Engine Seizure!

2012 Accord exl - Engine Seizure! I had the air-bag recall done about 5 years ago. None of the air-bags deployed when the 2012 exl hit a telephone pole at 20 mph and broke the telephone pole in half!!! Beware!!!!!!! Another big problem with this 2012 exl was trying to cross lanes of traffic. If I didn’t have one foot on the break pedal and one on the gas to keep the engine revved-up, it would stall trying to take off! It was a very scary situation on many occasions. I finally found out about the class action lawsuit for the excessive oil consumption yesterday (1 Qt per 1,000 miles), 2 years after the engine sezure. I spoke with honda headquarters (1919 torrance blvd, torrance, ca 90501) today for an hour and a half. mostly on hold waiting for Alma to get her stupervisor Markita to come to the phone. Their telephone computer recognized my phone number even though I had never called before and knew I had a 2012 exl, but Alma acted like she didn't know anything... she asked me for my VIN number, but when I took a minute to find it, and asked why the computer knew it so why can’t you look at your computer she said the last four digits would do. She wasn't aware of any class action lawsuit for the excessive oil consumption, but later said my vin number was not included. I explained in detail to both of them how the $7,000 engine replacement and the three months of not having my exl and all the time I had to spend trying to get any help probably cost me somewhere around $100,000. I explained that I had 5 hondas previous to this 2012 that I had driven to the moon and back (350,000 miles), and I would buy another honda if they would help with my $7,000 cost of the engine replacement, but they adimately expressed to me that they would not take any responsibility for the engine sezure, or the faulty airbags! After hanging up with Markita, I looked up and found the guys phone number who was the main person involved with the “Honda Motor Excessive Oil Consumption Class Action Lawsuit” in California. I called his cell phone and he was very nice, but explained that all he got from all the time and effort was $500, free oil changes, and spark plugs as long as he owned the Honda. He had given it to his parents, and bought a Tesla. Not with the $500 of course… SMH [contact info removed] If you want to get the run-around yourself! Todd Faircloth Macon, GA

I welcoming for a bigger car to drive for comfort. I had been driving the Civic. Enter the Hoda Accord 4 door sedan. Talk a out roo.,there is entry for you and companions. Drives very smooth with noise. My salesman Michael Tan was so nice and really gave me a great deal . I recommend him highly. He,s fair and he really wants to make customer experience great! Very pleased with the new Honda Accord. We just completed a 2300 mile trip in our 2017 Honda Accord LX and it was a pleasure. Outstanding efficiency, economy and comfort. This was a great choice.

I wanted a car for her that is very reliable. The 2017 Honda Accord fit the bill. It was the color she wanted. It drove well. She is very pleased.

Excellent car other than HondaLink glitches

I like everything about the car but the glitches in HondaLink. I DoorDash and every time Google speaks a direction the Source changes to the phone. Besides that, the car is perfect for me.

Honda Accord 2017 has hesitating problems!

2017 EX-L 6 cylinder has 50k miles and I love the car. Lately the last 6 months the car hesitate when I accelerate from stop light and on the open highway and when I pass someone there are times where it will hesitate. No Engine light comes on and my mechanic has looked over everything and fuel injectors are clean and added fuel injector cleaner. Has anyone had similar problems like this where it has hesitate when accelerated. It doesn't do it all the time and cannot figure out the problem. M from Iowa!

otherwise a beautiful car, the interior dashboard is a bit clumsy. Over-showing dials and redundant displays make me long for the simple style of my 1991 accord. exterior is wonderful and the car feels good and safe t o drive.
