I had a Honda prelude for 5 years before buying the v6 accord 6speed. I thought I would loose some handling capability but this car is better in every respect. It's faster, quieter, roomier, and has more luxury stuff like climate control and heated seats. I checked my mileage and I'm getting 27-28 mpg-pretty good for a car that zips 0-60 in under 6 sec. All I can say is that I am totally satisfied with this car-I can zip around or drive across the country and have the best of both worlds.

So I gave up on life and bought an Accord. This car will bring on your mid-life crisis within a year of purchase. No mechanical problems to date, just fiddly things like most of the buttons which used to light up no longer do, squeaky seat, questionable paint quality. Do not buy one with Navigation - you will really regret it, especially at trade in time. Fairly quick in a straight line, great highway MPG. Handling is borderline dangerous - attempt anything outside of granny driving and you will be sorry - a real issue in an emergency situation. All in all, a nice but boring car that handles like a van.

Accord V6 6spd vs BMW 328is

I used to have a 97 BMW 328is coupe. I loved the car, the new 2005 honda v6 6spd coupe is faster in a straight line not in turns though. For everyday driving it is comparable and a lot less money to buy and maintain.

Wanted the sedan but they dont make the V6 with a manual in the sedan. So I bought A saphire blue Two door with black leather interior. The car is my 4th Honda and they only get better. This car still pulls from 65 mph in 6th gear! 17in wheels and nice.

My New '05 Accord Coupe EX V6 6sp

This is my review of my new '05 Honda Accord Coupe in the EX V6 6 speed variant. FYI, I am an aerospace engineer, so I do look closely. I didn't even do a test drive for 2 reasons, first they didn't have a 6 speed on the lot then and I had recently sold my 2000 Integra GS-R and knew the quality I was looking for. I might add, if Acura would have put a 6 cylinder in the Integra I would have kept it, but ... I purchased the Sapphire Blue sight unseen but from the brochure and was very happy when it showed up at the dealer. The color was brilliant in the sunlight with a mild metallic sparkle, the color/paint was consistent over the contours and body seams.
