All the stories I heard about Hondas are bearing true. Nice ride, handles well, and relatively quiet. The V-6 moves like the wind; great performance with reasonable gas consumption. Auto climate controls works well. The interior is great; the leather seats are better than ones I've sat in BMW and Mercedes. The Navigation system is great, and voice control is fantastic; change the temp, the CD track, or destination with your voice. It takes some getting used to, but once you go the hang of it, it's easy. You get a very fair value for the price. (Make sure you get the extended HondaCare warranty (7 yr./100K miles) so that the Navi is covered!)

2003 Accord- "the new benchmark"

The Accord is the best deal for the money. It is truly a luxury car at an affordable price. Honda reliability is what sold me and the safety. No other car in its class has the fuel economy, resale or world class looks. The Passat was sluggish and small inside. The Altima had cheap looking interior and the Camry drove like "your Father's Oldsmobile".

Test drove an Altima, Camry and CR-V before buying the Accord. Beautiful interior, comfortable seats , nice solid feel to most controls. Very smooth ride-excellent transmission. The small increase in horsepower over the 2002 is very noticeable. There are some problems, tho- the wipers streak (interestingly, our 2000 Acura has the same apparently unfixable problem) and the console makes a poor substitute for the dedicated armrest that was available in earlier vintage Accords.

The great mystery now is how Honda could pack such a big punch from four cylinders and yet have great fuel ecconomy! They did a tremendous job in this complete rebuild from the ground up. The quality is obvious throughout the entire car. I think we will have this one a long time! Thanks Honda!

This is a great car. I had a 99 Passat and this is better value. I have wind whistle on front passenger side and that is the only thing I find wrong. The back looks a little strange to me and the driver seat could have more adjustment. Power is nothing less than superb.

After 5 years of ownership car is excellent. Quality car. Fit and finish excellent. This is my 3rd Honda Accord. Great value. Average 18 to 19 mpg. city and 30 to 34 mpg. Highway. 4 cyl with plenty of pick up and go. Thinking of buying a 2008 Civic but I think I will stick with this beauty for a few more years.

I bought this Accord EX-V6 sedan brand new in December of 2002. Almost 6.5 years in, it has probably been out of service no more than a couple of weeks. I serviced primarily at two dealers (Braman in West Palm Beach, FL & Wade Raulerson in Gainesville, FL) - both are professional and prompt. I have a heavy foot, but my fuel economy is just ok. . . I struggle to get 20mpg with a 50/50 city/highway mix. Wind noise is unacceptably intrusive. However, engine and transmission refinement, overall ride quality, interior design and comfort, and the overall continued quality of this car are unsurpassed in the price range. Not without it faults, but definitely the best pick in this class of vehicle.

I purchased an EXV6 coming out of an Audi A6 lease. I'm amazed at the quality, ease of control, general comfort and feature list. It is not the driver's car that the A6 is, nor does it pretend to compete at that level, but for $12,000 LESS than the Audi...? I am VERY happy with this car and won't miss the oh-so-familiar Audi service department one bit.

Just bought my Honda Accord EX V6 from Garica Honda in ABQ. Perhaps paid $200 too much based on prices on the net, but it was the only White one in New Mexico. Have had the car one week and am more than satisfied. I'm no car expert however did compare the Accord to the Lexus ES300 and other than a large price difference and a few minor items, the new Honda is simply a joy to drive.

The 2003 Honda Accord is the best Japan car. I had it for 7 years. I bought it in 2003 and still have it. It runs great and it is a very fast car. The top speed I got it at the track is 140. My sister and I bought 2. She has one and I have one and I think you should buy one too. You will love your Honda Accord forever. Buy it! It will last you for long life.

This is a significant improvement from my 1998 4dr V6 Accord EX. It has much more power, the interior design is beautiful and much more comfortable, the tramsmission is far smoother, the stereo has been significantly improved, and the steering wheel controls are far more comprehensive. I test drove all of the rest of the competing cars and this one blew them all away. Best value on the road and at $20,000 less than a similarly equipped BMW there is no comparrison.

Substantially Better than Camry

We dreamed of buying a Camry for years and had a 2003 LE all picked out and then decided to take a quick look at the new Honda Accord just to make sure. We had already driven the Passat &decided it wasn't worth the extra $3500. We found the Accord to be better in the following areas: Brakes on the Camry were mushy and a disapointment. Pedal doesn’t respond until pedal half-way to floor. Accord has double-wishbone suspension and Camry doesn't. Accord interior totally outclassed Camry. Seats in Accord are far more comfortable. The style of cloth material in the Accord outclasses Camry's.

I recently bought this used to have a cash car and to get into something with better gas mileage than my truck. I love the styling and would say it on of my favorite years for being sporty and practical all in one car. I have lots of trunk space, the seats are comfortable and the stereo even sounds good. My main issue is I'm getting poor gas mileage. I wasn't expecting the EPA mileage, but for a 4-cyl, I was hoping for better than 20/30. I average about 23-24 mpg. I have explored all the gas saving tune ups too. I was getting 19-20 in my v-8 truck. I wish I would have opted for the 6-cyl as the mileage is about same with more oomph.

Original owner, now 7+ years old with about 70,000 miles, overall very reliable, nothing beyond regular maintenance until this year though the brakes need replacement too frequently. I had the rear first done at 20,000. Excellent mileage - 34-35 consistently on the long freeway trips, 26-28 in town mixed driving. The car is very responsive and peppy. The ride is a bit harsh however, and there is way too much road noise for a car in this class. This is my first Honda and I've been told road noise is common. My car tends to drift to the left and dealers have been unable to fully fix it. Annoying but not a huge deal.

