderful all around great value of a vehicle!!
Mpg, plenty of space, and a bit of “get up and go power” are the 3 main features when it comes to my car buying choices. I definitely got all I wanted there plus a good looking car even though looks don’t matter that much to me. That 1.5L motor achieves better than predicted mpg on the highway, which is most of my driving. Low 40’s easily with the cruise control on most of the time. That’s even better than my wife’s hybrid suv. As far as space goes, I’m a musician and can easily fit all of my speakers, guitars, and other gigging equipment. Extremely satisfied overall with the 2022 Accord. Comfortable on long trips as well, just to add. My one and only minor complaint however is that the wheels are just a bit too big for me at 19”. I would have preferred something smaller but with meatier tires. With the low profiles that come on the 19’s you feel every little bump. Unfortunately Honda didn’t make very many of the LX’s which come with 17’s and that is why I had to settle for the Sport model next up in trims.

OK vehicle however lacks features for a 38k msrp
car drives smoothly and reliability is good considering its a Honda, however it lacks features that competitors offer at better prices such as AWD and a heated steering wheel. The sound system in this vehicle is also very mid and not the greatest when it comes to sound quality. The screen and backup camera are horrendous and outdates especially for a 2022. I have seen better infotainment systems in a hyundai and mazda. Furthermore, the car also does not have a regular tire monitoring system that informs you which tire is low. It just shows that one of the four tires is low. This is probably the most annoying feature as the sensor is very sensitive and goes off at random times. Unfortunately this will probably be my last Honda as the new ones keep getting more expensive and other brands are offering better prices with more features.