Overall great car. Bought at Invoice and 3.49 financing! Good pickup. Smooth handling. Nice interior design. Comfortable bucket seats. Nice Black Leather. On the highway, kicks into lower gear like a charm for passing. Curves no problem. Picked over Passat because Passat uses Premium gas only for worse gas mileage. Big Back seat cabin -- bigger than Passat. Not your mom's honda.

This car is great. The 4-cyl is smooth and responsive. I test drove the automatic, and it was extremely smooth, but the 5-speed stick is much more fun. The stereo is even good, not what I expect in a honda! Much better interior than the old model, and quiter inside. Not sporty, but it can still be entertaining to drive. Fuel economy is excellent.

After reviewing some domestic sedans and looking at the Accord, Camary, and Altima, I came back to the Accord. I was amazed with the amount of room it had in the back seat. I also wanted a car that I could put miles on without a concern - not a problem for Honda. The exterior design is quite plain so I opted for the spoiler which gives is a sporty look. For someone who travels, I recommend the Navigation system. I love the voice activacted features. The only draw back was the difficulty of touch screen functions as the sun was hitting it at a certain angle. The V-6 is a must.Overall, I am one pleased owner - I love it.

My review may be a bit premature, however, I am so happy with this car and the buying experience that I felt compelled to post. I set out to replace a one year old Nissan with which I was not very satisfied. Looked at Volkswagen Jetta and Toyota Camry. Neither came close to The Accord in "bang for my buck". I took advantage of great financing offers and end of year deals. Walked out with $200 over invoice. Car feels very solid. Good quality workmanship throughout.

Bought this Accord new in 2003. It has met or exceeded all my expectations. We now have 200,000 km on the car and have made 2 unscheduled visits to the dealership. When the car was new, the low-washer-fluid sensor did not work, or was not connected. At 135,000 km the HVAC/Radio display went out and was replaced, no hassles by a good-will warranty. It's hard to find fault with this car. Clutch still works like new, very reasonable gas mileage, reasonable 4- cyl torque and Hp (161 and 160). Maintenance costs have been low. I am a true car enthusiast and while this car is not overly exciting, it does everything it is expected to do and does it well.

Basically I considered four different cars: VW Passat, Nissian Altima, Subaru Legacy and the Accord. All are nice and if price didn’t matter I would have gotten the Passat on the feel and looks. But after driving the Accord a few weeks there is just nothing to complain about. It feels so solid and quiet. The exterior is rather conservative, but if your after drag strip looks then you are in the wrong class of cars altogether.

My test drive was smooth and enjoyable. This car will take you where you want to go quickly and in comfort. The build and interior are top-notch, the dash layout is attractive and convenient, the gauges are large, clear, and attractively lit at night. The engine and transmission are so silky smooth and quiet that you hardly know it when you're accelerating. Unfortunately, it's also not very fun. If you're looking for affordable performance and quality even if it's a little boring, then this is the car for you.

I recently bought an 03 Accord LX 4dr 5-speed 4cyl, June 2008. I love the reliability of this vehicle. The gas mileage is great on the highway or in the city. With 25+ MPG, it is quite the gas saver. There are hundreds of after market modifications for this vehicle, making upgrading fun and a must. The interior is well laid out with an exterior that's just as well. The Accord is bigger and roomier than the civic making it a more comfortable ride. Options such as cruise control, steering wheel volume control, 5-disc changer and CD player add to the versatility and comfort. I love the fact that oil changes are needed only every 5,000 miles. For the price, an 03 LX was the best option for me.

I got the LX-V6 because I wanted more headroom and was willing to give up the sunroof to get it. It also helped that the car was $2500 less than the EX-V6. Car is quite, comfortable, fast and a pleasure to drive. Wife has a 2002 Toyota Camry SE-V6; good car with no fun factor. If you want a great car with a wonderful V-6, you must drive this car before you buy anything else.

One of the best cars on the planet for the price. The attention to detail and build quality are unbelievable for a massed produced car.The ride borders on luxury and the handling is great for the real world, the car is also pleasingly quiet.I agree with some of the other reviews in that there are cars that go faster or handle better on twisting mountain roads, but practically speaking most of us will not drive for those reasons alone. The Accord is a practical car in which it does everything good and nothing bad.

From the time I opened the door, I was sold on the 2003 Accord. I was pleasently surprised to find one of the most spacious and beautiful interiors I've ever seen. The automatic dual-climate control, in-dash 6 disk cd- changer, aluminum console/dash, driver and passenger heated seats, excellent gauge cluster, the tilting and sliding sunroof....is this really a Honda!? The V-6 with 5 speed automatic transmission is so sliky smooth, and a lot of power, yet very respectable gas mileage. My last car, a 1997 Honda Accord EX-V6 has come a long long long way in 6 years.

Excellent car. The 2003 Accord has great acceleration, a comfortable interior, and almost every conceivable option. I test drove the Camry, Acura TL, and the Nissan Altima. The Accord was the best value for the money. Excellent car, great resell value, handles great, powerful engine.

I recently bought my new 2003 Honda Accord and have previously owned 3 other Honda's. The new body style and the stereo control panel are extremely nice. It is a very quite vehicle and drives very smoothly.
